We had a family style steak meal. Some of the group liked the tamales - just make sure you don't eat the paper. The porterhouse was much better than the ribeye which was pretty tough even though we asked for medium. The fries were really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the bread. The potatoes and green beans were kind of bland. The server was super nice, but didn't ask all of us if we wanted drinks so only the guys got alcohol. They also automatically added quite a sizable gratuity for 5 people.

Great food, service and ambiance. I love the building! Streaks are to die for and so are the fixings!

Had a great evening at Doe's catching up with a good friend. While there the food was excellent, steaks were perfect, the service was great very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is very cool, old school look and feel.

As I mentioned earlier it feels like an upscale pub when you walk in, but this is also a historic building. Tusk & Trotter sits where Sam Walton's original general office and warehouse was located. We sat in the bar area as we also stopped by the restaurant during happy hour. For food we started with the Arkansas Fritters (Ralston Family Farms rice with ground beef, house-made sausage, parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, dill & lemon chipotle remoulade & chow chow) which were packed with so much flavor. For our entrees we ordered where the Buffalo roam (Sayersbrook Bison Ranch patty, brioche bun, cheddar, swiss, bacon, chipotle aioli, over easy egg & LTOP) which is definitely the highlight with a side of fries. The burger fell apart and you could tell it was extremely fresh. If you are in Bentonville, this is a must try!

Upon me ordering my second drink, the waitress had the audacity to ask if I was driving. I am a geriatric woman on vacation. I will have two adult beverages if I so please. The entrance is a bit hidden, as you'll need to walk up a set of stairs to reach the entrance. When you arrive you'll check in with the host before being seated. While there were a few open tables, we were seated tightly in between two groups despite the restaurant being partially full, which definitely took away from the experience. The environment is one of the restaurant's highlights. It is housed in a beautiful restored church. For drinks I ordered the Blood Orange Buck (bourbon, spiced maple, blood orange cider, mint, citrus) which was a well balanced and a fun take on an old fashioned. To start we shared the Burrata (grilled flatbread, green goddess, roasted garlic). While the flavors were good, the portion was surprisingly small and felt underwhelming for the price. For my entree, I ordered a pasta carbonara dish which had good flavor but again the portion size was small like the appetizer. Overall, the quality of food and presentation were strong, and the setting is worth seeing (would lean more towards drinks). However, between the small portions and the seating arrangement, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. While I'm glad I tried it, I don't see myself returning.

The restaurant is tried and true, understated elegance , attentive service. All those things are still true. My husband ordered the wagu special. The meat was very very tender. A very generous portion came and they were fine. Not amazing, but fine. Our waiter treated us to a lovely strawberry cheesecake and we really liked it. It was light and flavorful. A nice end to a heavier meal. We like River Grille. We truly do. But there was something that didn't resonate as in the past. Maybe the addition of so many other restaurants in the area that also offer wonderful food has shadowed the specialness of this place. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. Right away, the noise level inside was overwhelming. With virtually no sound-dampening materials anywhere in the dining room, conversation was difficult. I would recommend requesting one of the round booths, as they may help somewhat, but don't expect a dramatic improvement. Despite sitting only a couple of feet apart, our table struggled to hear one another. Sitting outside (when possible) is your best bet. The larger issue began after our party of four placed our orders. For reasons I still can't understand, three meals were partially delivered while the fourth guest's food was nowhere to be seen. Twenty minutes later, it still hadn't arrived. This pattern of long delays and poor service coordination continued throughout the meal. In total, nearly an hour passed--57 minutes, to be exact--between the first meals arriving and the final plates being served. Failing to serve an entire table at roughly the same time creates the impression of a poorly managed operation. While our server was pleasant and did her best, the rest of the staff appeared undertrained and unprepared. At one point, after clearing a guest's finished plate, staff placed the used utensils directly on the table rather than removing them. That's simply not acceptable. Ultimately, the problems we experienced seemed less related to food quality and more related to training, communication, and overall execution. To the restaurant's credit, the manager recognized that our experience fell well below expectations and graciously comped our table. As first-time visitors, that gesture was appreciated. Unfortunately, I had specifically chosen this restaurant as a surprise brunch destination for my father's 75th birthday, and the celebration did not go as planned.

The wait for appetizers was short, but beverage service lagged well behind appetizers. We ordered our entrees and sides...and then WAITED. From the time we sat down till entrees came out, it was 1.25 hrs!! The restaurant was not busy. Then when we cut into our 6 steaks (not at the server's request, which is often customary at steak houses where we come from (Dallas) 5 of the 6 of our steaks were prepared incorrectly. All were over cooked - whether ordered medium rare or medium rare- all were done well past the requested level. Our waitress promptly and rightfully suggested we send them back. Which we did. Two minutes later, an obviously inexperienced manager shows up and rudely tells us it's "the lighting due to dining outside" that makes us THINK our steaks are overcooked. "Things can look more gray in natural light", he said. Really!?!? We said "excuse us...but no. These were prepared incorrectly." So he VERY reluctantly ordered 5 fresh steaks When those 5 came out, two that were ordered medium were very rare. And had to be returned AGAIN! They comp'ed us dessert as if that was going to make up for the abysmal service. NOT RETURNING - NOT RECOMMENDING.
