I will drive across town, park and walk just for a sip of their tiramisu latte. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but there really isn't another place that compares to this place. It is truely a hidden gem. As a local, there really isn't a reason for me to go to the train station, but I'm there multiple times a week getting my coffee fix. My go to is an iced tiramisu latte with oat milk, but I recently tried their pistachio milk & OMG ! I didn't know it could get better, but it sure did. I love how it's not overly sweet, it allows you to enjoy the coffee flavor. If you're not a coffee person, they have the best chai tea. You can taste the quality in each sip. The prices are average to any coffee shop, but you don't get this quality just anywhere. They're always so kind whether it's the owner or the workers, they go out of their way to make you feel seen and welcomed. The vibes are always there. It's such a cute place to sit with your coffee and watch the trains come and go or people watch. It would be a perfect spot to set up your computer and work there for a few hours. Heard about this place from my cousins. They raved about it so much one day that it made my husband want to check it out right away when we were in town. Went once, and ever since my husband has to go every time we are in town! We were in the city for 4 nights recently and he went every morning! This place is located inside the Amtrak train station. Definitely a hidden gem! My husband's usual is the cortado, which you have to sit and drink it there. You can't take it to go. I have had their Latte de Olla and the Chagaccino. Everything I have tried have been delish! I also had their macaron which was surprisingly good, does not fall apart after one bite. Their ice cream is good too! Came in randomly one day only to find the best Cafe de Olla Cappuccino of my life! I am usually very resistant to these types of things as I am originally from Mexico and I hold a high bar for items from my culture. However, one sip into the creamy foamy cinnamony hot drink and I was instantly hooked. I try to post only when it merits but the fact that this is in a cute corner shop inside a train station in the most hidden spot in socal makes this an ever greater find and a rarer gem. Will roasts the beans and makes art pieces that you can see, taste and enjoy. i popped in to try this place after it had been on my list for a while and happy to say i'm impressed! the staff and owners were super helpful and sweet. they suggested to come back and try their espresso shot in a few days as it needed a few more days after the roast date, which i loved to hear as it shows they favor serving a quality cup. we chatted about beans and matcha (the pistachio milk and light honey combo was AMAZING btw), and ultimately loved to see the regulars mingle with staff and also make great suggestions to first timers like myself. overall location of the place is cool, place has plenty of seating, merchandise and food for sale is always a plus. the only thing i hope to see is menu that's a bit more clear or condensed as it was a bit overwhelming. looking forward to coming back!! read more

It was our first time there and they get busy very quickly since it is a smaller area. Another guest took our drinks and when the worker realized it they were very apologetic and offered me the drink the other guest ordered to try and if I didn't like it they offered to make the one I ordered. Honestly I love coffee so it wasn't a bother to me and it was still a good tasting drink so I just took the one they offered. I had ordered some macaroons also and they threw an extra one and apologized again but told them it was perfectly fine and I appreciated them for making the drinks. There was 3 workers and they all apologized but definitely will make a visit again since the coffee and the macaroons were very good. I had heard so many good things about Dolce Vita, and it was about time I made it here to try their coffee. And I was 100% impressed. The coffee here was incredible. The chai tea latte was delicious, and the perfect temperature to enjoy right off the bat. I also tried one of their croissants - oh my god, so good. It was perfectly flaky and buttery. I got a tres leche sauce to go with it, and it was the perfect sweet to go with it. This coffee shop is located in the Oxnard Transit Center, but parking was still easy, and there was plenty of seating to enjoy your coffee if you wanted. They feature all organic coffee. A local HIDDEN GEM! Little history lesson - Will's, the Owner, mother used to have a small shop in this EXACT location 23 years ago and then he came along 3 years ago and made it into a coffee shop. Will was so humble and pleasant to talk to! Very sweet and professional. This place has been saved for the longest so I'm glad that I finally had the time to stop and try it. When I arrived, there was a power outage but he still made an effort with what he had so I appreciated that! Until today - I had NO IDEA it was in the Train Station. I drove around a few times thinking it was a mistake that it kept leading me here. There isn't anything here that screams "THERE IS A COFFEE SHOP IN HERE!". I didn't see the small sign until I was leaving. I do believe this is a nice location for those that frequent the Amtrak / Greyhound often. I ordered the Coconut Cold Brew Oat Milk Latte, with a macaroon, and dulce de Leche croissant. Coffee was STRONG but tasty and the food was soft and yummy. The only con for me was the location, given where/want it is - there is A LOT of homeless people and as I was walking around, the smell was a little off putting. SURPRISINGLY THOUGH - the OTC and the coffee shops area is REALLY CLEAN and well kept! All in all - If you haven't been here before, stop by - it was really cute given the location. So welcoming & dedicated in his passion for his coffee shop. They have both cold & hot beverages here. This is one of the first coffee places where I actually got to see up close, how they do the cute coffee pour overs. I enjoy watching the simple pour overs that Will does, it's cute... I frequent the Matcha Green Tea Latte & the Lavender Latte. I Love it a Latte!! Lol... Food such as sandwiches & Desserts like Gelato & Macaroons can be found here as well... On the weekends I've been lucky to try the collab Will does with tarts. There's also some merchandise you can purchase as well as a mini store Will has. Come check it out!! Paid 10 dollars for a drink I didn't order. There was a mix up with the cashier, but I know what I asked for. I'm allergic to coffee so I would have never asked for a latte. Regardless, mistakes happen but I was immediately met with defensiveness and arguments. If I pay 10 dollars for coffee, I at least expect to met with decent customer service when there is a mistake. A cute cafe tucked away in the downtown transit center. I love the calm atmosphere that is so different in character from the rest of the terminal. Although they don't have a separate enclosed stall, I'm impressed how distinct a space they've been able to craft for themselves. Kicking off a comeback to Yelp with this review. Pleasantly surprised by this cute coffee/pastry/gelato shop in Oxnard Station. They use Intelligentsia coffee and my iced americano was buttery smooth. The turkey sandwich used excellent soft savory brioche buns and the turkey was succulent and tender. Great pick me up for the train ride! Loved how friendly the staff were and how they offered great suggestions and details about their food. Apparently they've been around for 5 years, the coffee is their specialty that put them on the map, and the brioche buns used on their sandwiches are specially made and brought in from Santa Monica.
