Personally really like the Pizza, but it does have a bit of a sweet crust. The good news is it is not like Pizza anywhere else in the country so I enjoy eating in when back in town. Came here for breakfast- took forever to get sat when there was no one in front of us as well as after our ordering being taken we did not get drinks for twenty minutes and a completely different server had to come take our drink orders. A lot of folks aren't going to "get" this place, but it's pretty much the exact same "sweet-pizza" you'd find in a "Greek Pizza" joint in New England. Be advised that a "Greek Pizza" is not one with feta cheese but rather a variant of a crispy, deep-dish with a shelf of cheese solidified mass. Similar examples would be "Chris' Famous Pizza" in Methuen, MA or "Princess Pizza" in Lawrence, MA or "Salem House of Pizza" in Salem, NH. After asking the owner if they were Greek, or from New England, they admitted they weren't. I mentioned that this was a "Greek Pizza" style place and they had no idea what I was talking about, offering me a Californian-style feta-cheese option proudly (and ignorantly). Somehow, they stumbled upon a Greek-style New England pizza by sheer accident in the same way if you leave a group of monkeys in a room with a typewriter, however improbable, they'll come up with a script for Hamlet by accidental probability eventually as is mentioned in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". I was the only patron at 2pm (which is a very bad sign). Basic pepperoni medium would take 35 minutes (it did, and came out a tad burnt on the outside, a bit raw on the inside but not unpleasantly so). During my wait, I was offered an appetizer. I noticed they had cannoli, which is great, and came in both Italian or Mexican (odd, cinnamon?) So I asked how long that would take and they said 35 minutes to my surprise. I asked if they made them fresh right there, which would have been amazing and they said they did! She asked what I might like in it. Again, pretty amazing, as a cannoli is an Italian pastry with a sweet cream filling, sometimes, if you're lucky, with chocolate chips muddled within, then added powdered sugar over it. Pretty impressive. I was offered pepperoni and my jaw dropped in confusion. They said they put any pizza toppings inside. Am I in Wonderland? Like Lewis Carol I instantly acquired a migraine. What sort of madness is this? Why is Pueblo dining so odd? Turns out that their version of a "cannoli" is ACTUALLY a calzone, so caveat emptor, kids. I declined a "pepperoni cannoli". They had no idea what I was talking about (again). Do a Google search on cannoli anytime. Even retarded kids on the East Coast know what the frack a cannoli is. I was pretty annoyed with their complete ignorance of Italian cuisine concepts. The menu is retardedly diverse with no rhyme or reason, trying to be a sports-bar no one would ever go to as well as a pizza joint and a burger joint and a Mexican restaurant with lots of green chilies because, hey.. it's Pueblo, right? Stupid. Green chilies are definitely a New Mexican thing. Get your own identity, Pueblo! Seriously. Jesus. Décor is typical Pueblo filthy, so expect that, as nothing in Pueblo has been cleaned since 1930. Even new buildings just put-up in Pueblo West are filthy inside. Floor was poisonously carpeted like they took it out of an adult theater. Fountain in center of dining area lacking 2 feet of water. Ceilings make you ill. Pepsi is served here, which is great, but in plastic cheap cups frosted-over from use and harsh water etching sides and accenting floor impacts. Silverware is out of a greasy diner with a potentiality for mouth-HPV. After almost 40 minutes the pizza cannot be eaten and must rest for 20 minutes or you'll get 4th degree burns and turn to ash, so, again, you wait. It's best to go not hungry because you'll wait (or be turned to ash and writhe in burnt agony). The sweetness of a New England Greek Pizza is derived from the sauce. In Do Drop Inn's case, it's derived from the crust, which is confusing as it is like stale wedding cake but if you don't dissect it too much, it works in the same NE-GP fashion crunch-crunch. Pizza is very filling. 2 or 3 slices off a medium should satisfy an average hungry full-grown man easily as it's dense and solid and sits in your gut like a rock, your stomach confused about what's going on with this pepperoni wedding cake, burnt with tomato frosting. Aside from that, it's generally good. Cook-time is ridiculously slow. Service from the wait-staff is acceptable. If you're from New England, it's nostalgic serendipitously. Enjoy, but expect an hour wait to eat. read more

Best pizza in Colorado! The use of the honey wheat in the crust really sweetens things up and makes for a very unique pizza experience. The pizzas do take 45 min to make but when you see the size of them you will understand why. A medium will easily feed 4. Try the Hawaiin, I think it works best with the crust. The Bacon Cheeseburger is fantastic, something about the way they season the hamburger meat makes it incredibly savory and not over salted. After a trip to Pueblo Lake this is the best place to have a drink and a slice of pie. read more

Not a fan of sweet pizza crust. Ever. The crust here is not just slightly sweet, it's overly sweet. This makes it not taste right when dipping it in ranch. Apparently things change. I eat here frequently as it's the only decent breakfast joint in Pueblo West. Once I figured out what to order, things got better. I usually have either the Breakfast Burrito, Steak and Eggs, or the Gyro. All are excellent and a lot more than I can eat. That being said, from what I can tell, they have one skilled waitress and a bunch of inexperienced kids servicing their customers. The times I've been in and not gotten the skilled waitress have been arduous - long waits to place my order, long waits for food, long waits for the check, and no refills. the thing is I know that they can do better because the one skilled waitress has none of these issues anytime I am there. If I were rating just her and the food it'd be a 4 but I can't ignore the times I've not had a good experience. read more

Went to Do Drop last night and was told at the door "You CAN NOT eat here. We are too busy. You CAN NOT eat here till after 8 o'clock." The hostess was so rude! As I tried to process the fact we were being denied service, she stared me down with such a cold look. I understand if they were busy, but there were empty tables in the restaurant and the hostess did not ask if we'd like to put our name on a wait list. This place is great. They've got almost every beer you can think of, and the bar is open all hours of the day. 7AM shots anyone? Perfect if you're getting off a night shift. It's a very nice place as far as family restaurants go, I do not recommend pizza or Italian food here, the pasta sauce is like water. Now with that said, the fries are amazing, the other sandwhiches and burgers are great. Our waitress put up with stress and my family complaints and was still sweet and was on everything without question. The manager seemed to be a little annoyed and maybe even angry. ($47 before tip. I don't want to come off as cheapskate, but for one (1) cheeseburger and fries plus one (1) appetizer of onion rings and 4 drafts = $47 before tip - the food should have been huge servings/bold flavors and maybe 22 OZ beers, not .... 16 Oz lil glasses. Service was outstanding I must say. The menu was all over the place with options in Italian, Mexican, Americano and Miscellaneous, which indicated everything was going to be potentially freezer/defrost/fryer-griddle/served. I would rate Do Drop five stars, but it does take a while to get your food, and is a bit pricey, but if you can tolerate that then you will have a delicious pizza. It is different than a traditional pizza, but that is what makes it special. It is very filling and isn't a bad option for a family meal. This pizza is a must have in the Pueblo area. read more

We read the mixed reviews and decided we would try this place for ourselves. We were very disappointed. On the positive side, The restaurant was clean and laid out well. The waitress was knowledgable and friendly and they have several beers on tap. However, we found the food to be very bland. We did not order pizza though, we weren't in the mood to try a sweet crust and for the price, we didn't want to not like it. They should allow people to sample it. But the green chili didn't have any flavor at all. I was very disappointed. The patty melt was flavorless as well. We had four people in our party and none of us were impressed for the prices. In general, I'm always pleased with the food and experience here. Some servers better than others just like anywhere else but most recent few visits have been very good. Today we stopped for breakfast which we had not done for as long the time but I bragged to the others about the Do Drop special which is two eggs, toast, home fries and ham steak. I said wait and see the size of the amazing ham steak I'd get. I got my order and the steak was so thin there was actually holes in the middle of it. The others were very amused and I felt like an idiot for bragging on it. The rest of the food was great, everyone loved it but I sure got shafted on my ham. Last time I'd ordered it, I got a thick slab of ham maybe 1/4 inch or more and it took up the whole side plate it was served on. It was definitely a signature item for the breakfast menu, and if you're going to name a dish after the restaurant, it should reflect the best you have to offer! Come on DD management... don't cut corners like that and disappoint your fan base. If your cost is high just raise the price or make it up on side item sales. We were there about 20 minutes ago. We got seated and looked at the menu. We waited on the server to come over to our table. We waited a good10 minute and no one came to our table. After we saw the people came later than us getting their drink on the table, so we left. The lady works over there saw us leaving and looked at the table nothing on it, she did not do anything. We got seated right away and there were empty tables so it was nothing they were busy. Just nobody wanted to pay attention to us. Do Drop Inn serves great "pizza". It is not really pizza, more of a sweet bread. They are a little slow, and when it comes out, you have to wait a little longer if you value the cells on the roof of your mouth, but it is worth it. Once it cools, however, this is a savory treat like no other in Pueblo. The slices are huge and in many cases one is enough to fill you up. Go on Tuesdays and they have pretty much a buy-one-get-one deal that will give you leftovers for a week. My one wish is that they put table clothes down because their plates slide all over the place when you try to cut your "pizza" (remember, knife and fork are acceptable because it's not really pizza!). Do Drop is a favorite of mine, and great staple for dinner. read more

Not only did it take forever, some girls didn't even get their food before we had to leave an hour and forty five minutes later. Absolutely Fantastic! Great ambiance and cheerful staff. But let's talk about the food. I've had many pizza's throughout the years, but Do Drop Inn pizza is definitely unique. An unusually sweet crust and provolone cheese will make this pizza joint far different from the rest. I do have to say that's it's one of my favorite pizza's of all time. It comes in the sizes of large and medium. A medium will by far feed a party of 4. I'll order the large next time so so I can enjoy it the next day. Multiple toppings to choose from as well as red and white sauces. However, don't be fooled into thinking that this is just a place for pizza. With a large menu including burgers, chicken sandwiches, and fried spaghetti, you really cant go wrong with finding something great to eat. BTW-1/2 price Margarita's on Fridays. read more

A few friends and I went to dinner here a few days ago and suffered some seriously bad service. Our server had no idea what drinks they served and had a very poor disposition. She made us feel foolish for asking for a drink menu and was unapologetic in her ignorance. The food was not quite what we expected in both taste and price. Burgers don't come with fries, fires cost an additional $2.50 on top of your already overpriced burger. The Alfredo was the consistency of a soup and the shrimp still had tails. All in all it was a terrible experience. When we received our receipt, there were additional charges and incorrect information on our orders. On our way out we were asked how the service was and when we told her that we would not be returning she shrugged it off as if nothing was wrong.
