Very convenient, as we live near by. We come by for party supplies and the such. They also offer balloons. I'm hesitant on candy , sometimes they aren't super fresh. Employees are friendly. I frequent this location and the things these poor employees deal with.... I feel so bad for them but they always handle it with grace from what I have witnessed. Sometimes I know the lines get long and they have been understaffed..... some of the customer have been so rude to these poor employees. They do the best they can with what they are given. So please be kind to them. I walked in today and the manager was so kind and so friendly. They always have a smile which makes a customers feel welcome. They are always working hard and keep things stocked nicely. I know the shelves are sometimes depleted but it's the dollar store.... Things are going to go quickly from time to time and they always try to keep this store clean and presentable. Absolute amazing staff that has to deal with homeless people constantly and they are awesome at dealing with horrible situations. The store employee is a thief and a crook! He purposely didn't put all my items in the bags I paid for and then I get home and realize he didn't I call and ask if I can be refunded for the items that were left there that I paid for and he didn't put in the bag he bagged up and he hangs up in my face! I dig this location. The customer service is always a little off sometimes the disgruntled life of retail, how I don't miss it, but the Dollar Tree Chatsworth crew always make an effort and put their best foot forward... even if they're having a bad or off day. The store itself is always extremely organized though they tend to run low and not fill all the space they offer. The main entrance is a good gap from any registers or management they can definitely utilize the empty floor space for cool displays and bulk items. I've never seen this store in chaos or as bad as some of the other reviews. I got to the anytime fitness in the same parking lot and pop in from time to time. They definitely have more than you would expect but also are limited when it comes to snacks and seasonal items compared to other Dollar Tree locations. Parking is easy and shared with the gym and Ralph's mainly. I came in recently to get some planting things and they carry a lot, minus the soil which I went to the 99 to pick up after. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a store. These employees are bullies... specifically the two or three girls that seem to be mentioned often in a negative light in these reviews... i Was harassed because I put my little items in a bucket I was buying that was in my cart and had over 20 other items in the cart nd the employee kept saying security check aisle 7 and I thought this couldn't be me considering I am In my work shirt(retail worker as well) so who would risk a job for 1.25? and I never touched my bag and I didn't have pockets in my crewneck sweater so idk what they were trippen on...but after another 5 min or so I dropped my phone and the girl walks around it stares me up and down and says you need to get your stuff out of that basket NOW. You didn't purchase that it's not yours . I'm like oh ok I'm confused ? Im not done shopping my mind just works better separating my items and she said well we have lots of THIEVES (implying something ?) so you can't do that. So I empty it and I let her know I respect retail so just so you're aware I'd never do that and she laughed walked away. Then I decided to put all my stuff away because i was not going to support a store that left me in tears considering I know how kind I am at my job and how EASY IT IS TO BE NICE. I start putting all my items where they BELONG and they have the nerve to say 'thank you' all snarky over the intercom and I'm like wow most ppl would leave the cart and go and then I said nope I'm done and walked out and they said 'have a good day' over the intercom while the whole line stared at me. I went inside and I was pleased on how they had their holiday items right in the front. I am excited to grab some stocking stuffers. I am a little disappointed on not seeing any decorations for Hanukkah. The store had pleanty stocked on their shelfs. I happen to have to go to the restroom and I was given a key. The restroom was clean with mild graffiti. It had soft soap and paper towels. I interacted with a gentleman named Gerald at the register. He was very polite and had perfect customer service. I happen to over hear Gerald speak to another customer and laugh together as he must know the regulars who come often. I will definitely come here again. read more

Move over, 99 Cents Only store. Excuse me, Daiso. There's a new Dollar Tree in town, and this Tree is a hit. Sprouted in a tired old shopping center on Devonshire, anchored by a friendly Ralphs, Dollar Tree took over and combined four adjoining storefronts (a drycleaner, an eye doctor, a nail salon, and something else no one can remember) to create this nice-sized store, perfect for pushing the Dollar Tree carts around (which I assure you, you will fill). Everything, after all, is one dollar. You cannot beat the tissues, office supplies, baking supplies, pet stuff, housewares and even Neosporin ($1!). Sweet tooths will find the cookies to be pretty good. The fewest items I have ever escaped with is 10. Stores like this are the most fun when new, and this store was literally just built. Wide, wide aisles for browsing. Now to address the elephant in the Dollar Tree room: it's true there is a transient population here on Devonshire. That's sad, both for shoppers who don't want to be accosted, and for the transients, often suffering from mental illness. I can only say this is a reality of life in LA and everybody needs to be somewhere. Staff at this store try to keep the store looking nice, and the savings are there. Everything is just-one-dollar. Little help and they now have no supplier for helium so getting balloons is impossible they have people putting in orders for balloons. They do have fun summer decorations and are already set for Fourth of July decorating. They also have very nice Fathers Day cards if your doing it on a budget. I'm always on a budget so if you see something there you like buy 2 because they tend to run out of things fast. read more

This is actually a nice store. Dude thought I was stealing cause I was checking to see if my juice would fit in a bottle they had, and he showed up as I was zipping up my backpack lol. But I don't blame him for thinking that, I hope he saw when I turned around and grabbed all my stuff he thought I was stealing, I put it behind me on a shelf. Also I walk around the whole store lmao. I do this a lot when going to Dollar Tree or 99¢ stores. You never know what you find or what you didn't know you needed or could use. I'm at the Ralph supermarket next door. I leave to come into dollar tree at 7.49pm. The store manager looks me right in the face and locks the door. It's not 8pm, it's now 7:51. No customers in the store, which means I could be in and out the store in no more than 3mins. I would like someone to explain why you have set hour for the store to be open, if they will not adhere to them. read more

I have been here for a few times. They have great options. Sometimes they do run out of what I look for but they seem to restock them quite quickly. Absolutely horrific experiences I have had with the staff and location. First, you have aggressive transients hanging out in front of the store so you have to rush to get into the store hoping that they will not harass you or assault you. Once in the store the shopping experience is uncomfortable because there was another transient talking to herself and walking around. I asked the clerk that this was a problem and their answer was " we just have to be patient". What kind of answer is that? I will never shop at this location again. read more

I will never go back to this store again. I had to use there restrooms but the cashier (jennifer) informed me that they were both out of order. Then I was forced to run around the center and look for a restroom. After no luck I finally asked the manager and he let me in. The only reason he let me in was because I told him there was no out of order sign on the door. When I was finished the cashier informed me that she was told by management not to let coustomers use the restrooms. Isn't that illegal ?? I rate this store a big fat zero! read more

Absolutely disgusting. I was so excited to have a Dollar Tree close to me but it's not worth it, nor is it safe. This store is always dirty, smells like weed, rude employees and has bums constantly hassling their customers. They rarely have the the items I'm looking for. There shelves are in such shambles if you want something you have to dig for it. I never have that issue at other stores. When you say something to the manager he just says, "we can't fix it all". Dollar Tree - Discount Store Near Me - Chatsworth, California

Brand spanking new store. Came here within a week of it opening. It's just your standard Dollar Tree except it's cleaner and things are organized better. -1 star because it wasn't staffed well (noticed this at most locations). Got: squirrel salt and pepper shakers makeup wipes pediegg makeup sponge thing (I usually see it for $3-$4 at places like Ross and Marshall's) knock off Salonpaus for my back Australian licorice notepad I saw the review right after mine. For the most part that is true. The Ralph's next door is run down. It wasn't always like that. Years earlier it was Hughes' (anyone remember that?). There are pan handlers most of the time outside this Ralph's (probably given that it's walking distance to the train station though). There were many times when I would get someone come up to me who "needs a quarter to go take the bus". Do I think a dollar store will make the area a bit more scuzzy? Probably. I'll be honest though, Chatsworth has started to go downhill before the store was made (I hate saying this as I have spent most of my life here). I often have to request to have graffiti removed on Lassen which seems to come back every month or so. There's people on my nice middle class street who get high in their car and throw out their weed containers and fast food bags. I don't know why Chatsworth started to become like this. My only thoughts are the presence of marijuana dispenseraries, Purple Haze, Section 8 in some buildings, and Choice enrollment in schools. In fairness though to my hometown, for as long as I can remember it has been a very economically diverse community from apartments, trailor parks, condos, ranch style homes, and mansions. All this in 1 neighborhood is sort of unique when you think of it. read more

Glad this Dollar Tree store is down the street so convenient to get some useful items without breaking the bank LOL! The Yardley London oatmeal and almond soap $1 what a deal it cost three times at Walmart. Kleenex box $1 while at Walmart it cost $1.99 not too mention many other useful items wooo hooo savings $$$$. I love it! Also, no need to drive to Roscoe and Desoto which is a pretty messy store and the long lines at this stores when people order pver 14 balloons - the line was so long this is only thing I do not like about Dollar Tree there should be a limit of 3 balloons per person no need to hold up the line for a $1 dollar balloon as people order sometimes over 20 balloons for their baby shower or parties. read more

I went to this dollar tree to return a gift card I previously bought that was empty. I bought a visa gift card for $20 and when my daughter tried to use it, the cards wasn't even registered. I talked to the cashier and they told me to speak to the manager. The manager then proceeded to tell me that she wasn't going to refund my card and told me that she wasn't even the manager, her name was Rosario. The customer service was really rude. read more

Do not go to this dollar tree. Its new, which is hard to believe after seeing the inside. This is one of the DIRTIEST stores I've been to. Items are all over the floor and thrown all over the shelves so that you have to dig through things to find what your looking for (which I still couldn't find).
