Now the days go by so fast Chocolate & Peanut Butter and Espresso Gelato from #dolcegelato
    Mojo S.

Good stuff here. After tackling the monster sausage from Haute Dawgz earlier tonight, I wanted something sweet and Dolce Gelato delivered. Not only was my peanut butter & chocolate and espresso gelato mix a hit taste-wise, but it turned out to be a bigger portion than I thought it would be. I can't say too much about the service as it was a short and straight-forward interaction with the server, but she seemed friendly enough. And I like coming to that part of The District because there are always so many outdoor tables and chairs near the AMC. I don't know--sometimes I'm not sure if I like gelato or frozen custard more since they are so similar. But this place is definitely another vote for gelato.

We had to medium size gelatos and the taste was really good. Service was okay and we were able to try a sample before purchasing what we wanted. Ambiance is family friend they only have one table and two chairs for indoor seating but there's a lot of outdoor seating .

i have been a long time fan of dolce so it saddens me to write a critical review. the gelato is still good but they changed the sample limit from 3 flavors to 2. That really limits the customer in finding a flavor they would want to order in my opinion. I wish they would get rid of this sample limit. Its hard for people to decide what flavor they want based on only two choices. What happens if they don't like either flavor? I think if i walked in, tried 2 samples and didnt like any, i would just have to walk away from the store. Which i would hate for a small/local business! anyways, i would just like to say that i hope they reconsider this sample limit. i know that some people take advantage of it but most people truly want to taste test and see which one they enjoyed the most!

This damn gelato place is right in front of the AMC and once you've had your meal.. it's so hard to say no to gelato. Especially when they offer dozens of flavors and they change with every visit. Two generous scoops of whatever flavor you want in a small or regular cup (whatever it is before kids size). They offer Persian flavors amongst other classic ones.

Tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how good the flavors are. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality makes it worth it. I ordered the peanut butter and the chocolate Nutella flavors--both were delicious. I'd definitely come back to try more.

We always make a pit stop here after dinner for dessert. My son enjoys ice cream from here. His favorite is their chocolate ice cream. Fun fact: every time we stop by, they have a different flavor menu. On Sunday, I remembered seeing they had Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs themed ice cream flavor. They allow you to try their ice cream before making a decision on which one you want. They have kid size cups. It's a good size for my son, husband, and I. The service was great as usual. The young lady behind the counter was so helpful.

Delicious gelato shop located in the District. It was a slow Thursday night with just one employee working. I sampled a few flavors and decided on the kids size cherry chocolate and chocolate chocolate chip. The perfect sweet treat to end my evening. The gelato is not as dense as some but I enjoyed and loved the flavors.

Small cup overfilled with ice cream. Messy, spills everywhere. They don't provide a lid for the small cup.

Likes: + Fun, sweet, colorful flavors. Two huge parking lots, but it can be a bit of a walk given how often crowded this plaza is. Non-likes: - Slow service. Only one employee on deck. - Messy presentation (see picture). Small size cup doesn't come with a lid. Melted ice cream overflowing the small cup and spilling everywhere. Hands and lap dirty if driving with one hand and holding the ice cream in the other hand. Have to ask for a larger cup to put the small cup in. Even so, still a huge mess. Had to also wrap with napkins cuz it was spilling onto my hands and potentially car seat. - Server doesn't wear gloves. - And he wasn't friendly. Didn't seem happy to be there. - Unhealthy. It's mostly just ice cream. Not a lot of actual fruit bits for vitamins and fiber.

Medium size - fruits of the forest and pistachio

I'm so glad I finally tried Dolce Gelato after always passing by the shop. My husband and I shared a medium size - pistachio and fruits of the forest flavor. The consistency was perfect and the gelato was also not too sweet.

Not bad but partly tastes like sherbet. We had Pistachio and strawberry, darth vader, obiwan, saboo, Ferrero Rocher and strawberry in sour cream. We've tasted better. It's not too creamy and it's on the sweet side. True Gelato is not like that.

They come up with new flavors every month and it's based off a theme. They have vegan and gluten-free options too. This month's theme (August) is based off Winnie The Pooh and some popular flavors are the Honey Carmel Crunch with a vanilla crumble on top and the Strawberry & Peach. You can pair your gelato with cobbler or lava cakes and even do an affogato. The staff is very nice and provides samples for you to try and this small gelato store is located in the district at Tustin Legacy, so there's something to do after or before. There's alot of seating outside.

Found this place on yelp. Located inside the district, next to AMC. U get 3 samples. Lots of yummy flavors to chose from. Different sizes. They even take home containers.! No seating inside but there are tables and chairs outside. Friendly staff. I got Ferrero rocher and a chocolate sea salt truffle. So good!

Think fashionable design meets European charm for the interior atmosphere, right down to the plates. Morning Lavender offers table seating as well as booths and can accommodate large parties for events. Now for the good stuff- let's talk an Iced Mocha with extra chocolate and an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The Mocha with extra chocolate was indulgent and velvety with the espresso seamlessly intertwined. A decadent treat to enjoy as the morning started to warm up into the afternoon. Just a suggestion for those who enjoy the richer side of coffee and espresso. A dash of a bit more cream would've added that refined richness. The star of the morning was definitely the Iced Chia Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The description of cold cream hardly captures and embodies what this Banana Cold Foam really is. Think lusciously thick banana smoothie topping off your drink. Impossibly creamy and bursting with ripe banana. Crowning the drink sat a slice of banana bathed on one side in a caramelized sauce similar to crème brûlée. Crunchy peanuts generously scattered on top, making an irresistible contrast in texture. This drink was truly an exceptional culinary experience. I will be back again and again for the Banana Cold Foam.

Rumi was wonderful with the kids, the snacks were cute (albeit pretty limited for the price--a small tea sandwich, a small cupcake, some cinnamon goldfish), they had a little dance session, and then did photos. Overall a cute experience for the kids. That said, I got a lavender latte and it was difficult to finish. The foam was like a salted caramel, which clashed with the lavender's liquid portion of the drink. There were a lot of lavender petals on top, which looked nice, but were bitter to taste. The latte portion actually tasted ok after I grabbed a straw so that I could drink it without the foam, but the foam and toppings just really threw the drink off. For $7, I expect harmonious flavors as well as an aesthetic look. I'd definitely bring my kid back for another Tots event, but I'd not get the lavender latte again.

I then grabbed a knife and fork to cut into the stack of pancakes and was astonished by how... for a lack of better word, fluffy they were. Upon first bite, I expected a rush of sugar to register after a few seconds of chewing. However, that sensation never came. The pancakes were just the right level of sweet. A few minutes later, the plates were completely cleared and I was back to suffering from again reaching full capacity and thought to myself, "when will I ever learn?". All that goodness was balanced by the cashews. The Jasmine Calamansi Iced Tea, which as the name connotes, combines Jasmine tea and Calamansi (an Asian citrus) juice. I'm not big on either but itself, but together this drink made for a refreshing drink. The Service: Everyone who works there is top notch: fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The Setting: It's located in the Tustin District, which has one of the worst engineered parking lots in Southern California. Firstly, the ingresses and egresses snarl traffic like crazy. The Interior: The cafe itself is narrow so there's not a ton of space to hangout I'd you're with a big crowd.
