Made a visit with friends for a Don's Burger night. The place is clean, open and quite large. The prices are also very reasonable for what turned out to be a high quality burger. Service was very prompt with the number system our meal was hand delivered to our table piping hot. Everyone in our group liked their choices. My wife had the "Macho" burger while I tried the more traditional Bacon Burger. Both were mighty tasty! My wife devolved into eating her "Macho" with a fork but sometimes (most times actually) all those lovely added tastes come with a cost in terms of a soggy bun. My Bacon Burger was great even if the bacon was a bit too crunchy- it's bacon! We both picked sweet potato fries (25 cents extra) and they were a hit at our table. They offer a few different choices like onion rings over the regular fries which looked very tasty too. As mentioned the prices here are pretty sweet. I recently had a $17 burger affair for solo lunch at a Plano burger place...We waddled out of Don's for $15 and change. I'm putting Don Burger in my "Top 5" until I can feast on a few of their other choices, and see if they can unseat my #1! You should try them too...Down the hatch! The service was great , the burgers were great and the price was great you can't ask for more. The only thing that I would have changed was the air conditioning was out and it was hot in there but I'm not taking points away because stuff happens. First time here. Gave it a try, Don Burger didn't disappoint. The single patty is large enough for a normal man to eat and know that it was just enough, somewhere between 1/3 & 1/2 pound. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Large dining area and clean! Great flavor and options. It's a reasonable price for what you get. I'll be back. One thought though... I'm a big fan of Swiss cheese on a bacon burger. I've learned to ask it its actual Swiss, or just processed American "white cheese". I did and it wasn't the real swiss. I was glad for the honest answer, because I'm good with cheddar, would just rather not be surprised when I learn that it's just the other, like so many other restaurants will do. Compared to the others, Swiss isn't that expensive to purchase and keep in the frig. They have a relatively long shelf life. Maybe you can get some? I am surprised I haven't posted a review of Don Burger before. Don Burger is new to the area. It has moved into what was once a bakery, or so I am told. It is spacious and can handle a fairly large crowd. The first thing you'll notice is the friendly customer service. I've been back several times and no matter who is working the register, they are patient, friendly, and easy on the eyes. You'll see the burgers being made a little to the right of the register. The beef is fresh and plenty of it. I have tried several variations and each one has been a darn good burger. It is the kind of burger you'd expect from a good backyard grill master. Bite into one and you'll see what I mean. There are other things on the menu but it is the burger I go there for. Maybe some day I'll try the chicken ... I like chicken ... but I love burgers. You have to be watching for it. It is basically on a curve so it is easy to drive by. They have a nice big sign now so if you're looking west you should see it. I am so pleased I have a go-to burger joint in my neighborhood. I don't eat greasy fries and burgers all the time. On the occasions I want good ol' American grease, Don will do me right. PS I got onion rings this time along with my fresh cut fries. I love them. These aren't the big heavily battered type, but they aren't the scrawny tough type either. They are somewhere in between. Cooked through, a bit on the crunchy side, and flavorful. Recommendation - just to see what the hubbub is about, try the Don Burger. The one in the picture is the bacon burger. read more

Not sure if it was because they rushed the cooking (if not the serving) or of this is par for them. What made it worse for me was that the fries came out room temperature. Onion rings were hotter and nicely crispy, though. Pro tip: plan to use your own hand sanitizer even though they provide it. Let me start by saying, if you want a really good traditional, nothing fancy burger, this is your place! It was delicious and the meat had great flavor. I had the Mr.Bacon with avocado added and bacon cheese fries. It did need more sauce I drenched it in ranch but that's just what I like. Fries were good but needed salt or seasoning. I wanted a good burger that was not typical franchise so this location popped up. The portion size for these burgers was great, I would say about 3-5lbs of beef per patty. For myself I like being full when I eat and these burgers get the job done. The taste of the burger and fries was also pretty good. There was a simple salt and pepper seasoning on the fries, but it complemented the burger and did not over power and of the other taste. The meat was fresh and so were the veggies they added to it. You could taste the clean and richness in each bite. The location was also very clean, not sure if it was because of the COVID going on, or simply because they like their establishment clean, but whatever the case it made me happy. Aside from the great food, the only down side might have been the difficulty in reading some of the menu items. They were on a chalkboard which fit the vibes of the business, but the colors and the custom handwriting might throw of some people hard of seeing. The menu items were fairly priced and the average regular burger was about $5. I'm a big fan of burgers, and this is definitely a location I would visit again.
