My injector was was also just weird. Made me uncomfortable and kept trying to sell me other procedures and I had to repeat myself maybe 5 times explaining all I wanted was Botox, but she just wasn't getting it and I was getting really frustrated. When I was checking out they told me I needed to schedule a three week follow up. I told them that was unnecessary, I would call with any concerns. They were pushy and wouldn't let me leave until I scheduled. When I kept insisting I didn't want the appointment the owner even made a snarky remark "have you even ever had Botox?"..... They ended up making the appointment and I canceled over text.... They then immediately asked me when I wanted to come back for my Botox. Never said I wanted to..... 24 hours before my canceled apt I got a text telling me to confirm and saying I would be charged if I didn't show up.... Thought I had cancelled? Easy visit. I genuinely liked him and look forward to the followup. The reception staff were really shockingly rude. On the phone before the visit, the person who answered (eastern European accent) rudely hurried me off the phone. I had a funny feeling that things were not set up properly, so I called again the next week. A different person answered. It turns out that I *did* need a referral; my insurance would NOT have covered without it. Good thing there was still time for me to get one. When I arrived I waited in line for my turn. I walked to the window. Before I could say a word, the lady behind the window snapped "It'll be a few minutes," without even looking up. Later on, when I handed her my papers, she stared right into my eyes, motionless. I waited, confused, not sure what I was supposed to do. She kept staring, then suddenly barked "ALL SET," I jumped. (I believe this was the same woman as on the phone, same accent.) What an awful person. I almost walked out the door, before I had even gotten to see the doctor. The actual patient care was a good experience, so I'm glad I stuck it out! Still, the staff could have cost me money in bills and they were really unhelpful. I wish I could tunnel into the exam room and bypass the trolls at the front desk.

As a first-time Accutane patient, I often felt like it was assumed I already knew how everything worked, and when I didn't, there was very little guidance. The scheduling department was also very rude at times. After hours of trying to get in touch with someone, I was told I couldn't be seen until August and was made to feel like the situation was entirely on me. Only after finally speaking with a nurse was I able to get the help I needed. At my fifth appointment, I was suddenly told my insurance didn't cover out-of-state visits, despite having already been seen there multiple times without anyone ever mentioning this. Had I known that from the beginning, I could have planned accordingly. I take responsibility for anything I may have misunderstood or missed, but I wish the office would also acknowledge that better communication could have prevented a lot of this. I'm only staying to finish my Accutane course, but overall this experience has been emotionally exhausting. Anyone who has struggled with acne knows how difficult that journey can be, and I wish I had felt more supported throughout the process.

I commuted from out of state to show up at the earliest time I could make it given the Boston protests happening that day. But, when I showed up late to my appointment, they didn't take me in and barely talked to me, which I understood. But also, they denied me a reschedule and I lost the money I've put in with Groupon ($130 if you must know). They do have a way to ruin your day for sure. I was asked to "pay again" to book a reschedule. Please beware before booking. Definitely "not relaxing" experience.
