I do not think I have ever eaten anything here that was not amazing! The chili verde is the best I have ever had. The tortillas on crunchy tacos are thin and crispy not thick and chewy like at other restaurants. The salsas are truly unbelievable. My friend brought me to Don Pancho's one morning after running a local 5k because it was recommended to her by a friend. They weren't busy when we walked in about 9:30 in the morning so we sat down immediately. The servers were quick to bring us drinks, chips, and salsa. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was the best I have ever had. The ingredients were evenly spread throughout the burrito and they were tasty. Don't listen to Greg H. This place is awesome. I've been here a couple times and have always great food! The owner took our order and our food came out quick. It was extremely tasty. While I will agree that the ceviche could use a little more shrimp in it, it tasted wonderful and I would totally order it again. The avocado salsa is really good and my wife's surf and turf burrito was outstanding. They also have some local beers on tap and they do taco Tuesdays. The staff all went out of their way to help us and were very courteous. You know, I read online about Yelp having people post bad reviews and then blackmailing business to pay monthly fees to get rid of them... Our group stopped by hot and hungry after a morning of hiking up at the ever-awesome Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve. Hungry as we were though, we almost skipped this place because at first it didn't even come up on the Yelp app. To make matters worse, the web version of Yelp also said "no" to alcohol. And Mexican food without alcohol is like, I don't know, pizza without alcohol. Or going to your drudge job in the morning without alcohol. Anyhow, we took a shot not seeing anything else good nearby. But walking in, the order-at-the-counter and vinyl booth ambiance didn't seem to match Yelp's "$$" designation ($11-$30 for one person to eat and drink). so again we were in a quandry. But man, we were hungry. And then we saw the beer ... Not only does Don Pancho's have beer, but they had three varieties on draft of a great local craft beer at a reasonable price from Lake Elsinore's Craft Brewing Company (which we've already reviewed favourably on Yelp). Between the beer and the free chips and the friendly service and the excellent salsa bar ... well, the food could have sucked royally and we'd still have been happy as pigs in sh*t. But the food didn't suck, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. read more

Sitting here the food is really good but they are super unaccommodating and I felt it to be super rude I wanted to get my 4 year old a shrimp taco and didn't want the spicy sauce on taco instead of replacing it with something not spicy I would have to pay for the sauce!!!! I lived in Murrieta through my high school years and my parents continue to be residents. While you are never far away from a decent Carne Asada burrito in socal, this is one of the few places that I can say wowed me with the prices and taste. The carnitas Torta was awesome and nicely priced. You certainly cant go wrong when looking for a good lunch value. Possibly the best compliment I can give however takes a little insider knowledge. Pretty good! I really like their chicken soup. Really tasty with lots of chicken! Whenever I'm in the area to try to stop by there. I always order to go just cuz the place itself is not really inviting. It just doesn't sat sit down enjoy our food. I think that's the only negative thing I have to say about the place. We came here after a long hike at the ecological preserve and were craving Mexican food. I went on yelp to find the closest tacos and found this place. We walked in and were not greeted right away and actually stood there for about 5 mins before anyone came to talk to us. There was no sign to seat yourself or to wait for the host. It was a little confusing when we first walked in. Got seated and had our drink orders taken. Then we had chips and salsa and decided to get the guacamole. The chips, salsa, and guacamole was really good. We enjoyed this very much. Because we were just back from a hike we drank our drinks very fast. We waited for our waitress to come back but she didn't. We waived down another person to get our refills. After waiting a while we order our food. The menu was very large and had great combo plates. It was really hard to decide with all the great food choices. I got the carnitas plate and the hubs got a burritos. I like that they refilled our chips and our food did come fairly quick. I think it was about 15-20 mins. Our food was good and was typical Mexican flavor. It had nice seasoning and very plentiful. Once we got our food we never saw our waitress. We again needed refills and never got them. We were not checked on or asked if we needed anything. The next time we saw her was when we got our check and we had to ask for it. I just sat there forever it seemed staring at my food and needing a box. I think the customer service can use some adjusting. Overall would I go back, not for sit down dinner but maybe for take out. If it wasn't for the poor service I think I would have rated it much higher. However please do not let our experience stop you from going. It is good food. read more

We got the chicken and carne asada tacos and it came with all the sides. The beans and rice were delicious and so was the ceviche. The tortillas were super soft and fresh. First visit...found the place using yelp since I was craving chicken taquitos. I ordered the lunch special to go. Loved the fact it came with a drink and they had orange bang. The food was excellent!! I was stuffed the rest of the day!! The reason for 4 stars was the service and the packaging of the food. I had to wait to order and there was no apologies for the wait. They were not busy from what I could tell. The takeout packaging had my individual items all mixed together when I got back to work. I don't know why the restaurant has good ratings, I have been here twice, the 2nd time by accident and both times the food was not good. The 2nd time I ordered the shrimp fajitas to go because that is the only way they serve shrimp hot and they were not good, they hardly gave me any shrimp, they gave me more lettuce and tomatoes (garnish) than anything. I paid $14 for this plate which didn't even include guacamole or sour cream. It is so inauthentic, the only way they prepare shrimp is fajita style?? Any real Mexican restaurant would have different variations of serving cooked shrimp like maybe camarones a la diabla just to name one. Don't waste your time going here. read more
