A very classic dinner. Simple seating, order at the window, and eat. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, the cashier was very sweet and helpful. The pastrami sandwich was big, enough to satisfy any hungry man up to 250lbs. Topped with pickle and hot peppers. Tasted amazing. The fries are good, but not greasy enough, not crunchy enough. Overall a great place for a quick bite.

The food was tasty but the restaurant was pretty run down. Floor was sticky. But the service was great and food was good too. If you're looking for a hole in the wall, this is the place!

Doc's... is BACK!!! So damn happy to be saying that! This is the Docs that I remember from way back when. To fill you in if you haven't read my earlier review, I was worried about Doc's. They weren't giving the same quality of food that they're known for. I stayed away for quite some time, but the other day. I finally came back for another go. I'm glad I did. Was craving a really good mom and pop burger. But if it didn't pan out, their was always a local chain spot. I got to Doc's and started to browse the menu again. The nice thing about Doc's is that they cater to everyone. Reading this menu for the millionth time can feel like reading it for the first all over again. Saw they had a Bacon Ortega Cheeseburger; Sold! "Is it in a combo?", yes it is; I'll take it! Got a Diet Pepsi, fries for my side and an Oreo Swirley for dessert. Burger was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned, juicy and the cheese was melted just right. The seasoning on the fries were just as amazing as the burger seasoning. Crispy, golden brown fries that had just the right amount of saltiness and complimented the burger and the Swirley oh so well! The Swirley is basically a shake and a McFlurry as one. You get a huge boba straw with your Swirley and you're going to need it! Plus you might as well make sure you've got a spoon nearby. Towards the bottom is all the good stuff! Mine had Oreo cookie pieces and soft serve all blended and thick at the bottom; Delicious! I'm so Happy Doc's is Back! Will definitely be coming back for another round of Amazing Deliciousness!

Best Pastrami sandwich that I've had here in Visalia, hands down. There is not a lot of fat on the meat, and a good-sized sandwich topped with pickles & peppers. The fries were just as good, cooked to the perfect crispness. They were fairly busy, but it didn't take long for my order to come up, and the staff were all super friendly. The dining area was also very clean.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and grabbed seats at the bar. Sam was our server and was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. The food absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Taco Salad, and it was enormous! The tortilla shell was so crispy and well-made that it actually held up for leftovers the next day. The jalapeño ranch had the perfect amount of heat and flavor. We also tried the Drunken Chicken Sandwich. Sam recommended getting it breaded, and I'm glad we listened. The homemade breadcrumb coating was light, crispy, and flavorful without being overly thick or salty. For appetizers, we shared the Fried Pork Belly Bites, which were paired with a delicious coleslaw and a sweet Korean-style BBQ sauce, and the Deviled Eggs, which were AMAZING. They came prepared three different ways, making it fun to try each variation. Honestly, I couldn't pick a favorite. Their beer selection was impressive, and I was especially excited to find Crow & Wolf's Dark Wolf Seltzer on tap, one of my favorites and not something you see everywhere. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of character. Even the ladies' restroom had quirky, fun artwork that added a unique touch to the atmosphere. The size and amount of tv's was impressive. If you're looking for a relaxed vibe, great drinks, exceptional service, and food that delivers, I highly recommend checking this place out. We'll definitely be back.

My husband had the hot honey flatbread and he enjoyed it a lot as well. Overall a decent but average meal.

I ordered the French Dip, which should be a slam dunk for a pub-style spot, but it lacked the basic execution that makes that sandwich great. The Main Event: French Dip * The Bread: This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn't toasted, grilled, or even brushed with a little butter. It felt like an afterthought, leaving the texture of the sandwich completely uninspired. * The Meat: The tri-tip was sliced thin and seemed okay, though it had that "pre-cooked this morning" vibe rather than being fresh off the block. * The Au Jus: A French Dip lives and dies by the dip. Unfortunately, this was essentially bland beef broth--watery and lacking any deep, salty, or beefy complexity. The Silver Lining The meal wasn't a total wash, thanks to the sides. The fries arrived piping hot, crispy, and seasoned well. Paired with a side of their ranch, they were easily the best part of the plate. Final Verdict: If you're going for the atmosphere and a cold beer, it's a win. But if you're craving a high-quality sandwich, you might want to look elsewhere until they step up their bread game.

She shrimp taco was on the pricier side as well as the ribeye taco. BUT it was authentic and so much flavor. The ribeye was cooked just right! So tender along with the homemade tortillas, such a skill. The sauces were just the final toping that it needed. The food here tastes so authentic and special. The ambiance was good, there was plenty of seating and they did have a bathroom. Which is such a lifesaver if you go with kids. Our bill did come out to a bit over $100, considering we also got a Jarritos, a Coca Cola bottle and a regular drink. However it was worth it.! Specially when you still have food to take home for dinner. We did get lucky with parking and we were able to get a spot right out front, however if you go on a busy day, it'll be quite the walk. It was surprisingly delicious. The Betsy Ross was solid and classic, with Thousand Island sauce--tasty, though nothing particularly standout. The Calamity Jane was the clear winner for me; the combination of sautéed onions, barbecue sauce, and mushrooms was absolutely spot-on. We also upgraded our side to clam chowder. It had great flavor, though it was a bit thicker than I prefer--not a dealbreaker by any means. Service really made the experience shine. Paula was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and quick to check in on us and keep everything running smoothly. Overall, this is a great spot for lunch with friends or coworkers.
