This particular location is stellar. Consistently terrific food prep, a wonderful team, and free, easy parking. Let's start with the salsa bar -- AWESOME selection and all are delicious. My favorites are the KILLER HOT and the SHARKY'S salsas. Their AVOCADO salsa is also very tasty. GO-TO FAVES include the Grilled Fish Taco on a corn tortilla. Seasoned and grilled to perfection on a regular basis. I get mine with no Pico de Gallo as I like to layer on some very hot salsa instead (KILLER HOT) and I get it without the cheese to keep it lower in fat and calories. NEVER disappoints. Their Nachos are a treat when I'm breaking my diet. :) Shrimp Tacos are really good as are the protein plates which can be customized and are a very healthy, well-prepared meal every time. You order at the counter -- and a nice touch is they ask if you want chips while you wait. Their water is also a nice touch -- it's got lemon, cucumber, etc. in the water which gives it a refreshing spa-like feel. They also have really good iced tea. You grab your own beverages and I highly recommend both the water (free!!) and the iced tea. The staff here is wonderful -- an active management team that works the floor, checks in on guests, and generally just makes everyone feel welcome, along with the hard-working kitchen team and the young team that takes the orders and puts together the take-away options. They are a smooth-running, very friendly and kind operation there. I love Sharky's. I grew up in this area and remember when it was Twain's. I went there in a date and the food and service were amazing. The portions were huge. I did not even finish mine and asked for it to be taken to go. I'm always afraid to order shrimp because it's a favorite of mine and when it is over cooked it's so disappointing. Fortunately I did not have to worry about that with Sharky's. The shrimp had the perfect snap that you expect when shrimp is cooked to perfection. The decor is what you would expect at a fast dining establishment. Nothing fancy. This location is super nice! It had been a while since I've visited a Sharkeez and this was a great introduction back. Menu is pretty much as I remember it, with lots of healthy options! The food was surprisingly good! I'm also a huge fan of their salsa bar. I got to start a salad and it was huge! Filling, and tasted super fresh lots of comfortable, indoor seating, and it can get a little busy around lunchtime, customer service was great and food came out relatively fast. We took our son here for lunch as this is where he wanted to eat. Denise was very friendly when taking our order as we needed things like no dairy on one of the meals. I had a very disappointing experience at Sharky's, 4/7/2026 mainly because of a worker named Rossia. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I witnessed her repeatedly yelling at customers who were simply trying to pick up their orders, which created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. Customer service should be a priority, but this was the complete opposite. No one should feel disrespected or spoken to like that when they're just trying to grab their food. Because of this experience, I will no longer be spending my money at Sharky's. Management seriously needs to address this kind of behavior. This is the third time I have witnessed her yelling at someone. Absolutely horrible behavior. As I was going outside another lady said she was going to leave a bad review about her actions. Even though they weren't officially open yet, Carlo went above and beyond to take care of us. Sharkys is pretty alright. Not totally in love with it but I don't hate it. I see it as a place that I'd go to for pure accessibility and affordablility. You get a pretty big meal for the price so value is great. Flavor wise, it's nothing special. Pretty standard Americanized "Mexican" food. No hate but not really for me. The breakfast burritos are pretty good and SUPER filling. I honestly like that I can order it and then be full for the rest of the day. The salsa bar is the saving grace for this place. It's absolutely legendary - and if I could give them 5/4 stars just for the service alone, I would. I must have been to this Sharky's at least 100 times by now - it's our family's #1 go-to spot in the neighborhood. From weekend breakfast to lunch & dinner, I've tried most items on the menu but here's what you've gotta do: (1) slow-roasted pork. Whether in your Fiesta Burrito or your Power Plate, the pork is the best-kept secret on the menu. (2) for my health-freak friends, my go-to is the half power plate (which ends up being 2 meals for me) with the quinoa+veggies & roasted veggies (3) the pico de gallo - whether with your side of chips or on top of your nachos, this pico is the bomb (4) nachos - seriously the half serving feeds 2 people easily (5) always get the chips in the side. If you're not eating alone, get chips for 2! (6) the horchata - comes with refills! (7) the happy hour is insane - come watch the game with some great-price drafts! There are so many other awesome options on the menu with great, fresh-quality ingredients served up by a staff who are all awesome - breakfast (the plates, the burrito, the chilaquiles, the groundwork coffee) is awesome & always in massive portions. I ended up cutting it in half, and I was astonished how much avocado was in this burrito. Old me would have devoured this. I couldn't eat it, this would have killed me for how much was in there. Damn allergies. Long story short they made me an entirely new burrito, so delicious. They let me take the other one home to my brother as I explained I didn't want them to throw it away. First off when you walk in the place I noticed right away the restaurant is very clean !! I made sure to do a walk around before I order, including the restroom. This place ( Sharky's Woodfire, Mexican Grill in Studio City ) I am truly happy to say is is one of those few restaurant locations that shows pride in its establishment when it comes to the cleanliness and maintenance. The customer service when I walked up to place my order is outstanding, you're greeted with a truly organic and warm smile, they do not make you feel rushed while you're ordering and you receive a very friendly greeting of hello. That is an excellent way to start a first time experience in the restaurant. I ordered the taquito platter, everything ( The rice, the guacamole, the diced tomatoes with onions, the sour cream looked fresh ), presentation was visually very well organized, and delicious looking. The taquitos were so beautifully crispy and very flavorful!! I highly recommend bringing your friends and your family to Sharkey's Woodfire, Mexican Grill , delicious food, clean and organized environment. I saw people bringing their kids in so great family vibe, and I just had a really enjoyable meal and felt a very relaxed positive upbeat vibe to this establishment. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Growing up in the Valley, I've seen many restaurants come and go, so it's especially heartwarming to see Sharky's pay tribute to Twain's, the longtime Ventura Blvd favorite. This location is easy to locate, large parking lot and the building has writing on the outside, and cactus lining the walk way. I love the touch of green! Walked in and ordered my meal, and it was ready within 10 minutes! I ordered the taquitos, which were phenomenal, perfect crunch and meaty filling. It was accompanied by guacamole and it really hit the spot. For my main dish I had the protein bowl with chicken , it was great nutrition wise, could have used a little more flavor. Luckily they have the best salsa bar and I just threw on some salsas to spice it up! My bf had a burrito- he wanted just a chicken burrito with mixed beans but he got a mixed meat burrito with black beans- he said it was still good. We haven't had the best luck with ordering here (they do mess up here and there) but their quality of food is better than other locations. Love that everything is fresh and organic! We took our food to go, but there is nice booths inside and cute tables on the patio to sit outside. The workers are friendly and happy to direct you towards the specials and their favorites.
