If someone blindfolded me and served me a spoon of that sauce, I would never recognized it as spaghetti sauce and the pasta, homemade or whatever brand was not good. Old Bridge Pizzeria Restaurant is located in Old Bridge, NJ in a strip mall on the Rte 9 northbound side. The staff here is wonderful and super attentive from the moment you walk in. I ordered two plain slices and received them piping hot from a pie they took out of the oven upon my arrival. Unfortunately, the outer crust was the best part of the slice. It has a great pizza dough flavor and is both crispy and moist. The slices looked absolutely delicious but sometimes looks dont match the taste. And that is the case here. The sauce is tangy but lacks flavor beyond the tangy tomato taste. I am relatively certain that there is very little Italian seasonings utilized if any. The mozzarella is premium but without seasoning, it lacks punch. The biggest problem here is the slices are limp. They use a lot of sauce which is definitely preferable. But when you combine heavy sauce with a limp undercarriage, it adds up to a sloppy mess. The cheese slides right off and its extremely difficult to stay clean while eating. It was all over my hands and sadly stained my shirt as well. Overall Rating: C

Dirty tables. And the deathknell, it was completely empty. Fast forward to 2025.... the place has a new owner and a brand new dining area. And it's wonderful! The pizza is in the neopolitan style. It's crispy and flavorful. The cheese tastes premium. Great sauce. The sausage is not cut-rate. They have completely turned this place around. And the dining room had a lot of people in it enjoying the food. If you are in the Parlin area, it's definitely worth your time. So my daughter told me that I need to start rating these places. I hesitate to do so because I dont want to be compared to that other guy who in my opinion is a complete nasal drip. I review places for one reason.... out of love for the products. I love stadiums. They all repeatedly kept going in the back and coming out saying "A few more minutes" After 20 minutes I asked for a refund and said I didn't want the pies. Apparently if you complain they have to get the manager. Well the manager comes over and said he's going to check the back once again to see how much longer. He walks out about 2 minutes later with the pies. He then said "Oh sorry they forgot to put the order in" Which none of the girls informed me of the entire time I was there. Honestly I was mad because I've been a customer for years and that's how they treat their valued customers?? Not good! When I get home I opened up my pies and the 1/2 with light sauce and the other half with sausage was correct. But the second pie was all MUSHROOMS, not sausage like I ordered. Honestly I think the way they handled it was BAD! Shows they DO NOT VALUE their repeat customers and have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager kept saying "It was a mistake they forgot to put in the order!" Well next time I'll forget their phone number and ORDER ELSEWHERE where they value their customers!!!
