This is a must visit when in Tennessee in search of good local craft quality moonshine. This is not the big Ole Smoky multi-million dollar business but it has character and quality in every sample of their moonshine. My group from CA had a most excellent time visiting this location multiple times during our week long stay. I stopped in for the free moonshine tasting but I had a lovely time. The bar tender was funny, the playlist was fantastic and the craft moonshine was great. Normally I need a chaser for straight liquor but they create some quality stuff that stands alone. I ended up buying the rum, my only regret was that I didn't get more. read more

First off, $5 for 13 samples is AMAZING! The girl with the green hair at the front desk was a little rude which turned me off but we still decided to do the tasting. Our bartender was Lisa. She provided great service and gave us interesting facts about each of the flavors we were tasting. They start you off with the strongest one, 125 proof, which BURNS, but it's nice cause they rest are like chasers and are more flavor then alcohol taste. They were out of the small bottle of our favorite flavor which definitely lost them some sales. read more

Doc Collier... disclaimer I don't get paid for this review. But after trying all moonshine distillery in 1 day, they are by far the best. Thanks Anthony for a wonderful experience, and being knowledgeable about the product. The other guys are just to commercial for my taste and Doc Collier's still has that independent taste and feel to it. This is not a discouragement from trying the other guys as I did, but if your pressed for time, this should be your stop. Oh yeah the Peach was my favorite. But at the end of the day, it was all a little too sweet for my taste and all appear to be a mixer for a very intense strong punch bowl at your next backyard party on Super Bowl shindid. Easily my favorite moonshine!! You pay $5 for about 15 samples and you get the $5 in a coupon which you can use that day! We left with root beer and the hazelnut cream, but all their moonshine tastes amazing! We stumbled upon this place after watching part of the Blake Shelton show for the opening of his restaurant Ole Red on a Wednesday. We jumped in at the end of the sampling which was awesome for $5 for 15 samples and varieties. I never had moonshine before but I was highly impressed with the service and quality. The bartenders were super personable and fun to have run the show. We wound up buying a Apple Pie and a Tootsie Roll flavor Moonshine. They gave us free shot glasses and the place was fun from start to finish. read more

I found this to be one of the most enjoyable moonshine distilleries in town. The staff greeted us like family and were very informative about the product. As far as the moonshine itself, I found this to have a more crisp and clean finish as compared to other local distilleries. They all had a smooth finish and the fruit flavored moonshines were not overly sweet. Very enjoyable! It's just past the aquarium, so try not to miss it! read more

Free moonshine tastings! Woot woot! The Blackberry and Peach were tasty enough that we had to bring some home. It was quiet when we went (about 11am) so we were able to walk right in and sample. Server was friendly, courteous, and knowledeable. When in Gatlinburg, TN check it out! read more

Best of all the regional distilleries! Uses English Mountain water and local ingredients. Their flavors are also real fruit, etc. Not as sweet as the rest so the full flavor comes through. Try them even though their location is at the end of the Strip. Worth the effort! ! read more

The bartender named Chelsea was explaining the alcohol and I didn't hear her and asked her to clarify. She answered with an attitude and she kept this attitude for rest of the tasting. She had said "if you were listening, you would know what I said." I was expecting better and was sadly disappointed. read more

This is the new kid on the block so you have to forgive them a little. The place looks cool from the outside and the inside seems like an old drug store from maybe the 30's or even earlier. It looks like a wine tasting room which I thought was nice. It was not immediately clear what the prices of the alcohol products were. I never did find out as there are limited signs. The tasting, in presentation, was was the worst of the main drag Gatlinburg places. They only let you taste 6 or 7 varieties and all of then were a little too sweet for me. The "presentation" of the servers seemed contrived. Hopefully they will come out with more traditional moonshine and in a better strength. I did not see anything over 80 proof and that was only one kind if I recall. They are a small operation and make, bottle and label right there by hand. That is unique and worth paying a little more for. So there are pluses and minuses. The sweet tasteful moonshines we tried were actually good for what they were. Go for taste when in Gatlinburg, not presentation. The presenter said they are the only place that uses 100 percent spring water. That is unlikely. I likely will not return there unless they come up with more unique traditional style moonshines. The ever present "berry" flavors get old after awhile. read more

We were in town for the week and almost missed this place. It has a little moonshine bottle on the roof outside. They are right before No Way Jose. Since they are really new I wasn't expecting much but to my surprise they are now one of my favorites. Their shine was very smooth. They had an apple pie mixer that was good but other flavors and Brandy will be coming soon. Plus they sale little bottles that are easier on the wallet. read more

Went here on the wine tour. Didn't really want to get in all the traffic of Gatlinburg but we had to mark this one off the tour. I'm glad we came. The staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable.
