Vladimir was very unprofessional and his chosen method of communication (texting) was poor, to say the least. He stated he had practice courses set up which was false. His back door approach at picking up scooter was very unprofessional also. I cancelled the rental the day before as per his offer to cancel and credit my card, which he said he would that night soon cancellation and all he did was remove the pending deposit charge so now I have to dispute the rental charge thru my credit card company. The owner is real flexible in the drop off schedule and will work with you on how much time you need to practice for the riding test. I passed my test with the tips and 45 min of practice before taking. We meet in the parking lot an hour before DMV opened. We spent 10 to 15 mins of instruction and course tips. Then I practiced on my own the rest of the time. The test course was at an incline and required more attention to controlling the throttle up/down sides of the circle. It took me several tries to adjust to the throttle sensitivity -- the scooter power is delayed. I've owned motorcycles and was licensed in another state and never 'checked-the-box' to transfer my license to CA. I hadn't ridden for a number of years. The owner of this establishment is very rude and very confrontational! I was at the dmv with one of my students practicing for a drive test while they are closed so we drove up to where you exit out the dmv and the owner had both lanes blocked off with his car and scooter so I asked nicely if he can move a car to clear one of the lanes so we can get by and he looked over and said "NO!" in a very rude manner... I asked again and he started to get confrontational and got up to my face and told me to get out and that he is not moving any where. We argued for a few minutes and thankfully his wife was there and said she can move one of the vehicles that was blocking both lanes so everyone practicing for the drive test can get by. I just wanted to let everyone know how this man thinks and acts before you spend your hard earned money on this company... I would look elsewhere for sure. read more

DMV Rental Scooter went above and beyond when the DMV messed up and booked me for a regular driving test instead of a motorcycle test. He offered and allowed me to keep the bike as I was lucky enough to book another appointment a few days later. I felt so confident in passing after a few hours of practice. He goes through everything the dmv would ask, from paperwork to scooter inspection. Here's what I recommend: 1. Find a large empty lot or street that is flat so the course could be drawn on. I went behind a supermarket. Dips/bumps can mess you up if you are new at riding. 2. Keep the scooter speed at 5-6mph. This is very important as momentum will keep you up right. You will use the left (rear) brakes to engage and disengage through the turns. You will be and feel in control of the bike. 3. Find a comfortable position for the initial take off. I noticed that I would wobble at the start but addressed that by using the same foot each time to create muscle memory. Overall, pleasant experience and would recommend to any new and experienced rider. You will need the practice! Good luck. read more
