The Deets: In a continuing search for a good pizza delivery meal this beach trip after our first try this trip did not pan out perfectly, we chose to try out a new place for us in Patronies Pizza. They do not deliver themselves but are available through DoorDash, they informed us. We chose to get all 14" pizzas, one of them their White Pizza, one of them their Supreme Pizza, and another one of Meat Lovers Pizza. Adding on some cheesy bread and mini cannolis, we locked it in. Our DoorDasher had to wait a good while for our order to get completed per app, but when it arrived we were pleased. Their pizzas have plenty of toppings per pizza, satisfying and sturdy crust (I could stand it a bit thinner/cripsier but that's just me), and each different variety tasting so good! The biggest hit of the beach house was their White Pizza, I would definitely recommend trying this one out here. The other pizzas were satisfying and tasty as well, and I enjoyed their cheesy bread. Top it off with a bit of dessert from their mini cannolis and you've got one heck of a good delivery meal for our beach trip. Choices were made with the Hawaiian Punch 16" pizza (ham, pineapple, bacon, shredded mozzarella, tomato sauce from online menu) and the Holden Beach Hammer 16" pizza (online menu described as their "everything" with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, black olives, tomato sauce). I can understand that Saturday arrival can be a busy day for restaurants doing delivery and it was explained that it would take a long while. But it was at least an hour and half or more, and the house was getting restless. The delivery person apologized for the long wait time and we appreciated that. When we opened up the two pizzas, first of all noticed they were not hot. Again, there were a lot of deliveries I am guessing but it definitely was not hot and with it being just down the road a bit, a bit disappointing. The Hawaiian Punch pizza was the one that did not really meet everyone's expectations. The crust, while thin, seemed to be a bit underdone. If I get a thin crust pizza, I do expect it to be crispy as well. Also the toppings were a bit underwhelming as well but I found the taste adequate for being hungry, I had a couple of slices. The Holden Beach Hammer pizza was more of a rectangular pizza in appearance and the crust was significantly thicker and more doughy (personally, not my favorite type of pizza crust). The toppings seemed OK but not over generous for what was described, however tasted adequate again. It may be chalked up to a very busy Saturday arrival day time, but I feel this delivery pizza experience was more around an "OK" one if anything. I am hoping to try Sorella in the future where I can get one of the Italian pasta or meal menu selections to see how they do with those.

I'm taking a point off only because for $14 the wine pour was very light. Well folks, we found out, that very next morning that Biscuitville is a delicious, reasonably priced breakfast or lunch depending upon your preference, that is a delightful dinning experience. From the well appointed, gray, black, and silver modern decor, to ordering at their counter, with multiple "yes, ma'am", and "yes, sir" to "my pleasure" when replying to your request, to the speed with which they made things happen was unique, in our experience. For instance, when we were referred to the counter to get our coffee, there was none there, while we were looking at each other as if we missed something, "Do you see it?" with a "Ah, no", unaware reply. But within one minute our fresh brewed coffee jug appeared on that very counter. Yea, that's right, a jug! With a smile and happy note of verbal enthusiasm, "freshly brewed folks, just for you, enjoy!" as she slapped the jug on the top lid. And lickidy split, our food was on the table, within 45 seconds after that; bing, bang, boom! It was a delightful human interaction from hearing about our counter Server Bradley's five-year-old daughter, who at 4:30 AM wanted to go to Biscuitville with her Mother. And her Mother's response to her daughter, "you needed to go back to bed now, honey" with a loving Mother's patience. Bradley sharing this very human morning wake up call along with the speed of service, and the delicious food gave us both a thrill for breakfast as our food was hot, tasty, and Oh..., so good. Which let's face it, is hard to pull off, because it's breakfast. So how did the biscuits taste? Good question, you baited, interested party, you! It was my first time; the service was great, the lady at the counter was sweet and suggested the ranch. Which tells me she cares, which encourages my caring! Our food came out swiftly & was delicious! I had the Limited time Sausage, cheese peppers and onions biscuit, after the first bite it reminded me of eating hotdogs with a slice of cheddar cheese when i was a kid. but elevated!!! I felt something! (Ratatouille type emotion iykyk) I thought the Biscuit compliments the other ingredients; the taste of the biscuit doesn't overtake the other ingredient specialties. I was skeptical of affordability, all my personal boxes seem to be checked, and everything seemed balanced and fair in my opinion! Lastly what really impressed me, was the overall cohesiveness in design to flow. Even the parking cones were uniform blue! I feel like that should be the blueprint of the future in different aspects in regard to tailored Fast-Food Chains. "Fast food" feels almost like a wrong category. How Biscuitville focused on our local community and builds around that shows, they intend to be here for the long haul. Its like when you go out to hunt and your lady is already prepping for the meal, knowing you'll be back with something good. So, ambiance was Steller, Biscuitville believes in Shallotte, so I hope Shallotte can believe in Biscuitville! if not, I do. In sickness and in health.
