Dolce Vita is one of those small hole-in-the-walls that is certainly a must 'check-out'. I've been wanting to go that spot for YEARS and I finally made the time to go on New Years Day. A friend of mine told me that he went there and it sparked some inspiration to go (especially with many places being closed during that day).I went into the Transit Station in Oxnard and I was extremely delighted to see his awesome hidden gem open to the general public. The staff behind the counter were super friendly, down to earth and very passionate about what they do! I got an iced mocha and another sweet treat to launch the new year off to a kick-ass start. I definitely see myself coming back more - especially when I am in that part of down.You guys are doing something incredibly right Dolce Vita! Please keep doing what you are doing! Very professional, he let me look over the menu with out rushing me. When I had questions about the pastry's they had, he was well informed. I get two macarons, one Blueberry Lavender, and the other was Rose, they smell and taste exactly as they are named. I have tried these flavors at other places but it's nothing like this, it's a must try! I also ordered a double espresso shot, now this is my go to drink, when in doubt espresso shots lol, the notes in the coffee were phenomenal, not too bitter or sour, it is definitely one of thee best I have had. This cafe has a very modern, clean, and crisp aesthetic. Very cute. I walked in and immediately smiled reading all the sweet notes and affirmations written on the windows. Good vibrations indeed. I loved all the drink options. It was recommended I try the coffee here so I did. I usually don't drink much caffeine anymore so it was really cool to see all of the immune support drinks and caffeine free options. I love seeing a cafe with a wide range of drink options to accommodate everyone's needs. The coffee truly was outstanding...this is a true coffee spot! Nothing watered down over here! I got the dirty chai which was 10/10. I also had a croissant with dulce de leche and rose macaron. I usually don't like macarons but this one was so special I would come back for it. My friend loved the dulce de leche so much she ate every last drop of it, very decadent and delicious. The owner, Will, is such a sweet soul. He shared why he named the coffee shop Dolce Vita and he said he wants to bring purpose (and sweetness) to everyone's life. He is definitely doing that. Thank you, Will! Nestled in the Amtrak center, this shop is a hidden gem. I tried the ice Chaga latte and it was great. What really surprised me was the rose macaroon, it was intense and subtle at the same time. The croissant was light with a crisp outer layer taste and softer inner layer. I'm not a Bread fan, I ordered just to review it but ended up eating it all. The croissant was especially delicious when paired with dolce de leche syrup. I was so hooked that ordered an extra drink, iced butterfly pea latte with oat milk. The ingredients here are wholesome (see pic ) and quality does take time so be mindful of that when ordering. The area may not look all that inviting but I had no issues finding parking and felt safe. read more

Amazing hidden gem inside the transit station. Knowledge servers and top rate pastries. Seating is reminiscent of middle school with two nice tables usually occupied by people on laptops. I really do wish I would've got pictures of my drinks but they were amazing and we devoured them! I got the coconut latte with the mascarpone and the tiramisu with the mascarpone as well. I was a little lost as to finding this place but it's inside a train station. There is only 1 person working & they take their time making the drinks so I would not recommend this place for a quick coffee spot. Luckily I stopped before the line came but I waited about 15 minutes for my coffee. It was worth it! If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stop by. My wife and I like to spice up our relationship by taking separate cars to a nice restaurant, cafe, or coffee shop on date nights and then pretend that we don't know each other. We've been married a very long time. This week, we put our local community theater experience to good use and arranged a 'character date' at Dolce Vita in the Oxnard Transit Center. It's a hidden gem of a cafe located in the center of downtown Oxnard. Dolce Vita sells coffee, espresso, gelato, and delicious ham and turkey sandwiches. The cafe is compact and efficiently designed but the sizable Dolce Vita dining area spills into the bus terminal, which makes for a very comfortable shared space that's great for people watching. My wife assumed the character of a glamorous dental hygienist named Mavis Carmichael. I learned at our pre-date briefing that Mavis lives downtown and was becoming increasingly unhappy with the state of her life after her recent divorce from a retired airline pilot, Antonio. My wife has a thing for Antonio Banderas, so the ex-husband's name was a bit of a distraction if I'm honest. Apparently, the only bright spots in Mavis' life are her childhood friend, Constance DeBeauvoir - a drug-addled socialite - and Mel, the handsome but aloof landlord of her apartment building. I approached the character of Mel with vigor and purpose, despite my wife's failure to give Mel any real semblance of a backstory. I found my creative muse at Dolce Vita. The quaint European-style cafe offers a small but inspired menu and the proprietors working behind the counter are extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Mavis showed up at Dolce Vita as I was finishing my second gelato. She entered wearing a broad smile, black dress and a bright yellow feather boa. I stopped her with a a hand gesture to finish up a phone call with Mel's beautiful ex-wife - Sienna. My wife was agitated by the introduction of a surprise ex-wife and broke character to question my artistic choices. Our date then devolved into an argument and I made an ill-advised comparison of her yellow feather boa to Big Bird, and we soon lost sight of the original purpose of our date night. When a station security guard was attracted by our restrained squabble and appeared near our table, we suddenly remembered why we were asked to leave our community theater group. We sat quietly with our shame for the rest of the date as I finished my turkey sandwich and my wife fumbled through her purse in search of her sudoku book. All in all, a pretty nice evening. Do not sleep on this coffee shop!! William makes THE BEST espresso in Ventura county! Dolce Vita is tucked away in the Oxnard train station but the ambiance still does not disappoint. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have yet to visit France, but this was the best latte I have ever had. I didn't know lattes could be so delicious. And now I'm ruined. I'm ruined I tell ya. I can't even bring myself to bother with Starbucks. I've been searching for something even remotely close to the magic I experienced in this bus station back home. Today, I was given some Yelp Elite Swag, a cup of hot/ iced tea or coffee, a chocolate croissant, tasting of Gelato and a coffee glass mug ( which is adorable! Thanks Yelp) My iced matcha with Oat Milk was delightful and delish. My croissant was fresh and sweet. William had a variety of macaroons, I chose the lemon.
