One thing I couldn't wait after my shift, the 2nd year, (this year) I couldn't wait to eat the food she had. The guy in front of me in line, took the last turkey Caprese. When it was my turn, I was sad to tell her that I wasn't sure what I should get anymore, because some things were sold out, including the turkey Caprese the last customer bought. She actually solved the issue, by letting me know that she would add the turkey onto the veggie Caprese. Problem solved, exactly! That made me happy so quickly, I loved her truck & HER even more. LOL My husband got the hotlink sandwich, and he definitely enjoyed that as well. Kelly has a sense of humor, so don't get offended at her jokes. LOL Honestly, every year that I will work at Fort Mason for NYE, I will definitely stop by her truck, after my shift ends. If any food truck is worth, it's hers.

I think the problem is that I couldn't get past the lack of a restroom in the area. They had some portables, but they are making food and we are supposed to eat it. Where are they washing their hands? This area is also pretty cold so if you go, make sure that you have a coat, scarf and hat. I'll never make that mistake again. But because of the cold, I didn't want to eat outside so our food got a cold, but it was good. My husband liked the food he got, but gluten free options are super limited. They get a third star because of the bar! Now there was only one person working there and that's fine because he could go get a snack or something and come back to pour drinks, but again. The restroom issue. Where does he wash his hands, what if he has a cold and sneezes into them, and so on. That's where my mind went. The vendors are quite nice and were helpful and weren't mean when they answered my GF questions and I appreciate that. So, this is like the little engine that could. I can see that it is a gathering spot for people and they have music and speakers which is cool. So I saw and felt a community vibe and people really seemed to like going. If I lived in the area, I may try it a bit more, but in all honestly, Oakland Museum's Off the Grid event is everything I wish this was. I'm sure that they will get there, but don't want to hang out while they figure it out.

Portion was huge. Kimchi didn't taste hella pickled or spicy, it went well with taco. Had to eat this with a fork because it was impossible to pick up since it was fully loaded. I saw a long line in front of a nondescript green truck and saw "BBQ" from a distant. I didn't realize it was Ariang until I got a bit closer to the front. I ordered the Kimchi tacos (2 for $10). Its a bit of a misnomer since they load the tortilla tacos with piles of marinated, juicy beef and chicken, lots of lettuce with dressing, and a few pieces of kimchi. This is something you absolutely need to eat with a fork, since I can barely see the tortillas. I liked the meats but think this dish is too close to a salad. I expected to get some spicy-tart from the kimchi, but they seemed overwhelmed by the salad dressing which tends to be sweeter. Overall not bad - maybe 3 stars. I think I liked the offerings from Koja Kitchen a bit more.

No earth-shattering innovations, but sometimes regular old taco truck menu does the trick. Gringa Quesadilla: This was like one of those supersized extra cheesy flour tortilla quesadilla that you'd get at a chain restaurant with a lot of flair. However, despite the American casual-dining vibe, the meat was pretty awesome. No choices of meat for the quesadilla, just al pastor as described on the menu. Heavily marinated and charred pork, which was just delicious. And even a few bites of pineapple. Felt a tad pricey to pay $17 (all-in) for a quesadilla, but it was extremely filling. Deep Fried Quesadilla: Loved the concept, but not quite what I was expecting. I thought it would be a normal quesadilla that was deep fried, kinda like a chimichanga is deep fried burrito. But it was more like cheese empanadas that were deep fried, then partially cut open and filled with steak, lettuce and queso fresco. I did really enjoy the double cheese and the fried dough aspect though. And the simplicity of ingredients paired very well with the green salsa. More reasonably priced at $11.40 all-in.

The burrito and chips were majorly lacking flavor because of this, so I feel it should've been like a dollar off or something to compensate. I also wish it had been clearer - there was a sign that said they were out of pico de gallo, but I thought it meant when ordering it as a side of chips & pico de gallo, not altogether AND with no alternative for the burrito. -it comes with onions and cilantro, but also nowhere to be found. I mean I guess it's technically and probably in the guacamole? But I didn't notice any at all. -my burrito also came with cheddar cheese, but it wasn't supposed to. I was considering adding cheese, so it was a nice surprise, but I'd be upset if I was lactose intolerant and found out once opening it up at home. It was also a weirdly little amount of cheese? Borderline not sure if it fell into the burrito on accident or was on purpose. -lastly, the first two huge chunks of pork were half fat, amounting to ~2 full mouthfuls of fat. SO GROSS. Tbh I could probably get past any of these issues individually, but it was quite bad altogether, and certainly not worth the $14+ and 20% tip. I hate to leave low star reviews, but I hope the business takes this feedback into account.
