My family and I have been coming here since it opened and have yet to be disappointed. It's my go-to place when I want a sit-down burger "experience". When she's there, the owner, Corrina, often finds time to stop by our table to say "Hi" and *always* asks about our meal and whether or not she could make it any better. The kids working the counter, bussing the tables, and delivering the food are always friendly and helpful, even when fixing a mistake. (It's a food place, folks. Sometimes mistakes are made. Judge them on how they fix them, not on the fact they occurred.) The burgers are outstanding! While I usually take mine medium to medium-rare, their medium-well patties are always juicy and well-seasoned. My wife sticks to the Plain Jane (she always calls it the "Mary Jane" which always cracks me up), sans cheese and mayo, mustard on the side. My son always gets the Mr. Bacon, also no cheese or mayo. I tend to mix it up based on my mood, but the B&B (bacon with blue cheese crumbles) is probably my favorite. It may be my favorite burger, period. When I'm really hungry I opt for the Double Trouble. If you order that, be sure you're ready for the "meat sweats." The sides are also well-prepared, especially the tater tots. My only complaint is that it can be a little warm inside during the summer months, but the ceiling fans and mobile coolers help a lot. read more

They come and serve you which is a nice detail. Lots of people working and its just a small oriented place. Food: I would say the burgers have a better authentic taste than fast food by a good margin. Seems a lot better in my opinion and I eat a lot of fast food! Enviornment: Its big inside for a local spot but small enough to feel like a good hangout spot. One thing is the tables are wobbly. Kind of annoying. Cleanliness: Overall decently clean. But like most local spots, the grease is everywhere and you can tell. The floors are cheap and looks like they are dirty but thats overall how they look. The guy responsible for cleaning is almost always cleaning. Could be better if maybe the lighting wasnt so dim but its mostly aesthetics that are looking bad. Not so much that it is dirty. Taste: as before, the taste is better than a lot of fast food. the burger had a good greasy feel but not so much that its annoying. Taste like meat and not like plastic. Fries were exceptional! I loved the fries! the seasoning on it are great! Price: overall its about as cheap/expensive as fast food but i think a little less bad for you than the plastic served at mcdonalds. Food took way too long to arrive to our table and they left out an order. Each one of us got our food in 5 min increments after another. Really bad service and no one seems to care. I don't personally live in Texas but my family does and anytime I get to visit I know I have to come to Don Burgers. Driving down the road you wouldn't know that this place is one of THE best burger places in Texas. The service is impeccable from customer service to how quickly you get your food. I have talked to the owner of the company more than once while I was there and you wouldn't even know he's the owner. He's out running food to customers, bussing tables, mopping, and even taking orders if they're too busy. Don Burger is located in a strip mall with ample parking. As you enter the establishment you smell the flavor and see the cook doing his Thang. The menu is found on the wall and this time i selected, wait for it, the double Macho Burger. It has peppers, jalapeños, cheese and i added bacon, egg and avocado. You can purchase meal or sandwich only. I can't express enough the oozing flavor to each bite. It all became a perfect gumbo of flavor. The price was 22 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks.
