Crème Brûlée Japanese Pancake with Ube Ice cream
    Cindy R.

This is literally a hidden gem. Price is decent for the quality and taste of the desserts we ordered. Not disappointed at all. The Japanese pancake takes a little longer to make but I can taste the freshness of it and i wouldn't mind the wait to get a good product. The Taiyaki waffle was pretty good but could be freshly made and that would make the difference. Ube icecream was very creamy and hit the spot. Ube drink needed more sweetness to enjoy it more. Bunny pane cotta was delicious! Passion fruit crepe was great as well Overall... highly recommended and I am definitely coming back. I am including some pictures of my order.

I am so excited to finally have Doki Doki in Utah County! I went today for their soft opening, and I can't wait to see the finished product and what all they will have to offer! I got a free cream puff, and it was delightful. I don't usually love cream puffs but I actually really liked it! It had so so much filling. The cheesecake was super fluffy and creamy, I loved that the raspberry was a bit tart and there was lots of sauce. I also really liked the crepe cake and I hope they bring more flavors once they are fully open! I did feel that it was a bit steep at almost $10 a slice, but if you think about how long it probably takes to make them it's understandable. I do hope they add more lighting once they are finished decorating the space, it was super dark inside. I think that's sort of what they were doing for but you couldn't really see the desserts to know what you're getting.

The pancakes are super light and fluffy and delicious! We were worried they might be too rich because they're so big, but they are super delicious and good. The staff was so kind. They said the wait would be a little longer than expected, and so they gave us a voucher for free pancakes for the next time we come. They are overall super friendly. Heads up though, we did have a reservation and still needed to wait a while for the food. They make you aware before hand - but if you're coming for a quick eat this probably isn't your spot. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant is really cool! Is so different from any place we've ever been. It's made to look like Japan at night, and the booths are really cool. Definitely a cool date night!! If you're lost where to go, it's just to the left of the Menchies FroYo. The door looks a little inconspicuous but the vibes inside did not disappoint!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! First of all, it looks soo cool inside. The treats are DELICIOUS! I was sooo impressed. I loved the Ube Sweet Taiyaki. I also had the strawberry sando and that was sooo delicious. My matcha latte was also so good. It's hard to find good matcha and Doki Doki did an incredible job. I cant recommend this place enough!!

The ube crepe cake was soo good! The location is a bit hidden, but it's so cute inside. Service was also great! Will definitely be back.

This was the "decent one" although you can tell that it was not baked all the way and you could smell the batter.

Such a disappointment!!! We're from out of state and had been wanting to try this place. I went online and made a reservation for fluffy pancakes. When we got there the guy at the front was super confused and must have missed our reservation. It took him a minute to find it and then asked which option we wanted. Btw, this place was completely empty and the decor was very dark and not very nice. He was going to charge me again even though I paid online. He went to the back and came back to say they didn't have one of the options chosen, which is fine so we picked something else. He didn't seat us or anything so we were left standing by the front door. When he finally brought out or order I asked for it to go because it took 30 minutes. The finally product was DISGUSTING looking. I walked out but came back in and just wanted a refund because it was gross! He saw that one order was complete mush and gave me a coupon for a free item for next time! There will not be a next time. Customer service was HORRIBLE, FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. And I'm still waiting for a phone call and for my refund! ZERO STARS! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Perfect spot for a treat! I stopped in for an afternoon coffee and dessert and I'll definitely be back! I had the passion fruit crepe cake and Nutella iced cappuccino. Both amazing loved the kind service and cool ambience- perfect for a summer day.

Love Doki Doki! I really loved the SLC location but this is much closer to home. All the deserts are super yummy and cute! Highly recommend this place. I have tried their fluffy pancakes, their panna cotta , their cheesecakes, and mochi cupcakes. Everything is super yummy.

    Sakura Matcha crepe cake

Delicious and delicate crepe cake I got the Sakura Matcha, would definitely buy again

Super yummy! And a really cool environment! The pancakes take about 30 min from the time you place your order but are worth the wait!

The matcha and lattes drinks tasted like milk. No flavor in them, it was good milk but not what we ordered. We waited like 40 mins for the pancake and it was $16 for it. A bit pricey but the pancake was at least good.

An interesting concept that works. 3.8 stars, is that a thing? LOL…read more This location is pretty cool. Nice layout and the ambiance is relaxed and chill. (Gotta use "chill" and "cool" when talking about an ice cream place, right?) Just by the entrance and under the stair case is a comfy cubby with two or three high rise tables and chairs. A cozy place to eat your ice cream with a nice window view of the entryway and the street. Then there is the upstairs. You go up a long spiral staircase (there's a landing halfway up) to go to the upper room. Pretty cool. Good view of the Provo Temple across the street. Fun place to eat your ice cream. The employee was not only friendly but you could tell she enjoyed her job. She had fun every time she had to make the ice cream. She told you all about it, too. So on the to ice cream. I had a mix in from the menu, Key Lime pie. Lime-flavored ice cream with bits of cheesecake and something else. It was OK, but I bordered on not liking it. It didn't remind of Key lime pie. But the texture was dense. That's what they are proud of. This process does not stir air into the mixture so it is much more dense than regular ice cream. And not only that, you get a lot of it. The small size cup is really huge! I'm not a fan of the texture. I like a good creamy, smooth ice cream. And while it makes you feel like you are getting more for your money, while not bad, the experience is not a good as a creamy ice cream or gelato. It's ice cream. And it's dense. Very dense. Still Ice cream, though, but very dense. It's not bad. Just not my jam. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I thought it was also nice that they had dietary restriction friendly options for those who are keto, gluten free, or vegan. I actually ended up trying one of the sugar free options because the flavors sounded really yummy! I wasn't in the mood for a heavy loaded up cup, but those looked incredible too. I stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon and the space was pretty quiet and chill. The staff members were so incredibly kind and helpful when I was making my decision. They also made it really easy to transport back home. I ended up going with the sugar free butter toffee. This was the first time I've seen sf options at an ice cream shop and unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. For the most part my experience with sugar free options has been great, but this was completely devoid of any flavor. I'm almost wondering if the sf flavors are a gimmick to make you feel like you're choosing, when in actuality they just whip up cold milk. Part of the experience is they make the ice cream in front of you, but aside from adding a little stevia I'm not sure what all went into my ice cream. When I got home and tried a scoop it just tasted like whole milk. I was super disappointed because I got a large! I'm torn between giving the sf option another shot or just writing it off forever. It was my first time trying Sub Zero, so I'm sad this was my first impression. Besides the flavorless taste, the texture is fun and almost reminds me a little of dippin dots. Overall, torn on my decision to try this place again or not. There's so many good dessert options around, so I guess we'll see. I still think it's a place you should try at least once, but order the sf options at your own risk!

They have soft dough based cones (almost like a horn shape) that are fresh baked and rolled in cinnamon. They have limited time special selections of tlother flavors too (like golden Oreo - I was so tempted on that but wanted to try th OG). The you select a different soft serve flavor, vanilla, chocolate, swirl or a lilited time flavor. Honestly they could have 2 or 3 more options of soft serve - 3 isn't a lot. Then you select a swirl in the cone like Nutella, cookie butter or peanut butter and 1-4 toppings and a drizzle. They carefully fill your cone with the swirl and a little topping on the bottom, fill half the cone with soft serve and top it, then do the top and add toppings and drizzle it. The soft serve was good but unremarkable. The topping were good but again, just average froyo stuff . I though it was good, but then I got to the cone! That's the star of the show. The cone was delicious. I wish it was bigger and maybe even less ice cream. It's worth trying, it's fun and different. They had fruit filled cones and seems like they change things up frequently. The location is clean, large and sleek feeling. Definitely a good spot for a fun outing.
