I've been eating at Spitz since the early days when they only had one location in Eagle Rock. Spitz is by far one if my favorite spots in LA for great Mediterranean Fusion food! I recommend the Street Cart Doner or Berlin era (with mixed meat) and, of course, the Street Cart Fires! Well balanced, season perfectly, harmonious textures, overall a great meal! The Studio City location has a great vibe! To all of you who love punk aesthetics, a touch of street style, and natural wood, this is the spot for you! Haven't been here in like 5 years, but passing by this place brought some good memories, so I decided to come in for a quick bite. I ordered their bestselling Street Cart Wrap with beef and lamb for my protein . The wrap was of a very good size, filled with cooked beef and lamb, veggies, tzatziki sauce, garlic aioli and their fried lavash strips. The crunchy lavash strips gave the wrap that solid crunch and balanced out the tender meat and veggies texture. Altogether, it created a perfect bite with plethora of flavors from the veggies, the sauces and the yummy meat itself. Great wrap and definitely is worth a try! The spot itself has inside seating as well as 2 nice-looking outdoor dine-in patios. The customer service was very good, as the helpful worker helped take my order at the counter and brought the food to my table. A very good experience overall and I will be coming back! read more

I've eaten at the Eagle Rock restaurant and the one downtown (LA), this place is Great! The place is packed. Now I came in on a Sunday , about 5 after a Dodgers Day game and it Hit the Spot. Had the Gyro with mixed meat and Sweet Potato fries plus an Arnold Palmer. Had I not had a few libations at the game I would have ordered from the beer menu. Nonetheless this place is perfect for after a game or getting together with friends. It's fun and lively with a lot of ambiance. Friends introduced me to Spitz years ago and I must say I absolutely love this establishment and should come here more often. I always order the lamb wrap which is enough to have half cold as leftovers--but you may eat the whole thing because it's just so delicious. My dog gets the lamb as a special meal and he absolutely devours it. The sides are delicious too--I get the sweet potato waffle fries. The lemonade is delicious and the cider on tap is just delightful. I love the Hollywood references inside on the painted walls of the dining area. The tables are generously sized. The patio is also darling, with string lights. Don't sleep on Spitz! read more

I've been a fan of Spitz for years. In fact, I started writing this review a couple of years ago and never finished it: I live for the doner chicken salad, and the fried chickpeas are fantastic. It's a cute spot and a great place to grab a quick bite and drink after a hike at Fryman Canyon. Unfortunately, my experience with their manager (or owner, not sure he even knew his own role) today left me unlikely to return despite loving their food. I placed a delivery order last night directly through Spitz's website at 8:50 PM. The restaurant's listed hours indicated they were open until 10:00 PM, and my order confirmation estimated delivery in about 35 minutes. By 9:35 PM, when the order hadn't arrived, I called to check on it. The call went directly to a voicemail message stating the restaurant was closed. I called again and received the same message. At that point, with no way to reach the restaurant and no delivery service to contact since I had ordered directly, I reasonably assumed something had gone wrong with my order. Needing dinner, I placed an Uber Eats order from a nearby sandwich shop, which arrived before my Spitz order. My Spitz order eventually arrived at 9:55 PM. Since I had already eaten, I wasn't able to enjoy it, and the wrap was unfortunately soggy by this afternoon. Today, I called and politely explained the situation, hoping to receive a refund for the meal I never ended up eating. Instead of addressing my concerns, the manager focused on explaining that they were open until 10:00 PM and that they had likely been busy. While I understand delays happen, my main concern was that the restaurant's voicemail was telling customers it was closed while orders were still being processed and delivered with no way to communicate with issues. What was most disappointing was the lack of accountability and customer service. Rather than offering a straightforward solution, I was directed to handle the issue through the website. I was ultimately offered a complimentary meal in Studio City, but after the interaction with the incredibly rude and confrontational manager/owner, I don't feel particularly eager to return. I still think the food is great, which makes this experience even more frustrating. Delays happen, and mistakes happen. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, the combination of rude customer service, an inaccurate voicemail message, and an unhelpful response from the owner/manager after being a customer for years has left me with a very different impression of a restaurant I had previously enjoyed and recommended. Hope no one else is on the receiving end of that man's temper, especially his employees who have to deal with that behavior daily. read more

The saddest Gyro I have ever seen in my life. Classic Gyro + double meet + 15% tip = $21.21!!! For a bunch of meet and lettuce dipped in sauce and wrapped in a pita bread. I couldn't find any onion, tomatoes or olives in there. Good thing I doubled the meat otherwise there would have been almost nothing to eat in there. I should have taken a picture of this disaster. Do not get delivery from SPITZ!!!cause you can't get them to fix the problems! Brown/old lettuce in the salad. Almost no feta in the Greek salad. Top notch (delicious AND fresh) food, super friendly service from today's bartender/beertender/waitress (I wish I got her name! So sweet and cool.) and really cool ambiance. The music was excellent too! I should add the menu is extensive! This isn't your run of the mill 4 or 5 option Mediterranean restaurant. TONS of vegan and vegetarian options. I forgot the name but I ordered what was essentially the 'sampler' and it has sweet potatoe fries, crisp salad, hummus, falafel that was actually cooked right (!) and delicious, roasted garbanzo bean (so good) and incredible lamb. The beer selection is awesome too. They also have two kinds of fresh sangria to choose from. Just an overall rad spot! 10/10 read more

Didn't catch her name but she made the first time experience great. She had some good recommendations for food. I got Berliner Wrap and my husband got the Street Cart wrap with the three meats. We also tried the drinks on draft, glasses were cold and the beer and cider was cold as well. The sauces... recommend the zhoug and the tzatziki sauce, but you can try all the sauces if you're into that. Haha. The wraps are light but filling, great flavor, and most of all delicious. The colorful art, decor, and string lights created an inviting setting, with both indoor and outdoor tables available.
