Very thorough, and while their price is high it's in line with the area. The issue I had was with their tint jobs. I've had 5 vehicles tinted at Capitol Shine, and while the first 4 were absolutely flawless, the 5th one had to be redone *three* separate times for major issues -- I'm not talking about a little speck of dust here or there, but major contamination. The final time they tinted the last vehicle, they ended up damaging the leather in the car by letting the tinting spray sit on the leather under the window for too long. To their credit, they apologized and refunded me for the tint job -- but I still had to go and have the leather replaced, which was a major pain in the ass. So, if you're looking for detailing - A+ work. If you're looking for tinting, be careful.

I cannot(!) say enough good things about this shop. First of all, the person at the desk could not have been nicer, more patient and complete. She took the list of what I wanted them to do. And it was done! They did not try to sell me services that I didn't want or need. They performed the service promptly, professionally and the cost was completely fair. I want companies to make money for providing me a service, otherwise they won't be in business when I need them the next time. But I don't want to be ripped off. I cannot recommend K&G Auto more highly for auto repair. I can't comment on the detailing service.

If you are in a hurry, just skip this review and take your vehicle to K&G Auto Repair and Detailing now! You will not regret it! This place is AWESOME! I am no "Master Mechanic", but have done a lot of work on my 1998 Tacoma. However, at my age and without off street parking or a garage in Old Town, maintaining the love of my life is getting difficult. However, I know when others do wrong things to my truck. The Toyota dealerships close by are way too expensive and the quality of the work has declined. I bounced around several independent shops and found them sloppy or incompetent. The last shop was fair in prices, but used junk parts. I had to pay $400 labor three times because the CV axles they installed were junk and the boots tore between 9-14 months. The owner said, "What do you expect, everything is made in China." That's a lie and I fired that shop. So, back searching again. I looked at many reviews on K&G Auto Repair and Detailing and liked what I read. The few bad reviews were from customers that did not know what they were talking about. Just go through them and you will see. I have met the Owner, Kostas, along with his Service Advisor, Sasha. They are both wonderful folks that listen and make sure your concerns/issues are well taken care of. I am a very detail oriented person and will often put together a list of details and instructions that would scare most shops. This was not the case at K&G. They gladly accepted my demands and did everything perfect three times and I will be picking of my truck tomorrow for the fourth time. The first time was a test. I had them do a Wax Detail Package, oil change, tire rotation and safety inspection. Everything was perfect! You would be surprised how many crappy detailers that are out there. K&G did a perfect job. Their auto detailing is fantastic! The second time was to have a stubborn front exhaust pipe and install two oxygen sensors replaced along with a Wax Detail Package. Everything was perfect! The third time was the big test in which I had them install a new timing belt kit (many parts), new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new ignition coils, fuel filter, new PVC valve & hose, new lower ball joints, oil change, transmission/differential/transfer case fluid changes and chassis lube, along with other things. I asked then to check my truck for anything else they could find. They only recommended a 4 wheel alignment because they replaced the lower balls joints. Once again, everything was done perfect! There was no upsell or recommending of unnecessary repairs. THIS IS MY PLACE!! My truck is currently there now for the fourth time. I requested the Wax Detail Package and state inspection. I also asked them to check/charge or replace the battery if necessary because I do not drive the truck as much as I should. They called me and stated the truck is ready and they found no issues with the battery. The trust factor just keeps getting better. Again, I write two types of reviews. This place is AWESOME when it comes to detailing and repairs. Their work is of the highest quality at a very reasonable price. Why are you still reading this? Although the price has change drastically (upward)....the consistency and quality of service remains on point. Yates is one of those car washes that you actually get a good wash and outcome of a clean car for it to be a machine wash. The service is quick, fast and very convenient. The secret here is not just in the machine wash, but the secret sauce is in how hard the workers that dry and detail your car afterwards perform. The folks here work really hard to clean your car inside and out. If not necessarily a full detail, but it's close to as if you paid for a full detailed service in my opinion. There were times I was even ashamed to open the door for them to clean my car! Lol. But, in all, you definitely get what you pay for here and that i is a quality wash that meets all expectations for the price. Besides the machine wash service, they do offer a hand wash service and full detail service that can be scheduled. The price varies based on the car type and size. I've never used the extended services, but from what I can see, they perform a great job, especially with detailing your car. My go to is the standard ultimate Wash. This service is a full complete inside and outside cleaning job for your car as well as inside mats and tire/wheel cleaning. One day I will try the hand wash and detail service, but for now I'm completely satisfied every time I stop by here. I highly recommend you give these folks to visit. My car has never been sprayed with it despite it being part of the package. This is a minor gripe and with how strong it was in my spouse's car I'm kind of glad they didn't, but it would be nice if they could have it smell nice as the package indicates. We definitely won't keep the membership for long just because it's too pricey, but after moving and having all sorts of dirt and stuff in our cars, this was a nice to have for a month of unlimited washes and interior clean. I contracted with District Detail primarily for cleaning the car, but told them I'd be happy with whatever improvement could be made with the body paint. Got the car back literally sparkling inside and out and they made tremendous improvement with the paint - and they were even able to re-clip the front bumper skirt that had gotten snagged and pulled out of place years ago! Steven kindly offered to try an additional product on some of the spots of missing paint which I'll be taking the car back for. Pricing was great and they were FAST; car was in at 7am and done by 2pm (the last time I took my car in for interior detailing at a chain company, they took nearly 3 days!)
