Just moved to this side of Temecula valley. Was in the mood for a cheesy enchilada. This local place just down the street from us was something we had never tried before so we gave it a try. Hubby had his usual nachos with shredded beef, I had an à la carte chicken enchilada with green verde sauce, a Carnitas tostada, the son had an Al pastor burrito and a Carne Asada taco. Everything was tasty and our server was especially friendly. Our son said this was one of the best Al pastor burritos he's had since we moved here over four years ago. My Carnitas tostada was super yummy. The chicken enchilada didn't seem to have as much sauce and cheese as I would've liked so next time I'll try the cheese enchilada. Inside was a cute little sit down restaurant next to a to- go area with a bar inside. Service was quick, personable, and welcoming. Wanna go back to try other items!! 3.5 stars

Stopped in for some good Mexican food and had to try their margaritas, so good and not from a mix. My daughter ordered a Horchata which was also fresh and amazing. The chips and salsa are always tasty and fresh along with the salsa bar to try different flavors. My favorite is always the house salsa served at every table and the green avocado salsa. We ordered the chili Colorado and asada burritos smothered in their delicious red sauce. Both burritos are absolutely amazing! And the service is friendly and fast. We love the atmosphere and will be back soon.

Don Poncho's is our go-to spot for pozole every Sunday--and it never disappoints. It's one of those decisions we never second-guess because the food is always on point. This is a true family-run gem. They're consistently busy (a good sign), but never too busy to be friendly and helpful. We usually grab our orders to-go and enjoy the comfort of their delicious meals at home--but honestly, we owe ourselves a proper dine-in experience soon. We especially love the little extras they include--like the falcons they bring out (yes, real ones... okay maybe not real falcons, but you get the idea), and the consistently great service that keeps us coming back. Highly recommend if you're craving warm, authentic pozole and a welcoming local vibe. 1996!

But people know this place for sure, here just after 1pm on Friday and it's been a constant flow. Service was very friendly and food came out quick. The inside was clean and the salsa bar had 4 salsa options including a very chunky pico de gallo. I got the NAK Burrito, since they don't have the KCC they have down in Temecula, but the NAK seems to be the staple at every location. Much like the Cali Burrito but instead of sour cream there are refried beans to accompany the carne asada, fries, guacamole, pico and cheese. The beans make this burrito dense, immediately the weight made obvious this was going to be a filling burrito. Flavor was good, carne asada had a good cook, nice chew and good flavor. Fries were cooked crispy which I definitely prefer, great texture. The guacamole, cheese and pico were pretty evenly distributed. The beans were the wild card and they held their own in flavor. If you're not a huge fan of refried beans, probably steer clear as this is definitely bean forward in flavor, but I enjoyed it. Overall the location I would give 4 stars to, but maybe it's intentional that they maintain exclusivity of a largely local clientele? Hard to find but a hidden gem. Staff were well spoken and very friendly and diligent in their performance of responsibilities, easy 5 stars. The NAK Burrito is a solid 4. Very filling if you're hungry, but does end up being bean heavy. Value... it's hefty due to the beans, and a couple dollars more than the Cali burrito which I feel would be a bit lighter but close in volume. Flavors were good so definitely keeping note on a day that I'm really hungry.

Not soggy, not sad, just crispy, cheesy greatness even to-go (which is honestly a miracle). Salsa bar is a DIY flavor playground, grab what you want, no judgment, live your spicy truth!! Parking was easy too, so no pre-nacho stress. Overall: fast, crunchy, and dangerously satisfying. Would absolutely answer the nacho call again!!

You could tell it had been simmered properly; every spoonful had layers of flavor instead of just spice. The meat was tender and plentiful, the hominy cooked just right, and the fresh cabbage, onion, cilantro, and lime brought everything together perfectly. Adding the salsas took it from great to unforgettable--each one added its own kick without overpowering the soup. This is the kind of pozole that warms you up, fills you up, and makes you slow down because you don't want it to end. Simple, authentic, and done right. I'd come back for this alone.

Hubby always has nachos- so of course he had the carnitas nachos. I had a pollo tostada and a carnitas sope. Conclusion: nice, clean fast casual restaurant, lovely people and fresh tasting food. Nachos were served in a huge mound with big pieces of juicy pork, beans, cheese and guacamole. My pollo tostada was lightly fried and packed with lots of chicken, lettuce, tomato and cheese and the sope had the same accompaniments and juicy pork. I think I preferred the tostada over the sope ( because of the base) but that's my personal preference. Will definitely add this little shop in to our taco rotation!!
