    Dynamite Shrimp
    Stefani S.

First time trying out this place. I ordered half dozen of best fried shrimp, dynamite shrimp, and half dozen of large boiled shrimp. The best fried shrimp comes with one trip salad and French fries. The one trip salad means you can only take one time to their salad bar. All the food just standard ok in my opinion. Nothing special or really delicious. In the salad bar, they have fresh veggies, all the salad toppings, salad dressing and potato salad, chicken salad, tuna salad. FYI, the boiled shrimp is cold like it's come out from the fridge. The service is fast but the waiters seem rushing us to order. I mean this is our first time and we need time to take a look the menu which I did explain it to her as well. The place is clean and big. Plenty of parking spot during the Lunch time on the weekend. I think it's not worth to come back here, just this one time is enough.

The food and service were horrible. We arrived for the early specials and they were late seating us. The attendant seated us with the early special menu but they would not honor it. If the waiter had been on time taking our order it would have been in by 5:15 the deadline. Will not be back. Overpriced and terrible service.

This was my first visit to this newest location of Doc's Seafood. Prior to this visit I've only eaten at the Doc's Seafood on Canal Road in Orange Beach. I have to say the experience at this Foley location was a massive upgrade from all my prior experiences at Doc's. I had their prime rib special for my initial visit and it was among the best prime rib experiences I've ever had. The service was attentive and the ambiance of the new building is really nice. They also have a nice looking salad bar here. Overall I was really happy with my overall experience and plan on adding this spot to my worthy of a return visit list.

We have been to the Orange Beach location several times and always enjoyed it. This is a new location so we gave them a try. Not much of a crowd at 8:00 pm on a Monday, but the service was good and the food as well. Everything is clean and new. My wife had the fried shrimp and had the spider sandwich. The shrimp were delicious as expected. My soft shell crab was small, but it was crispy and tasty. And as usual, we got too many French fries. The Mud Slide was chocolatey and refreshing. Our server, Samantha, was helpful and efficient. She took our orders and the food came out fast. We will probably stick with the location in Orange Beach, but this place is pretty good.

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

It's the food folks go there for. The oysters were fresh and served in a simple appealing way. The fish was white and firm and delicious. The grilled shrimp they are famous for do not have a savory flavor, tastes more like they were grilled with honey on them. We were not expecting that at all. We did not like the 30 dollars worth of sweet shrimp. It does come in very generous portion if you like that type of flavor. Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. Overall they are friendly, the service is personable and efficient! Ambiance is that of a local diner style, not fancy just comfortable. We liked everything but the sweet grilled shrimp. We are from the north and maybe it is just a southern style we aren't familiar with or used to consuming. The gumbo is pretty good too. They have great mixed drinks and they have one that is a salted caramel flavor that is really excellent. Overall: would highly recommend for a good meal and friendly service. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew went for the Quesabirrias, and many other dishes just look at the pictures.. but guess what? Not a single complaint. We love the service and of course the food is so awesome. The friendly weight staff comes around throughout your entire dining experience and provides so many awesome sides in addition to your dinner selections. The staff comes around and brings fried okra, smothered potatoes, and various other delicious southern side dishes. The food is so delicious and definitely remind you of HOME and the variety of menu items are perfect and so so so yummy. The 32 ounce mugs with your drink of choice is hilariously, huge and so generous... we also learned on this trip that you could purchase one of those jugs to go. The ambience is cool. It kinda reminds you of an old country restaurant with wooden benches and historical items, pictures, and memorabilia all throughout the entire restaurant. The biggest part and honestly a fun part for families is this is also the place that's coined "Throw em rolls" where they throw huge hat and fresh dinner rolls to your table so at any time you can see flying rolls throughout the dining room rooms. It's so much fun. I would definitely add this to your list if you are in the area to check out. The food, the service is really great and just a very simple, casual dining experience.

The rolls come out fresh and hot, and they're really good! They also come around throughout the meal with different "pass-arounds" that they serve right at your table. I tried the fried okra and really enjoyed it. There were several other options being passed around as well, so you definitely won't leave hungry. For my meal, I had the chicken wings and was very pleased. Other family members tried the country-fried steak and shrimp, and everyone seemed happy with their food. The portions are generous, and even the drink cups are GINORMOUS! Service was good and timely, especially considering how busy and lively the restaurant was. It's very family and kid friendly, and you can tell Lambert's has been around for a long time and has become an experience in itself. My biggest recommendation: make a reservation, especially if you're coming with a large group. Without one, you could easily be looking at a 45-minute wait or longer. Overall, I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to experience Lambert's. Good food, good service, a fun atmosphere, and catching a hot roll flying across the restaurant makes for a pretty memorable meal! Definitely worth experiencing at least once.
