Small simple joint. Haven't been there in years but overall good when I still lived in town! They've done some renovations recently I hear.

One of my new spots to go get pizza...plus the price is really reasonable... you can get a large 1 topping pizza for $12 with tax included

I have passed by this place for yrs on the way to my parents house and never really gave it a try…read moreonly because we usually get pizza from Joey D's, Angelinas, or Rodolpho's...But this past Saturday when I was thinking about what I wanted to have for dinner Ottos popped into my head and I thought "why not give that place Otto's a try"...I really love the fact that their website has pictures of all of the menu items and lists all of the toppings/ingredients for their pizzas/specialty pizzas. This way you know visually what to expect. I placed a phone order for pick up. We got a white pie with onions and the honey mustard chicken wrap. The pizzeria is in a small strip mall where Piscataway could be South Plainfield but also could be, or is approaching Plainfield... IYKYK, if you're local to the area and know this road intersection haha...if you drive too fast you may miss it...When I went inside was greeted by a gentleman at the register and a young lady with glasses that was putting together and organizing orders. Both individuals were friendly and smiling...The gentleman was having a passionate discussion with a customer about the Knicks etc while we were waiting for our food...I like when you go places like pizzerias and take out spots that the people working there engage with customers, so it was cool, I am a Knick fan, so I hopped in the conversation myself...As I was standing there I looked into the display case and the buffalo chicken pizza caught my attention, so I asked if a slice could be added to my order...In total a personal white pie with onions, the chicken wrap, and the buff chix slice came to about $34. We really enjoyed the white pie and the buffalo chicken slice we ended up splitting (I was only supposed to be getting the wrap since I am watching my calories). I had a few bites of a slice of the white pie and it was super flavorful, creamy/rich from the cheeses, and really hit the spot. We really find ourselves ordering less and less traditional tomato sauce pies...so when you find a place that does a white pie well...Its noteworthy... The buffalo chicken slice was one of the best I have had (Two Tony's in Linden and Italian Village in Plainfield are what I always compare buffalo slices to, because they are top tier pizzerias for buffalo chix). Otto's uses the right amount of buffalo sauce and ranch. Looks like they toss the chicken pieces in the hot sauce whereas some other places just do a diagonal drizzle of buffalo and a diagonal drizzle of ranch. The honey mustard chicken wrap was great. The breaded chicken...I am not for certain, but tasted like storemade/homemade breaded cutlet, as opposed to frozen breaded chicken tenders...I mean if it is frozen chicken that is just tossed in the fryer, then its the best frozen chicken I have had in a long time, and I am still not mad at it haha I am not sure what brand of honey mustard they use but its very good def will be getting the wrap again...I really wished I had went to Ottos sooner than I did...Its a "hidden gem"...We have been missing out all this time...I see the 4-star rating here on Yelp, and I am confused why it isnt higher. The pizza is right on par with the other spots that I frequent that I mentioned at the beginning of my review, and is head and shoulders above alot of the other places in Edison-Piscataway-South Plainfield that I wont even bother mentioning. Def go to Ottos to get a pie next time you are in the mood for pizza! Sorry no photos were taken for this particular review but again...If you go to their website...what you see is what you end up with.

Called ahead to order two slices to go. They are one of the only places open at 10am, so I was…read moreinterested in trying for future "early lunches." When I arrived, the food was already bagged and ready to go. It was pretty good! A tad too much cheese, but the sauce was on the sweet side, which I like. I would definitely go back again, now that I know they exist and are open early!
