4 stars for the beautiful lakeside location but otherwise a pretty mid-experience. Food was mediocre for the price but servings were larger than we expected. I would not feel comfortable swimming here despite there being a pool - the waitresses are far more lewdly dressed than what I was prepared for - it would be akin to planning to go swimming at a hooters. If I come back, it will only be because there aren't a lot of lakeside dining options. Super cool to boat up and disembark for food that way. I was also not thrilled about being searched on my way into the bar at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Felt invasive when the bar/restaurant was otherwise empty. The bouncer was nice and let us retrieve our water bottle on our way out. I think a lot of my experience stems from the fact that I was hoping this place would be a nice, relaxing, lunch spot and it ended up being a loud, grimy, neighborhood dive bar that I was planning on remaining sober at. Just have frank expectations when you go. I'm sure this would have been awesome had I been 10x more drunk and it had been sunset. read more

Wow, what is it with having to blast Tejano DJ music so loud no can even talk sitting FAR AWAY from the music? Manager blew us off, according to our waitress (who was nice), when we asked to have it turned down A LITTLE. I remember when this place had a much less ghetto vibe. Sad. And the other male waiter who came to check on us was obviously high or something... Food sucked too. Rubbery chicken and the best part? Couldn't even get a glass of water. They want to charge $3 for a bottle of water and the waitress actually looked at me and said they don't have WATER before explaining they only have bottled, that they charge for. With so many places offering to go ACTUAL drinks I find that just plain offensive. So you can keep your water and your crappy food and vibe. I won't be back. Oh, and I forgot to add that we were CHARGED $2 extra for the gravy on our mashed potatoes on a chicken fried chicken plate. SERIOUSLY?!? That should be part of the plate. It is everywhere else. The scissor typical sports bar inside, we sat outside where they have a huge space so there's a patio with tables then a second level with more tables and actually they have a pool so I can imagine on a busy game day with the Sun out could be a fun pool party at the bar. The food was okay it was nothing special. Their onion rings were good but not the best, they did have a karaoke guy the day we were there on the dock which was fun to have some entertainment. They def have a beautiful spot that feels a bit more remote. I think you can pull your boat up to the dock so I imagine this place gets crazy at times. Just not when we were there. read more

Cool place right on the lake. Pools seem great...although I would never get in...iykyk. The food was pretty good! Nachos were delicious, fries are good, the catfish and chicken tenders looked good. Club sandwich, mozzarella sticks and burger were underwhelming. Now we were there pretty much all day for an event. We drank and ate and spent lots of money, and it was hot and humid. They don't give cups of water or cups of soda. Nope! You have to pay $3 each for a bottle of water and cans of soda! Ridiculous! Especially when we're buying $10-$15 drinks all day! And they have fountain sodas cuz they make drinks with them! Not cool! And they won't let you bring in your own water bottle! Do better! Especially when people spend good money there! read more

Food was subpar. Some fries were very salty. It was a great outdoor space and the weather was amazing. Definitely a great place to have a few drinks and relax. The waitress was very friendly and came back a couple of times to see how everything was and one gave us Easter eggs for the 2 kids. so sweet! Yuck. Yelp wants me to write more words, but yuck sums it up. We found a wire bread wrapper on a burger, mixed in with the vegetables. That's not where wire bread wrappers go! Others in our party could not eat their burger because it was burned. The place looks disgusting, including a huge fur ball in the corner. Mix in the ambience of about 20 rude kids who are enjoying stomping their feet on the fake stage making crazy amounts of noise. Fun for the kids, but the parents really should fix this. The view of the lake would be great, but there are dead palm trees from the previous winter ice storm. To top this off, a kid just got hurt when another kid pushed him out of his chair.It was pretty scary and bad food. This is a Jon Taffer Bar Rescue waiting to happen. Yuck. read more

Sneaky Pete's co-hosted a car show here 11/10. You would imagine they would step up their game on service & food for an event that brings in a lot of business right? I wish I had read reviews before sitting down & ordering. It's nuts that they don't provide free tap water but only $3 off brand bottled water. The chips & queso were as bland as they could've possibly made them. My chicken nachos had absolutely no flavor along with my friend's quesadilla which was basically the same flavorless dish but wrapped in a tortilla. My other friend ordered a salad which he said tasted "basic", & on top of this we had to flag down another server because we were never brought any silverware. The only thing we ordered that tasted halfway decent were the fries lol. An average priced beer out on the back patio is fine but save yourself some disappointment & don't order the food. EDIT: Forgot to add....if you start a tab for drinks out on the patio, you have to hunt/chase down your server to close out. No other server can help you & they won't do anything for you if you go to the bar. read more

Not recommended. I feel like I shouldn't leave a negative review as we didn't actually eat there but apparently Sneaky Pete's is sneaky on prices. We confirmed after arrival that they have a strict policy of ABSOLUTELY NO outside drinks or food (multiple signs at the entrance). That's understandable and would be fine if you could order water... which you can... for $3 a bottle! Same for tea or a can of soda (so no refills). So unless you wanna go thirsty add a minimum of $3 per person to the tab on, from what I hear, is only marginal food. We nixed it and went to a Mexican food place a few miles away. No lake view but great food and service and reasonably priced. read more

Best thing about Sneaky Pete's is the ambiance. I get the the first thing I see is a pool in the middle of the patio area, on the lake! Great vibes, cold drinks, and karaoke. I order the wings and fried pickles, which both left something to be desired, but overall a good experience. read more

Grandkids loved this place, especially the pools and for sure we will return very soon! Revisited this place yesterday after about 10 years (used to be my old stompin' ground), and it was pretty much the same however the food seemed more mediocre. But, to be fair, I choose to go there more for ambience than food. The only true disappointing part was that 2 of the 4 sand volleyball courts had grown grass and stickers, leaving only 2 open and available. In June? C'mon. I'll absolutely go back but maybe you'd have more people playing (as there used to be) if you took better care of your courts. Ps: Kaylinn (sp?) was on point and a pleasure of a server. read more

This place was good back in the day now it's just all downhill. upon walking in it's very confusing because no one greets you and it's almost empty even on a Friday so we were confused upon walking inside we got yelled at for bringing a Hydro flask in since we do not drink tapwater then proceeded to purchase six dollars just for water because they do not offer normal water. The pool on the outer deck was so murky and halfway filled. It was green with kids all inside of it upon seeing the water situation and the pool situation and being yelled at for a Hydro flask we proceeded to turn around and walk straight out the door. This has been the only restaurant that I have ran away from we drove 30 minutes to go eat here, but I did not mind running out those doors and finding a better place with good service. I assume this place would only be good if you're drunk enough to make the best out of a worse situation the ambience was dead at straight kids at least 20 of them running around everywhere. read more

Simply LOVE this place! Everything, from location to service and food! We are playing Trivia Game in Sneaky Pete at least twice a month, and that's one of my favorite places in DFW! First of all, I love the view, it's nice to stay outside during the breaks, get some fresh air, take pictures, and sometimes we even stay for live music after the game! Food is also great and service is amazing! Even though there are more than 150 people participating in our events, everyone gets served on timely manner, the food is warm and delicious, the drinks are also great! My personal favorite one is chicken quesadilla, highly recommend!!! It feels like you are not in Dallas anymore, but somewhere on a vacation at the lake house, and that's why I love coming to this place over and over again!!! read more

So many moons ago I along with hundreds of other folks would gather at this place every weekend for great food, drinks and live music. A long day on the lake it was a great place to end the night. Over a period of time things changed and this wasn't the nice relaxing place to go, food was nasty service started to suck and the great band that played stopped. Before we knew it we stopped going an when I look back that was about 10 years ago. So on Thursday 4/12/22 after being on the lake my husband asked if we could give it a try because he had never been. I was very hesitant but agreed because he had never been. OMG CAN I SAY THAT AGAIN OMG....what a difference in this place. What once smelled like ass and cat food mixed with a bowl of wet cigarettes was no longer. The place was CLEAN with wood floors fresh paint and smelled great. I was absolutely amazed by my first glacé after so long of not going here. We sat down and ordered fried pickles, nachos and chicken fried chicken. About 15-20 minutes all our food had been delivered and the portions were really big. The food was just as amazing as the surroundings. Ki pronounced Key was our server and she was AWSOME. Great work by new management I believe this will be that go to place again for hundreds of people again after what I saw. We will definitely be making this a regular spot again. read more

What happened to this place? I found Sneaky Pete's last year and thought it was a jem. Good music, drinks, friendly atmosphere, great service, even let me bring the dog. I went back today and sat outside only to get snubbed by the waitstaff. It was 100 degrees! I'm not sitting in that heat to be blown off by the staff! We went inside and didn't get much better. The appetizers never came. We told them to forget about them. We ordered a hamburger patty for the dog, we never got it. The entrees we got were dry and overcooked. We had to ask more than one waitress just for a fork. One waitress told me they didn't gave any. What?! We fed the chicken to the dog. I was going to complain to the restaurant manager, but all he seemed good for was bussing tables. They weren't that busy! Guess I'll be looking for a new hangout around the lack. Shame. read more
