Cannot recommend this place enough! Reservations are easily made on opentable. The restaurant is beautiful and the view of the lakefront during sunset is unbeatable! Was so happy to be seated by the window. Everything we tried was excellent. The bruschetta (gone before i had thing to take a photo) was one of the best I've had - crispy toasted bread, fresh burrata and herbs; the tomatoes were memorable on their own. All the pastas were reasonably priced in the $20-30 range for the portion and quality. I could only finish half my rigatoni and took the rest home. The black truffle pasta was also a favorite at our table. Additionally, do not leave here without trying the espresso martini! 10/10 must order.

We love this restaurant. We have visited multiple times and it's always great never disappoints. The ambiance is fantastic as are the cocktails. Favs are the chicken piccata and the crab stuffed shrimp. Anxious to try the Amalfi Seafood pasta and the carbonara. Recently tried the Northern Salad wit poached pear, arugula, crispy pruchitto and sweet walnuts. Excellent!!

If you're looking for a place in Galveston that feels like a perfect blend of Miami cool, New Orleans charm, and laid-back island vibes, this Italian spot is it. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere invites you to relax and stay awhile. It is effortlessly coastal. The food is absolutely outstanding. The homemade pastas are the star of the show. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted and full of authentic Italian comfort with a coastal twist. And let's talk about the focaccia bread... it is to die for as it is warm, pillowy, and garlicy! The cocktails are just as impressive and beautifully balanced. Add in the excellent, genuinely friendly service, and you've got the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.

Classic high end southern feel with great view overlooking the water. Different for Galveston, but fits the eclectic makeup of the city. Overall very nice with good service. The seafood was great and the desserts were massive.

Delicious Caesar salad although the form of it is a little odd. Uncut leaves of Romaine with dressing and croutons, so you have to cut it. Also be warned, it's easily enough for 4 people. I'd order it again as it was quite tasty. Bread plate very good and a nice size. Rigatoni bolognese absolutely to die for. It was a huge serving so I forced myself to eat only half of it so I wouldn't get overly full and would have the rest for lunch the next day. Service very attentive. They kept our water glasses full, brought clean forks after the salad course and generally made sure we were taken care of. Will definitely return.

Veal Piccata (minus the olives) - so tender and flavorful!

Absolutely wonderful! A great upscale neighborhood vibe with attentive service. Ariel was great! The food was amazing. Every bite was so tasty. Very good wine list - we found a couple to add to our personal favs. The Northern Salad was dressed perfectly - totally hit the spot. The Veal Piccata was so tender and flavorful. Asparagus was grilled to perfection with just the right amount of lemon and chili. We finished with the Boozy Affogato which was a little messy but worth every bite/sip! Highly recommend Palmetto Osteria.

This place is the bomb! It's out of the beaten path but def worth the trip. Service, food, and ambiance. They have it all. Starting with drinks - My Negroni was perfectly balanced and hubby Marg was too. Next up, we split the Caesar salad. Each leaf was brushed with dressing, not too little not too much. Topped with more Parmesan! Finally, our entrees did not disappoint. The pasta is made in-house. The Meat sauce with the rigatoni was lightly seasoned in true Italian form. Simple tomato and Basil. Let the meat and freshness of the sauce shine. Finally the black truffled fettuccini was rich and well balanced, though I would have preferred a little less sauce. Our server was attentive, even though we were the only outside table. We look forward to returning and trying more items on the menu!

Hostess told us "By the way, be mindful there is another reservation behind y'all at 6:15." For context, we had a reservation at 5:15, giving us only an hour to eat. This doesn't seem like a quick service restaurant. The location and atmosphere seem like a good spot to enjoy a meal out without the strict time limit. The food and service were amazing on the other hand!! Just kind of disappointing that was the first impression when trying this new restaurant.

    Idk

I'm actually speechless. This place definitely is one of the best I've ever experienced. The cost in relation to portion size, quality, taste, etc. ambience is top tier. Food was top tier. Pricing, location, all of it was goated.

My husband and I decided on a date night and this place looked great to try out. I made reservations and we were a little late, and the table wasn't ready when we arrived. So we had to wait for them to set the table. Host didn't greet us either when we walked in. Tried the Palmetto margarita which was very refreshing after a hot Texas summer day. However, would definitely recommend a bottle of wine next time. Great prices and a great selection. We tried the flatbread to start with. My husband had the frutti di mare which he said was so good! Lots of flavor and exactly what he was expecting. I tried the chicken piccata and the white wine sauce was so good! I was regretting not getting a bottle of wine to pair this with. It also comes with buttered noodles on the side which were so good. We left so full. Next time will make a reservation earlier because it's the perfect spot to watch the sunset.

We came for our wedding anniversary and this was a great choice. Great food, friendly service and a nice view. Husband has the warm olive appetizer. I'm not an olive fan, generally, but I ate at least three of them! Restaurant is on the other side of the island from where we stayed, but it was worth the drive. And the entire community is lovely.

They were all speedy and friendly, helpful when it came to selecting cocktails and food. Chocolate martinis are still delicious, as are the fruity frou-frou drinks - but not that strong. And each time I got bubbly or a mimosa, it was warm. I still drank it, but meh. Drinks are still more than you'd want to pay for a not-so-stiff drink, but what hotel bar isn't pricey? I spent probs more than $100 just on myself, so I rec just buying a bottle. You have to have a wristband to access the pool and get towel service; not sure how to get a band if you're not staying at the hotel. I guess you could always rent a cabana. Which are pretty pimp. Flat screen TV, couches, fresh fruit, bottled water and of course, poolside view and VIP service. Cabanas sell out fast, so book early (weeks ahead, not days) if you're gonna drop in on a weekend. The crowd here is an even mix of families, hotties and regular Joes, which I like. I did, however, notice a lot of hot moms with their kiddos. Great idea for those moms looking for a quick getaway that can entertain both adults and youngsters. Potties: Please use them. Don't go in the pool. As added persuasion, the restroom inside the main lobby has a tub of fragrant salt scrub that's complimentary. They also have foot showers, a mojito bar, wet bar, hot tub, kiddie slide with a grotto. There's a no-smoking rule here. I'm not a smoker, but I wanted to enjoy my Hight Cigar and feel all baller like. Ah well, I'll save it for another day.

The interior of the restaurant is small, but interesting. The pizza making portion of their kitchen is visible from the tables, so you can watch them as they make the pizzas. Our waiter was super friendly, and the service was excellent. We started off our meal with the fried mushroom appetizer. Usually, when you order fried mushrooms, you get an entire mushroom dipped in breading and fried. Here the mushrooms are chopped into chunks before breading and frying. It came with both marinara and ranch for dipping sauces. We loved having the smaller chunks, because if you've ever eaten fried mushrooms, you know that when you bite into them , the juice can sear your mouth. By using smaller chunks, it was much easier to eat, especially when piping hot. We were surprised that they didn't carry banana peppers as a topping for pizzas, but other than that, our pizza was fabulous! We deliberately bought a larger pizza than we needed, because we were looking for leftovers. The pizza heated up well the next day! We would highly recommend visiting Mama Teresa's!

But as I was looking at the photos of the pizza, I was trying to understand why the rating was so high. It honestly just looked like pretty standard pizza, so I couldn't quite figure out the angle. But then our meat lovers pie came to the table and I understood. I can't quite describe to you what made this pizza unique, but there was something different about it. I think it might simply be that the crust was airy. Whatever it was, I really enjoyed it. Granted, that magic flavor tended to dissipate as the pizza sat and got a bit soggier, but I still really enjoyed it. My wife ordered chicken parm and she really loved it, but I thought the sauce was a bit on the watery side. Either way, I'm happy we finally got the chance to visit, as we've had Mama Teresa's bookmarked for a while now.
