Our home warranty dispatched DKH plumbing for our water problem. I couldn't be more happier with the service. I used them because I had to due to the home warranty we had when we bought our house. I had them out multiple times because the hot water (to our master shower only) was not getting hot and would take 5-10 minutes of it constantly running to get warm. The technician came and checked out our hot water heater and drained it and said if that didn't work then we would need a new one. This didn't make sense because all other sinks and showers were getting hot immediately. I called them back again to say it wasn't working so he came back out and I asked about the water heater and he said that he would have to check his reports because he said he requested a new water heater but then tried to tell me the filter or sensor in the master shower handle needed replaced and needed to order the part. I waited about 4 weeks and finally had to reach out to their office to ask what was status and they finally got the piece a few days later and the same guy came back out to install the piece. Well it didn't do anything. I once again asked about the water heater and if we would need to replace it and he said "I'll check and get back to you." That was about a week ago and still nothing. I called out another company and they came out the same day and fixed the problem and immediately had hot water to the master shower. I would not recommend this place. If fact, please call 5 Star Plumbing and ask for Alex! He was amazing. read more

My home warranty uses these guys. I took (5) different days off to get a simple faucet replaced in the bathroom. When it was done I noticed a leak coming from the wall that was not there before they touched it. The water doesn't shut of right away when turning the faucet handles off (it runs for a few seconds before stopping and I was told this is residual water and is normal--NOT). The cold and hot handles coming from the wall (where the leak still is) do not match. I have a pedestal sink, so it shows (was told its because of different size cold and hot pipes). The person who came out was very nice but he had a handheld auger that was not very long it's not an auger I'm sorry it's a snake and it's not very long and so he was not able to clear my line in the sink so he told me that I needed a Hydro Jet so I got another plumber here and he he said it was a bunch of BS and he went and he had a really long white snake and he went in and unclogged it I just am really disappointed that people were telling me that and I knew that the snake he had was not adequate it's like something you would buy for personal use even my son has a bigger snake than that read more

I've been meaning to write this, but just been busy caught up with working from home and life in general. About 3 weeks to a month ago we used our home owner warranty for the 1st time because our water heater went out on us. I noticed we had no hot water and after checking the water heater I saw water all on the bottom. Our warranty company set us up and before I was off the phone they said a service company already picked up our request which made me happy to hear because we also have an infant. About an hour later I got a call from DKH Plumbing and they were able to come out that day to access the problem. We needed a new water heater. The owner and his son were very friendly and removed the old water heater so we could repair the sheet rock and water damage and let that dry up. We had to let everything dry for at least a day and on day 3 DKH Plumbing was back out and set up our new water heater. I didnt catch his name but he was the owner of the company and very friendly and easy to talk to. Hopefully I can get them out to look at our fridge water line when were not so busy. Thanks guys for getting us hooked back up. Bathing a baby in a sink with pans of warm water wasnt ideal but it worked for a day. Lol... just glad to be able to take a warm shower again :) read more

We had an issue with our plumbing so I called our home warranty company, Fidelity National home warranty . They sent DKH plumbing out to repair our kitchen sink that was leaking. The service man Daniel for one was not polite and acted like he didn't want to be there , he opened the cabinet door took one look at the pipes and said it's galvanize pipes and he can't touch them. Not trying to help the situation he said all the pipes throughout the house had to be replaced. He had me under the impression that no plumber could fix the sink without replacing all the plumbing. I had another service come out and fixed it no problem same day. For months I went without a kitchen sink because of one mans word. Peace of advice never use this service they are horrible and if you go thru a home warranty and the service contractor says something for warranty to deny you, pay out of pocket and get 2nd opinion. For some reason home warranty employs companies that are just adequate. I'm not happy with Fidelity home warranty as well for listening to this Daniel so called plumber. Worked out for the best because if I forked out all that $ he expected me to pay out of pocket because of what he told my warranty co, so thank you DKH you save me thousands of dollars. I had another real professional plumber and he fixed the problem same day. Best money I ever spent. read more

I had to have my water heater replaced. The receptionist was very helpful and scheduled my appointment sooner than what I thought was possible which was great! Knew exactly what needed to be replaced. DKH ordered the part and came back two days later and finished the repair in about 20 mins. Left the work area tidy, just as it was when he arrived. When the service is bad, I usually stay away from writing a review. I have my small business and always try to be in other person's shoes. ..In this case, I couldn't help, but put this review. Fidelity Home Warranty assigned DKH for a toilet stoppage for my rental property. They were not able to fix the issue and ended up in breaking the toilet. They blamed it on mishandling by my tenant and wrote a report such a way that Fidelity wouldn't even do any further work. They instead suggested me to file a claim from liability insurance. I didn't have time to chase the liability claim office., instead called another company and installed toilet & fixed the original stoppage issue. I ended up like a looser ....paid $500 for all services covered by home warranty + I paid service call of $75 for these guys for damaging. Don't use them.. read more

I wrote a one star review earlier and contacted Fidelity regarding the poor service I received. Fidelity showed the ticket open but when they contacted DKH, the tech had closed the ticket. I requested another tech and was originally told that only the original tech covered my service area. I told them that I did not want the same tech and I was contacting Fidelity to select another vendor. The dispatcher said the part the tech replaced was better than the original. I explained that tech told me it was a temporary as they did not have the right size and the temporary failed. I again iterated I did not want the same tech. The office manager called me and said they would send another tech out and asked for pictures of the failing part. Later the owner called and asked that I explain the situation and asked for all the numbers on the tank. A new tech was dispatched with the correct part but he said it didn't feel right so he changed out the entire system. Eureka!!! They apologized for the original tech. They said he shouldn't have closed out the call, that he did order the part and it did arrive but couldn't explain what happened. In any event, when I expressed my concerns they were responsive and did take care of my issue and concerns. They followed up after the repair which I am glad to say is working perfectly. If I could, I would remove or edit my original review but I seem unable to do so. read more

The first plumber from DKH was unable to fix our issue, but Damon emailed me late Friday night saying that he'd be out this morning to assess the situation. My shower kept dripping after the water was turned off. I called my home warranty company on a Saturday afternoon. Within 15 minutes, DKH called me and said they would be able to come that afternoon. I had already pulled the faucet handle off, so I sent them a picture of the cartridge as requested to be sure they had it before they came. Yesterday, while in the shower, the water stopped draining out of the tub and the toilet started bubbling and gurgling. The toilet and tub both filled with water and wouldn't drain out. Knowing immediately what the problem was, a clog at clean out where it joins the main line connection area, been there done that 2 years prior. Since we have a home owner warranty company, I immediately went online and filed a claim and was given the name of the company that my claim was issued to, D K H Plumbing. The claim said I could expect to receive a call by end of business day tomorrow, but I couldn't wait that long to get it resolved. Having a handicapped wheelchair bound elderly person 90 years old, we have one accessible bathroom in the house, and this was it, the hall bath. I called D K H Plumbing and spoke to a super sweet lady (sorry, I don't remember your name!) who worked with me to try and get someone out for us asap. She placed me on hold and immediately called "Brett" to see if he could get to us today. She picked my line back up and told me "this is your lucky day, Brett's having lunch and said as soon as he's off his lunch break he will come right out". He did just that. Brett arrived about an hour after my call and was nothing but professional, friendly and GOT THE JOB DONE! Thankfully I knew the proximity of where our clean-out was located and pointed him in the vicinity. He dug and picked and dug and finally found the lid and was very careful and thorough. He fixed the problem immediately, was very friendly, told me everything he was doing and why and put everything back in its place when done. I cannot recommend them highly enough, super friendly people, honest, thorough, timely and got the job done! Super happy, I will definitely call them if I ever need help with plumbing issues and I would recommend them to others as well.
