We heard about Domani's from a local as spot for great Italian food. We stopped in late on a Monday after a long day of travel. Luckily we were the only people in the restaurant and we were treated like family. It was a cozy place and a short walk from our Airbnb. We started with local beer and the Italian salad. The salad was just ok (pretty simple, but fresh nonetheless) but we were starving so we demolished it. The hostess recommended the domani special which we enjoyed. We also had the lasagna which was made traditionally with beschamel sauce (how I make mine) and it was outstanding! We finished with a cannoli and left feeling satisfied. We ordered takeout here after getting a recommendation from a friend. We ordered a wide arrange of food to try: pizza, salad, sandwich and an appetizer. The sandwich was so bad we couldn't take more than three bites. The pizza was nothing to write home about (would prefer a costco slice). The salad was somehow so salty. The appetizer was fine, not what I was expecting but probably the best out of what was ordered. We ended up getting sick from god knows what after eating, maybe all of the above. This person was trying so hard, but they were pretty much doing everything: taking orders, serving, possibly making the drinks, dealing with our bills, maybe even prepping in the back. I don't know but the result was everything was super slow and the restaurant was maybe a third full. The food was mediocre To spend $22 for fettuccine with a few shrimp in it was not worth it. I would not be returning. There are plenty of other places where you can get better value for the money and have a better experience. Pleasantly surprised! Took a gamble and ordered a "build your own" calzone + Greek salad via DoorDash. It was delicious and reasonably priced for size/quality/etc. I would definitely order again. If you order a drink it better be on the menu or it will Become a disagreement on what is served to you and if sent back and asked to be done correctly employee will say I can't make you two drinks and not charge you even if you didn't touch it. The service we received is horrible I loved eating here until recent I don't know what was the problem today but never again this was the worst experience I had and then to assume your getting a tip when you didn't even listen to the order. I'm a HUGE fan of Domani. When I'm in the mood for pizza I know it will come out perfectly here. Their calzones are also excellent. When I'm trying to watch my carb figure, I get the Antipasto Salad. Their chicken wings are delicious as is their Broccoli-bacon bake. We also love their baked cauliflower. We have gotten the pasta here and it is just great. You know what you're going to get at Domani! I think I've used Yelp check-in many times here. Domani also is very supportive of local public schools, so I give them extra points for that. I used a delivery app for Take Out. The CHOCOLATE CANNOLI was great. The Creamy Tuscan Pork Pasta was ok. It tasted fine when you need a differet spin on a take away italian dish, although I would be disappointed if I were to dine in as my expectations would be higher. The roasted pork was plentifully spread over the top of the dish, but despertely called out for the need of more herbs when roasted such as a boost in garlic and possibly adding rosemary. Where I was disappointed in the dish is that the sauce was fine but reminiscent of a pre prepared sauce and lacked spice. The pasta used was penne and while they say they use fresh made pasta you would never be ableto tell as it was so overcooked it was unpalatable. I think switching out the spinach for a more peppery or even a more bitter green would help boost the flavor and definitely serving it over al dente fettuccini with fresh herbs would be great. read more

What a special find in this restaurant for us. We are from Eastern Oregon And unfamiliar with eateries in Seattle. This place was absolutely a gem to find. For starters, the staff was more than friendly and professional the entire evening. The place is well set up and very nice with fresh cut flowers in every vase. The drink menu is great and the pricing is fair. And most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. We both had calzones todd we wanted to alter with substitutions and they absolutely had no problem doing that. Gosh I wanted to like this place. Sadly, I did not. The staff seem so nice and hard working but whatever is going on in the kitchen can't make up for that. Honestly, a pork tenderloin is one of the *easiest* things to cook and hardest to botch. The thing that showed up on my plate was easily overcooked by 100% (i.e. if he should have cooked it eight minutes, he easily cooked it sixteen minutes). It was so tough that my STEAK KNIFE could barely get through it (remember...it's called TENDER loin). I was very disappointed. Both of my kids ordered pizzas and the bottom was so charred that cutting it wasn't an option...more like snapping it into pieces. I'm not sure how the chef allowed it out of the kitchen. He MUST have known he'd obliterated it in the oven. Bummer. Look, I think this place has a lot of promise, but the kitchen has GOT to get its act together. Letting this stuff out to customers makes them not want to come back...and this place is surrounded by competition. It wasn't worth the price for the quantity I got at all but quantity aside, the ravioli tasted like it was pre-packaged ravioli from Target or any other grocery store and the sauce was also absolutely nothing to write home about. You could get a similar if not the exact same taste if you just used an off the shelf jarred sauce The tiramisu was also pretty average and a tiny portion compared to the price and restaurants in the area. You are however allowed to bring food in or order delivery to the business. I put in my order on my phone and it was ready ten minutes before the projected delivery time (45 min), hot and fresh out of the oven. Everyone around us looked on in envy as we devoured our delicious slices of melty mozzarella and basil. We ordered the margherita pizza and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. This is a cute, cozy, and unassuming neighborhood pizzeria. The decor is pleasant and feels a bit like you are having dinner at a friend's house. The food was throughly satisfying and the service was friendly. We came in because of the pictures I saw of the Chef's Special pizza and we were not disappointed. My husband said this is the best pizza he's had since we left the midwest over a year ago. The salad was decent, not as amazing as the pizza but it was a good starter. The feta they use here is very flavorful--soft and salty. Loved that they use compostable straws and cloth napkins. Got delivery from this place last night because I was excited to find an Italian place with GF options. Im thankfully not celiac so I can generally get away with mixed use restaurants. My partner got a non-GF "carbonara" which wasn't really a carbonara by any definition we have ever come across. I got a super basic bolognese. The website said it'd come with GF penne. Instead, it had rotini. Anyone who eats GF pasta knows how much rotini breaks down so I was kinda disappointed. The portion was also kinda small for both of our orders. We ate it, because it showed up about a half hour late (not the restaurants fault), but it wasn't any better than what I could make semi-homemade at home. The cross contamination woke me up from a dead sleep at 2am with stomach cramps that had me shuffling bent in half to the bathroom, and Ive been in and out of there all day. Definitely will not be ordering from here again. I hate leaving bad reviews but between the disappointing food and the cross contam, I felt like I had to let folks know that I don't consider this a good GF spot. read more

We came for lunch around noon and one person was serving, bar, and cooking. Thankfully the restaurant was pretty empty so it was okay. Their "hot sandwiches" are on extremely thick and crispy ciabatta making them difficult to eat and a lot of bread. The Italian sandwich had tomato and ham in it (amongst other ingredients) and both were chopped very small, obviously used for pizza toppings, so it made for a weird sandwich and lacked flavor. Stopped in here for lunch, and decided on one of their lunch specials: eggplant parm with a side salad and some iced tea. First off, the iced tea was delicious. Some kind of black tea with orange. Wow. Loved it. Got our salads which were a mix of wild field greens and drizzled dressing. Also tasty. Eggplant parm was hot and melty, and very tender. My only complaint was the lack of sauce for the bed of spaghetti... come on! The people demand more sauce! Service was somewhat slow (one waitress for the whole place), and when we handed her 20s for our separate checks, she informed us she wasn't sure if she had change for us. Kind of weird.
