We went there for a lunch during a weekday. This was our last day at Rome. We were very impressed with the quality of foods there. Price is very reasonable. Food is authentic. We wanted to avoid tourist trap during our visit and this is one of the local (not tourist traps) restaurants we tried in Rome. We loved it. No cover charge and no tips automatically added to the bill here. Service is A+. We love it! Nothing short of 5 stars.

The food, service, atmosphere, and prices all good! I had the lasagna, tiramisu, bruschetta, and chanti wine. My husband had the truffle ravioli. Everything was great. We sat outside and it was so relaxing. We definitely recommend this place!

We got the special and it was such a deal!! An individual appetizer, meal, drink and dessert!! Everything was amazing but the dessert.. I was so full I could have taken or left it. Overall amazing deal and great food! The lasagna was awesome and so was the bruschetta!!

    We're a bit early, but it's quaint...

We discovered this restaurant walking back to our hotel from the Collesium & saw good reviews on Yelp, so thought we'd give it a try. It's quaint & the (I presume) owner was friendly & accommodating, and it would be difficult to beat their prices for the same meal. We shared an order of bruschetta, a pasta course, & then each had a 2nd course, plus two 1/2 bottles of decent wine - all for €57!! While we've no particular criticism, there was nothing special about the food - everything we had was good, but not enough to warrant a return visit. We had found other restaurants in Rome & in this area which clearly invited a return visit. If you're in this area (10 minutes from Piazza Della Repubblica) and hungry, it's not a bad choice, just know there may be other, better ones nearby.

I had the raviolis and my husband had the carbonara, this was one of the best and cheapest meals we had in Rome.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

Revisited after 19 years - truly authentic and will return…read more Although, we didn't have the same waiter, he is still there after 29 + years. Every dish we ordered was delicious, not a crumb remained on the plate!
