Great management and great crew…read more Had a pool pump stop working, and my normal pool guy immediately blamed a failed motor in the pump, despite it only being 2 years old and gave me a large quote to replace. I called Pelican for a second opinion and rather than just push new hardware, they did their due diligence to pinpoint the problem.They figured out that not enough power was being supplied to the pool panel and it ended being a bad breaker that was supplying too little voltage for the pump to operate. What stood out to me was that this company was RELIABLE and did great work. Then made a call. Mark, the owner, got back to me right away and provided a very reasonable estimate to fix and clean the fountain, and clean the tile all around the pool's ledge. Another plus: Pool Tile Dr's process for blasting away the calcium. Not those glass beads, but a different, more effective and environmentally safer solution. Scheduled an appointment and CJ arrived. Immediately I could tell he was very experienced, loved his work, and was eager to start the job. He put lots of care and integrity into his work. He was sympathetic to my time critical situation, and he genuinely wanted to be helpful. He would not accept any money despite my insistence. You just don't see this type of authentic integrity anymore. Excellent work ethic, extremely knowledgeable, quick response, and he didn't feel right charging me simply because he wasn't there in person.
