One of the rudest experiences I have EVER had with a pizza place. I tried to order pizzas over the phone for delivery and they simply said I can't pay with cash for the delivery because it was over $100 and when I removed stuff from my order which made is less than $100 they then said they can't deliver over anything over $40 and when I removed more stuff and asked for them to deliver they simply just said no and hung up. I ordered from Dominos because I was hungry, it was on my route home, was tired, and they had the 2-topping carry out pizza promotion for under 7 bucks. I've had their pizza in the past several years ago and it was pretty terrible. However, according to 2 of my friends they changed their recipe and tasted decent. Well, I know now, to never trust their tastebuds, again. Placing the order online was easy and quick. I ordered the thin crust pepperoni and sausage and it was ready fairly quickly. Upon opening the box, it already looked dry and cold. I live less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. I decided to try a piece anyway and had to force myself to eat 3 slices to avoid going to bed hungry. Something about the thin crust annoyed me. It reminded me of slightly crispy pie dough. It was "off" in a bad way. The sausage fell off the slice each time I tried to take a bite. Almost as if the meat wasn't baked into the pizza and just placed on top after cooking it. The pepperoni was greasy and the sauce was lacking and almost nonexistent. I ended up letting my daughter and her boyfriend finish it off. I tried it and won't even attempt to do it again. I also ordered a garlic sauce cup and quickly realized that it was only garlic flavored liquidized cold margarine in a cup. So disappointing. I get it, teenagers and young adults love this kind of cheap pizza. Not me. I'm just glad this whole experience only costed me around $8.50. Lesson learned, stick to small business pizza shops with better high quality ingredients and recipes. You definitely get more bang for your buck. read more

The jerk on the phone said get there before midnight closing time. Yeah, I called In at 11:40 for two large 3 topping pizzas. Got there at 11:55 on time when I was to make sure before midnight. Anyway They must've been very angry to get a call 20 minutes before closing. So I had to wait about 15 minutes for them to make the pizzas. Eventually I got the pizzas and the shock was when we started to eat them. They must've been real angry really really angry and dumped an extra 8 ounces of salt or something like on each pizza. Then two were not cooked enough. Yeah we heated them in my oven. But again when we tasted them, We threw them out because of All the salt to put in there I spoke to someone there the next day asked for a refund or two pizzas in the future. Everytime I go to the Dominos my order is both on time and made right! Lots of other dominos establishments seem to have lots of trouble with that. My closest dominos (on clark/rogers park) tends to have issues with their cheese to sauce ratio and their pizzas are very inconsistent in quality. What the fah-so Domino's. The pizza recipe has been changed up for the better. Basically the same pie but with Parmesan dusted all over so your left with yummy stuff to lick off your fingers. Great. But, what's up with the lack of sauce! Now my only grudge with this location has been their long standing resistance of putting ample sauce on their pizza pie. Even when requested to add more they are still frugal about it. I've never been one to stand & make them accountable for their pie, even though they do have that guarantee that's printed on pizza boxes. But, I think I have to start doing so. I wonder now.. My dad loves their thin crust pizza so we always order from here if he wants "fast food" chain pizza. Of all the dominos within my area (North Park), this place has the nicest and fastest service. I typically order online and it is typically ready for pick up in 10-15mins max. This establishment is definitely more of a carryout/delivery establishment with minimal window seating. Parking can be a problem when super busy since the parking lot is small. In terms of pizza, they haven't gotten my order wrong here ever, which is great, and they ate very lenient on toppings :) read more

Well .... I decided to give Domino's a try. I don't remember if I ever had it before, but it certainly won't be the last time I try it. I did the on-line ordering and then followed the process on the pizza tracker. I bet that can be a lot of fun for people with kids. It would keep them occupied while waiting for dinner to arrive. Sure, it is a gimmick, but what the heck, who isn't into mindless entertainment? We tried one of the new "artisan" pizzas. It contained spinach, feta cheese, onions and Parmesan cheese. It was actually kinda tasty. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings combined for a really nice flavor. Another gimmick is that the manager signs the boxes on the "artisan" pizzas to add a personal touch. To be honest, I find Domino's approach of more personalized service refreshing compared to the indifferent service I have always found at Pizza Hut. They have converted me, at least for now. Domino's is certainly not at the top of my list of favorite pizza spots, but for a quick delivery on a rainy day, it is just fine. read more

When it comes to the large national fast food type pizza's I'm a die hard Domino's fan. Granted they can't compete with the pizza joints that are so famous here in the city, but at their price point and for fast service and delivery they're my go to folks. You'd think with me being such a fan of Domino's that the rating I give it should be higher, but I'm trying to be realistic since there are other companies (especially here in the city) that really put out superior tasting pizzas. Anyways, my main point of this review update is to give a warning about their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. I've literally been wanting to try them for years, but I like their pizzas so much I never got around to trying them. Yesterday I finally ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and in some ways I was totally underwhelmed and on another point I really enjoyed it. Since I am such a fan of Domino's I will start with the good first. The flavor of the sandwich was really really good! It had a nice flavored meat that if I hadn't known the name of it I would have sworn I was eating a bacon and cheese sandwich that had onions in it. The cheese was nicely baked too so it had a nice crunchy texture around the edges which I loved. So for flavor I'd give it 5 stars. Now the negative. When I opened the box it is served in I couldn't help but to feel like I'd been cheated. It's served in a decent size box so it's looks like you're going to get about a 10" sandwich, but inside you'll find there's about 2" of empty space on both ends of the sandwich. Then when you figure in the price of about $6.50 with tax it's just simply too much for the small serving size. If you're a petite lady or a man with a small appetite it would make a meal, but for a man or woman with an average or large appetite there's no way it will fill you up if you start out feeling fairly hungry before you dig into this sandwich. Now it's time to talk about the "Philly Cheesesteak" flavor profile. Sorry Domino's you blew it by calling this a Philly Cheesesteak. There is no resemblance flavor wise between this sandwich and a Philly Cheesesteak. Granted it was a very tasty little sandwich, but to advertise it as a Philly Cheesesteak is pretty far off the mark. So the bottom line is if you don't mind paying for 2 sandwiches that have a very good flavor (although nothing similar to a Philly Cheesesteak) then by all means grab a couple and enjoy. However, if you're wanting a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich then order from Philly's Best or some other place that knows how to make a real Philly Cheesesteak. I will continue to frequent Domino's, but I will not be ordering anymore of their sandwiches! If there is a Zero star but 1 is the lowest then I would say this dominos privately owned at 3144 W Devon Ave, Chicago, IL 60659, substitutes cheap, mushy cheese. Asshur the assliar lied to me by stating that they use mozzarella. I'm not as stupid as he looks. I know what mozzarella cheese is for the past 30 years. They use fake ingredients at this dominos pizza. The steak is so thinly sliced, it's not tasting like steak but more like roast beef deli meat. It's disappointing to consistently receive the wrong pizza or wrong toppings at this Dominoes. I ordered a pizza with two toppings none of which included mushrooms but received an extra topping of mushrooms all over it. Many individuals are allergic to certain foods and those mistakes could be costly. Not sure what the issue is with the online ordering or if the employees are simply not paying attention but it's inconvenient after picking it up and arriving home to find something you didn't order. I haven't ordered anything from Domino's in about 5 years, but yesterday my friend came over and she wanted food from there. The guy answering the phone was super nice, explained that some items were no longer available on their menu and gave some good suggestions. My girl had Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken ( Love my friend, but as my fellow Yelper and friend Lori L says "Bless her heart. Lol). I didn't try it but she said it wasn't good. I had bread twists which is a new item on their menu, you can have parmesan, garlic or cinnamon . When I ordered I never specified which one I wanted because I didn't know they had 3 kinds (found out on their website hours later) but since I asked for blue cheese it was obvious it's not the cinnamon one. It actually had garlic and parmesan so I somehow got both flavors ( whatever, let me feel special). The delivery was on time, food arrived hot so that's what's up. read more

I've been living in the Rogers Park area for over a decade and this is my go to Domino's. Never disappointing until today when I was rudely dismissed by one of their employees(Jasmine) who claimed to have worked there for over a year. I had ordered an extra blue cheese sauce and paid extra however I did not receive it until I realized when I got home 20 mins later. When I called the person who picked up(Jasmine) laughed at first and then asked if I wanted to come back to get it. I told her I was halfway home and she said they could credit me back. I told her that was fine but it wasn't until I was about to hang up that I heard her snickering in the background to her fellow employees about me "tripping" over one sauce. That was uncalled for an very rude of Jasmine. I feel very disrespected and I called right after asking to speak to a supervisor. She said there was none available and that the one that is is named "Spotty". I told her how I felt and she told me she worked there for a year and that nothing will happen to her cause of this. I've been ordering from Dominos for years now and never have I encountered any problems until recently. I let my 10 year old order pizza sometimes while I'm driving home from work (I work 9-5pm), and what they told me about the delivery shocked me. My son said that the man making the delivery was pressuring him to give him a tip. Your adult employee (named aleksander or something of that sort) was pressuring my 10 year old son for a tip!! Ridiculous!! No excuse for having such a shitty personality towards a CHILD.
