Pizza slop

Ordered a pie online. Got there 20 min later and the woman says it's almost ready, 2 more mins. After 10 min, I finally see them START making the pie! It was never even done! Instead of being honest and saying "hey we forgot to make your order", they instead ignore you and pretend you're not there watching them. Another 20 min later, the guy comes over, after 5 more pickup orders out the door while I sit on the stool looking like a jackass, says "I had to remake the pie"! Bullshit man! I have been standing here watching you for the past 30 mins and saw you make my pie 10 min after I walked in! Finally get the pie 5 min after that and they offer me a free 2 liter for my wait. Fair enough, I'll take it. Then I get home and open the pie box and it looks like this! Horrible undercooked slop! I call them up and tell them I want a new pie. He says no problem and will deliver it to me, where I literally live 2 min down the road. 40 min later, no show so I call back. He says he sent the driver 10 min ago and should be there any min. I give it another 30 min and still no show. I call back up again and said, if my pie isn't here in the next 2 min, I'm coming back for my money. He said he will call the delivery driver. 10 more minutes go by and I just go back to the restaurant. Guess what, the delivery guy is there with my pie!! Absolutely ridiculous!! A waste of almost two hours! Never, ever again will I order from here! They don't know what the hell they are doing! Shame the old owners sold to them. Back to Torino! The only reason I'm giving them an additional star is that he did give me the cold to the bone pie and my full refund along with the free 2 liter.

What an amazing place to eat and chat. Service was fantastic and the food... Let me tell you, so fresh tasting and very filling. An A+. You need to go and enjoy. The ambiance, you'll feel right at home.

Seafood Combo

What a place!!! When you first walk in the door, you feel how friendly the atmosphere is. But let's get to the FOOD!!! I started with the rice balls. WOW!!!! Delicious. My Eggplant Parmigiana was the best I've ever had. We also had the Seafood Combo, Oh My God!! Pasta done to perfection. Seafood was fresh and delicious. The portions are good for the prices. More than you expect on a plate. Now let's talk about the pizza!! Crust to die for!! Crispy and delicious!! Will definitely come again!! Finally, dessert!!! The Limoncello Mascarpone Cup took me back home to momma. As you can tell, I highly..HIGHLY recommend this place...Also, it's a BYOB.

Chicken murphy - very generous portions!
pam s.

You know how everyone says NJ has the best bread and pizza? Well this restaurant illustrates that perfectly! This place has delicious Italian food! Very generous portions are served in large pasta bowls, subs, salads, paninis, all huge. Most importantly all made to order, fresh Italian food. There were six of us and all of us loved our meals! I had an eggplant parm sub which was piping hot when it was served to me, the Italian bread toasted and crusty outside soft inside. Lots of mozz and sauce (gravy) also. My husband got the dolce vita panini- prosciutto, mozz, roasted peppers. With French fries. Our other friend got chicken murphy in a huge pasta bowl. Two people got salads with big grilled shrimp. Someone else got a great personal sized pizza. This is a BYOB- you can sit, enjoy, talk, eat in a relaxed old world Italian restaurant atmosphere. The two waitresses were great and very busy, still getting us anything we needed.i give them a lot of credit, it was busy but they didn't miss a beat. Pleasant people and Very hard workers! The owner, frank, was very personable and spoke with us as if we knew him forever. We really loved the food, clean establishment, and professional friendly service. We will be back next time we are in old bridge.

Chicken parm and vodka chicken parm

My fiancé and I finally found our Italian spot! Way better than everything around us (we live in Aberdeen/Matawan area) food was quick, the vodka sauce was really tasty! We had an awesome waiter and the environment was great. Highly recommend!

The chicken Murphy is amazing!! Where else can you get an amazing lunch special for $8 . This is a must do!! Love everything on the menu
Frank P.

If you haven't tried their hamburger then your missing out!! This is my go to for lunch because the food is amazing and the price is perfect. They are consistent with their service and ingredients and they have not raised their lunch price post Covid. Thank you nacho for making us feel like family !!

We came to this spot after learning it from Joe Rogans podcast. Thank goodness I listened and actually took this into consideration this time. The ambiance and decor is definitely something you wouldn't expect. You walk in and it feels like a restaurant in the Italian countryside. Rustic and classy at the time. Great spot for formal occasions and dates. Thanks to our amazing waitress (Carmen) recommendations and service for our meal were top tier. For our appetizers it was recommended that we split the Wagyu Meatballs, Caesar salad and prosciutto with burrata. For the second round, we split 2 pasta dishes. Red wine parpadelle with short braised short rib and spicy rigatoni. Both dishes were amazing, however I can whole heartedly say that the spicy rigatoni was the favorite. Only bad thing I can say is that I wish there was more. Even though we had more than enough food, we foolishly ordered. A third round for entree which comprised of Ribeye with complimentary roasted bone marrow, filet mignon, seared tuna steak and Pork chops. All the entrees were exceptional and cooked to perfection. Owner (Anthony) and manager Norman were gracious enough to check in on us, making sure everything was to our liking. The staff here were very hospitable and really made our first time experience a memorable one. Will definitely be coming back with the rest of my friends and family.

For appys, we had a wedge salad w/ a slice of bacon, which my wife enjoyed. I had baked clams, which I loved! For dinner, my wife had Filet Mignon and mac & cheese on the side. The meat was cooked perfectly and the mac & cheese was great. I had a Wagyu rib eye cap and Brussel sprouts on the side. The meat was perfect, and so were the sprouts. For dessert, my wife had the affogato, which both of us loved. The only disappointment of the night was the Tiramisu, not flavorful at all. The service was top-notch, I appreciated that the waiter was not a kid, which so many places use these days. It's very expensive, $380 for two (BYOB), including tip. As great a meal as it was, I don't think I will be a regular. If I come back, it won't be for the steak, mine cost $115. The mains don't include sides, it's all a la carte. If the money doesn't bother you, or it's a special occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant. Somebody in that kitchen, knows what they are doing!

I was especially looking forward to ordering the ribeye and lit up instantly when the server listed it as one of the specials. The server shared that he would need to collect the orders for all of our courses at the same time which was fine with me. I actually had more confidence in the timing of everything for that reason. Our server had a delightful energy particularly at the beginning of our visit. After we placed our orders, everything began to fall apart. It did get noticeably busy since we first arrived, but we ultimately waited for our main entrees for over 3 hours. 3 hours. The table ordered the charred octopus and the oysters to start. The oysters hit the table fairly quickly, but then we began to gradually notice how long it was taking for the octopus to come. I had only a slither of the octopus so that I could say I tried it. Everyone at the table raved about the taste. I did, however, agree that their oysters were delicious especially when dressed with a little bit of mignonette, lemon, horseradish and a touch of Tabasco sauce. I'm excited to now report that I am a fan of fresh oysters from the east coast, because apparently the coast matters. The table also ordered the canaletto stuffed with mascarpone, parmesan and another cheese, langostines and lobster with morel mushroom cream sauce, garnished with truffles. I passed on this one also as it was too adventurous for my taste buds; although, their delicious bread and our drinks did distract me for a little while. The restaurant is BYOB, so we had our wine to keep us company while we observed other tables come and go. We eventually asked to see the manager and was told there wasn't a manager on duty which was either untrue or a very poor decision on the part of the owners considering it was a Friday evening. Having someone occasionally check in with our table may have also helped to take the pressure off of the server who may have gotten overwhelmed or decided to prioritize other tables. Having a manager offer a personal apology may have helped us feel less forgotten about. After the three hour mark, we decided this was enough. I didn't have much to eat at this point, but I wasn't at all worried initially since I was there for the main event, the ribeye. I stopped a hostess who was walking past our table and asked for the manager. We were again told the manager is not here but can be called, if needed. I simply replied, "Please do". Shortly afterwards, I noticed our server who at this time was standing by the host stand briskly walk into the kitchen and then return to our table with our plates. I sent the food back which was a decision that was supported by everyone at the table. Let me tell you, that was a difficult decision to make, but I also was ready to call it a night. Our mood had changed, and I truly felt like we were derservant of having the same experience as everyone else that night. Our server apologized for his part to play in the ordeal which I appreciated since I know his intention was never malicious, but unfortunately we had to call this night a bust. He offered us dessert on the house, and our entire meal was comped which we felt was an appropriate resolution. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding which was a favorite. Very good. Jasper Stone is a beautiful establishment with decorative yellow and white floral arrangements throughout the dining area. It is clearly a popular restaurant and has many positive reviews. I regret that I could not have a comparable experience.

My family and friends have dined at Feast Italian Restaurant many times, and we have always enjoyed…read morethe food and had pleasant experiences--until our visit yesterday. First, I want to say that the food was delicious, as it usually is, and our server, Skylar, was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our meal. One of my friends ordered a dinner special consisting of pasta with shrimp and lobster. Because the restaurant is fairly dimly lit, she didn't immediately realize that there was no shrimp in her dish. She continued eating, assuming she would eventually find it mixed into the generous portion of pasta. By the time she was about halfway through and feeling full, she was able to confirm that there was, in fact, no shrimp at all. When Skylar returned, my friend simply mentioned that her meal was delicious but that the shrimp had been left out. Skylar was extremely apologetic and offered to have the dish remade for her to take home, which my friend accepted. At no point was anyone rude, demanding, or asking for a free meal. A few minutes later, the owner, Liz, came to our table. Unfortunately, this is where an otherwise enjoyable evening completely changed. After we explained what happened, her response was essentially, "Why didn't you tell Skylar when you first got your food instead of waiting until the end?" We again explained that my friend had not initially realized the shrimp was missing and had expected to find it as she continued eating. Liz then told us, in a very stern and unfriendly manner, that this was a "pre-portioned and very expensive dish" and that she would NOT have another one made. She said the only thing she was willing to do was have the chef add shrimp to what remained of the original dish. We were honestly taken aback--not necessarily because she chose not to remake the meal, but because of the sarcastic, accusatory, and unnecessarily rude way the situation was handled. Our bill was nearly $200, and no one at our table was trying to "scam" the restaurant or get anything for free. My friend simply expected to receive the shrimp that was advertised as part of the dinner special she ordered and paid for. Mistakes happen in restaurants, and we completely understand that. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. Skylar handled the situation exactly as I would expect from someone in hospitality--with kindness, professionalism, and an effort to make things right. Unfortunately, the owner's approach was the complete opposite and made us feel as though we were being blamed for the kitchen's mistake. It's especially disappointing because we genuinely love the food here and have been repeat customers. However, after the way Liz spoke to us and handled such a simple, legitimate concern, we left feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, despite many positive experiences in the past, this interaction has changed how we feel about returning or recommending Feast to others. Great food is important, but so is how loyal customers are treated when something goes wrong.

Joe excused himself and went into the kitchen returning shortly. He said the chef would make us an order of gnocchi even though it was not on the menu. He said the chef would prepare it any way we wanted; this in a jam packed Saturday night restaurant. Now that's service! When he returned it was with a large platter of gnocchi with small potato cubes, and sweet acorn squash in a savory, slightly tomatoey, cream sauce. Now let's talk FOOD...We started with the garlic shrimp appetizer and I'm still thinking about that sauce it was so flavorful, garlicky & perfectly cooked. The spicy rigatoni had the perfect kick and was one of those dishes you don't want to stop eating. Honestly, everything we had was incredible. Obsessed is an under statement for their pizza. The rice balls were made with black rice-quite a surprise when we cut into them! The pulpo was tender and excellent. Both appetizers were very good. If you are looking for spicy Fra Diavolo, I would suggest mentioning to the waiter you want some heat. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was very good but not at all spicy. The mushroom risotto was very good as well. One of the specials was chicken cutlets with fresh tomatoes, olives, with a light sauce and topped with shaved mozzarella. This was served with roasted potatoes on the side, and it was excellent. The chicken was so flavorful and so tender you could cut it with a fork. Two of us had this special and it did not disappoint. We ended the night with coffee and two desserts. The creme brulee had a coffee flavor and was good. We also ordered a chocolate souffle, which definitely did not resemble anything close to a souffle. The flavor was fine but it flat, almost like a pancake. It was closer to a flatter molten lava cake. (Guess we should have been suspicious when we didn't have to wait extra time for the souffle.) Now for our main gripe. When one of us asked if the special chicken could be made without garlic (due to an allergy), the server said 'of course - nothing is impossible'. This was a lovely response to the request. However, when we received the check, there was a $4.00 charge for 'no garlic'. Really? We eat out in all sorts of restaurants from casual to very high end, and never have we ever seen this. This very small charge left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). For this reason we gave only three stars - nice ambiance inside and outdoor seating under a gazebo, pleasant, friendly service, and good food, but the extra charge for omitting an ingredient was very disappointing.
