Our First American Home Warranty Insurance sent DN PLUMBING to us fire a pipe leak in our ceiling. They found the problem and fixed it

I was directed through Frontdoor app after purchasing my Moen water detection unit which included the install & a year membership with Frontdoor platform. I was given DN Plumbing and an appointment that was scheduled today between 10am-2pm. By 3:30pm, I never received any communication from them. So, I found them on yelp. Proceeded to call but their message was full. I proceeded to call Front door and their rep never returned my call as promised. Between Front door and their list of lack luster referrals doesn't leave a warm and fussy feeling about the quality and service to the end users. At 6pm tonight, being dark, the young plumber showed and said he would be able to install the water detection, electrical, WiFi set up in the dark. Not gonna happen. I don't have confidence in them. read more

They put the appointment too far out for a leak (you would think that would warrant some urgency). They no showed on me 3 times and I finally moved on. Our toilet was running and we replaced the flapper valve but that didn't work. We had an appointment with DN plumbing but they failed to show - no contact. Rescheduled for the next day, a Saturday. Plummer showed up, adjusted the flapper valve and said there was nothing wrong. Problem continued after he left and couldn't contact the office until Monday. Couldn't get an appointment until Wednesday. Again no show and no contact. No one answered the phone in the office after multiple attempts. This was through a home warranty insurance so maybe costumer service is not a priority. The insurance Company sent out another provider. This plumber asked the brand of the toilet. It was a Toto and generic parts do not work. He had it fixed in minutes. read more

Contracted through American Home Warranty which should already tell you how this review will go. They are notorious for choosing the cheapest companies with the worst reviews. He came out one time and said he needed to submit paperwork to move forward. Then found out that wasn't the case but he had to come back to break a hole in the wall to see where the leak was exactly. He cancelled the appointment AFTER the window for service. He was supposed to show up again today and after having someone sit at my house for 4 hours waiting, he was a no call, no show, won't answer stand up guy. This was the owner that I had communicated with which is so pathetic. No compassion, even after I explained I am a widowed mom working two jobs a with two children and I really need a kitchen sink. I have never had a more unprofessional experience with a contractor in my entire life. DO NOT use this company. I did not choose to hire this person. He was contracted through Front Door, a third-party service, and on the first appointment, even though he had a 4-hour window, he said he would be at our home right at the end of that period... except he showed up 90 minutes beyond that. Even though the installation fee was included in the service we ordered through Front Door, when he looked at the situation, he claimed it would cost an additional $400, and that was only after he told me I could save money by digging a 24x18" deep hole in my garden, I'm assuming so he didn't have to get any dirty under his precious fingernails. He couldn't start the job until we approved the new quote through Front Door. After we approved the quote, he was rescheduled to return, but he couldn't be bothered to show up within the 4-hour window. But this time, we couldn't wait for his unprofessionalism. We called Front Door and had to reschedule once more. Jump ahead to today when he was supposed to be here between 1-5 pm, and by 4 pm, we hadn't heard anything from Front Door or this dude. My wife called to find out what was happening and was told he would likely arrive at 5:30 because he was stuck in traffic. That would already be unacceptable, but of course, this clown doubled down and didn't show up until 6:30! When he came to the door, completely oblivious and forgetful of the first time he had been by our home, I curtly explained how unsatisfied we were by his lack of respect for our time, and I asked him to give us some compensation for it, but the best he could offer was a $50 reduction (not even 10% of what he wanted us to pay). I was livid but kept most of my composure. I'm sure my body language told a different story, but I told him to go ahead and do the work. He started to look at the problem, and I went back inside. Not 2 minutes later, my wife received a text message saying the contractor (this clown) had canceled the call. We looked outside and he left without saying anything. I repeated DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS-the epitome of unprofessionalism. I can't even imagine how he's still in business, but he shouldn't be. Run!!! Run far far away from this company. They were no shows 4 times, 4 times I stayed home from 11-3 with not a single call. They don't pick up their phone and have the worse customer service possible. I've left upwards of 4 messages for them and not 1 has been returned. This company shouldn't even be in business. Oh and they misdiagnosed my issue the one and only time they showed up. I've now had an active leak for 2 months and not an urgency for them to fix it...or rather even show up! Put this company at the top of a do not use list. No one answers the phone. If you leave a message no one calls back. If texting it shows read with no response. If your home warranty assigns them to you immedaitely call and ask for a reassignment. Luckily I was able to get First American to assign it to different company. read more

I scheduled my appointment in the morning, but I received a text same day that DN changed my appointment to the afternoon without notifying me or asking me if it it ok. As I waited during the afternoon , No one came. I tried to call DN several times and no one picked up. I had taken a full day off work for them and they never arrived or responded to my phone calls. David came out today because I have a low flowing pressure with the hot water in my kitchen faucet it's gotten to where no water was barely coming out. This company was sent to my home after I contacted my home warranty company about a stoppage in my kitchen sink. The technician arrived on a Saturday and attempted to snake the drain, but the snake got tangled. After he finally got the snake out of the pipe, he said his supervisor would be out Monday morning to "see what the problem was." No one ever showed up or answered any of the 6 phone calls. I guess the supervisor was able to diagnose the problem from his office. On Tuesday, I received an email from the warranty company indicating DN plumbing had diagnosed the plumbing issue as an "improper fitting" which was not covered under the warranty and would cost $3500 to repair. Totally disgusted with the situation I called another plumber who snaked the drain and corrected the problem. I am canceling my contract with AHS because of their involvement with this company. read more

I barely write negative reviews but this had to be done. - service was requested via FAH warranty - this business is hard to reach, get a hold of by warranty agents or myself - Issac came out with attitude to refuse service to our request - we had a lot of back and forth with warranty which is frustrating - Issac came out again second time just to look at, do nothing and left. Then later write a report to warranty like he "investigated and tested" a lot of things. Please avoid this business at all cost unless you are assigned to it by insurance or warranty. read more

They opened up my wall and couldn't diagnose the issue & never followed up. On the second even, (due to home warranty company choosing same provider) he comes out and says I need asbestos testing even though this building was built after 1977.
