Ordered breakfast for five by phone on Sunday, September 27th at 8:27 am, prepaid with tip, and arranged a pickup time of 9:00 am. When we arrived to pick up the order, there was one other person in line for pickup. He was provided his order within five minutes. We were kept waiting until 9:30 am. When I complained to the person who brought out the order, she said she apologized, said the kitchen was busy (there were a number of people who arrived for dine-in service during the time we waited for our order) and thought a refund was in order. She then returned to the kitchen. A more senior person then came out, also apologized, and took my name and phone number. She said they would be in contact. I called the Dockside Kitchen and left voicemail messages three times in the next week. They never returned my calls. Needless to say, we did not receive a refund of any amount. We will make it a point to never return to this restaurant for breakfast. Unfortunately, I cannot say the management values its customers. read more

Excellent all around! The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all class A. The menu is a bit costly compared to other breakfast joints in OC but I believe the quality is a bit higher so I am okay with it. If your a cheap ass- go elsewhere. We had never been there before, when our pager rang they were going to put us "at the bar" I pointed to my father who is wheelchair bound and they told us we would have to wait longer for a table. (This is fine but people should be given the choice because I wouldn't want to sit at the bar anyway). The waitress was super sweet she took our order, read our order back to us and the kitchen screwed up 4 of the 5 meals. Regular omelette instead of egg whites, no condiments with the burger, potatoes on the side of an order that didn't want them, bagel instead of brioche roll, etc. My nephews scrambled eggs were in a puddle of grease. The condiments and roll literally took 10 - 15 minutes to get, by this time my burger was cold and my friend ate the interior of the sandwich. The fries were great. We won't be back because there are too many great places for breakfast, which is the easiest meal to prepare BTW, that get the order right and are not as expensive. read more

Delicious food with a fantastic view! A nice breeze rolled in that is complemented nicely with a ceiling fan! I had the sausage and pepper omelet with yummy berries as a side. My father had enormous and delicious pancakes and my mother had the eggs benedict with home fries. We were all thrilled with our meals. Just left this waste of time so called restaurant. Checked in at 10:30 am and was told a 45 min wait. After 45 min I was then told they did not say 45 min but one hour, first lie. After the hour them then told us 15-20 min longer, lie #2. After waiting 1:15 mins we still were not seated. 1:15 mins for a party of 6 with a 3 year old and a 7 year old. Wasted our while morning. Great breakfast on the water. Had the Nutella French toast, bagel sandwich, braised beef toast, and avocado BLT. BLT was great. The pulled pork with bacon jam "toast" was deconstructed, which was unexpected. The poached egg was hard cooked, probably from sitting under the heat lamp. I never knew this existed till very recently. Went on a weekday morning because I'm told the lines are long on weekends. Server was very personable and gave us time to look over menu. Lots to choose for breakfast or lunch. The lobster mac and cheese is a side dish but skip it. Tiny shredded pieces of lobster (?) and overly salty thin cheese sauce is really bad. I stumbled upon this place while scrolling through instagram. A donut/icecream shop in OCNJ i follow, Drip & Scoop, had posted about this newly opened brunch spot on the bay. I'm a sucker for eating outside with a view for any meal- breakfast, lunch or dinner- so i couldn't resist trying this place out. My husband and I came last Saturday, unfortunately on one of the chillier mornings at the shore this season. We both agreed, that this is the only thing we didn't enjoy, the fact that it was cold. Other than that, the breakfast was definitely worth all 5 stars. I got the blueberry pancakes and he got the smoked salmon eggs benedict. The pancakes were very tasty, a good size/portion for the price and even came with a side of fresh fruit. They were also piping hot despite it being very windy. My husband loved his breakfast and kept saying how rich and decadent the eggs/salmon were. I'm not a fan of salmon or eggs benedict so i opted not to try his. But, it looked good! The waitresses also kept refilling our coffees, a really nice touch. I will say it was a tad on the expensive side for breakfast, but as it is a new spot and the only spot on the water in ocnj, we didn't mind paying a little extra. Good food and a good view. We decided to give it a try and as expected it was good. Server was excellent and friendly. All the seating is outside which is nice and it's a nice view of the bay. We had the tacos and a turkey wrap for the boys. They thoroughly enjoyed it. One comment was it was so big. Ok. 13 year old boy said there may have been too much turkey. That's an odd one. Wife and I had eggs Benedict. The lobster was excellent and so was the short rib. One critique was the English muffin needs to be toasted longer and they both need a little more hollandaise in them. We didn't ask for more, but we feel they should have more. The rosemary on the fries and potatoes is a nice touch of flavor. We will return. Definitely a good value for good food. read more

This place having four stars throws my entire trust in Ocean City Yelp into question. I had one of the worst meals in recent memory here. I will say that it does have an amazing view, and for some reason, no one mentions that it is the ONLY BYOB place in Ocean City. It is a "private club" and you pay $15 for 90 minutes at a table, and this earns you the ability to bring your own booze. Unfortunately, it doesn't say this anywhere on their website, so we just paid $15 to have a terrible meal. But the view and BYOB bring it to 2 stars. First, we ordered the crab and artichoke dip. Even the worst crab/ spin dip type appetizer is usually edible, and often pretty good. This was literally inedible. We barely touched it, and it looked like the table next to us had the same experience. It was like boiled cream with a few artichoke leaves mixed it. Unbelievably bland. The waitress didn't blink an eye and just asked if we wanted to box it (spoiler alert, we said no). Next, the entrees, I ordered the crabby chicken, which is supposed to come with crab, kalamata olives, prosciutto, tomatoes, and maybe one or two other things. It was missing the olives, the prosciutto, and any flavor. I told the waitress about the missing ingredients, and she offered to take off 30% from the entree. My face may have given away that was a terrible offer, as she said, or I guess we can remake it. I declined. I will say, my wife's lobster roll was good, but it was $25, so I would hope it was at least decent lobster. All in all, this place probably survives because it is BYOB in a dry town, and other reviewers seem to like the brunch. Unless you reeeaaalllyyy need to drink in a restaurant while you are in OCNJ, I would stay far, far away from Dockside Kitchen. And Yelp, PLLEEEAAASSEEE bring down this review so others are not falsely lured here for an awful and expensive meal. read more

Staff was friendly but inattentive, once food was put down we were not revisited until the check arrived so drinks were not refilled nor could we ask for the incomplete item to be fixed.
