So we called the Navy Lodge central booking, and reported this poor customer service and unprofessional staff member. We were booked a room and our credit card was charged $107 June 16, 2026, but no room was available. So we ended up going to the Navy Inn instead, which had much better customer service. Monday June 15, 2026 evening shift. Names of employees noted with a pic on reviews on social media. The pics on my phone are time and date stamped proving I was at this lodge. I called and spoke to Sarah June 17, 2026, my CC was charged $107. She stated we were a no show that night which is a lie. He stated in front of me and spouse no rooms are available, even though customer service stated that 3 rooms are available. Karll is a liar and a unprofessional individual. How and why would you have anyone working at your Lodge with this kind of attittude, not good at all. This is CC fraud, I will be reporting this to my CC company if this isn't reversed. There were mysterious red stains on the couch. No bed bugs though! Breakfast was underwhelming. The apple juice was very watery. The food was generally pretty bland. Eggs rubbery, sausage was unflavorful. The boiled oatmeal was literally mush. Bagels were ok. Also, the chair cushions in the lobby were chipped/cracked and peeling. Table was wobbly. The location is in a random spot in a sketchy neighborhood. Parking is ok. Basically, I agree with the other reviewers that this place is definitely dated and janky af lol. I was disappointed because I thought Marriott had a certain level of standards. If you stay for one night here as a last resort, it's fine but I'd go somewhere else if you intend to stay a bit longer.

Our room was exceptionally clean and during our stay we enjoyed meeting two of the housekeepers, Induli and Aggie. The Inn was very quiet which was achieved with a lot of hard work and ingenuity when Marianne took over as proprietor and renovated it. Even on weekends when it was full it was quiet. It operates with the relational connection of a mom and Pop hotel. From the moment you walk in you know that this is more than a corporate setting. And when there is a need, they scramble to meet it as quickly as possible. The managers, the executive staff are all walking around the hotel the whole time. So it becomes very affordable, especially breakfast during the week. On a recent trip, my wife had to be hospitalized. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and give us information since we were not from Connecticut. They constantly were checking in to make sure everything was OK. Maybe the problem lies in their definition of a "walk" and mine. I asked that the daily 30 minute activity be a walk, which they charge $25.00 for. If my dog doesn't have at least one "walk" per day, his digestive system shuts down. I walk him 3 miles per day to keep him regular, but expected at least one walk, on leash, to minimize the affects on him. I also expected a stress response but when they sent me a picture of him on day 2, I knew he was in trouble. Joe, the GM, called me after I sent an email discussing my disappointment and we had a productive conversation, and I had decided not to do this review. But then Robin, the owner called, to justify that they did nothing wrong and actually tried to blame it on my dog. That changed it for me. I'm sure if you have a dog with no special needs that they are fine, but beware if you have a dog that isn't normal. Make sure you talk to Joe so he understands what you expect from the visit and you may have a better outcome than mine.

Our room was gorgeous (king bed) the bathroom was super clean and the shower had beautiful glass door and shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers on the wall. Bed was super comfy but I did smash my shin on the bed frame as it stuck out further than the mattress. The floors had tile NOT grungy carpeting. my only complaint is the tv had a volume lock which made watching tv in bed hard to hear. Overall I'd 100% visit again!
