I remember how excited I was when i first heard of its opening. I got excited that there was going to be a dedicated Panaderia. My first visit was a couple of weeks after grand opening. And i have visited at least four time. All during night time. The place is always very quiet and mute, service is dismissible. The employees that I have interacted with never smile. Which is a shame, most panaderias, per say, in San Jose, are usually very positive experiences. Not here. It's like they don't want to be there. Or maybe they're just too tired, nobody likes night shifts in food service. I get it. The pricing for this pan dulce is a tad bit more pricey than most places Ive visited. Even then, I wont take away that it is good quality. I've probably had at least 1/2 their types of pan they offer. Which why I have not stopped dropping by here and there, also, my son loves the dulce cuernitos. read more

I ordered a custom cake (Frida Kahlo themed) from Don Polvoron for my birthday. The cake was a huge success. It was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully decorated!!! the flavor was tres leches, and the feeling was cream with fresh mango. Ordering the cake was very easy. I placed the order in person four days in advance. I prepared it with my credit card and I told him the time when I would pick it up. They also make large wedding cakes or cakes for any occasion. I also bought a few pastries. A traditional concha and a Pinguinos chocolate muffin. they had many different pastries as well, although I did not try them. The pastries were a solid choice and freshly baked. I noticed that many people were also eating Mexican food that they also cook at their restaurant. Parking was easy and free. They are located in the same Livermore shopping center as Target. Closer to Big 5, Tmobile and the gas station. Kind of tucked away. Lots of parking here. Tried some of their pastries. Got 3 donuts, a pound cake, a pineapple cake, and a giant palmier. All good with coffee. They also have savory items but I didn't try those this visit. A local bakery small business. Came to try their horchata latte one morning. You can definitely tell the horchata is house-made. It hits different in the best way: creamy and super flavorful. This is not your regular taqueria spot horchata. That said, I do wish it had been strained more to make it smooth. Even after mixing and swirling the drink, I kept getting chunks and grains with each sip, ended up doing more chewing than sipping, which isn't what I'm looking for in a coffee experience. The coffee itself is already chilled in a pitcher, so it's served cold and ready to go. Hopefully it was just an off day, since it's a new drink they're offering. No numbers for lineup. Easy for a senorita to "cut" in line ahead of me. Didn't know breakfast available. So didn't partake. Bites: Almohada's de queso (pillow cake 3.10) -x's on the surface. Some purée like substance in the middle mixed with queso (cheese). Interesting.. Dane's relleno (danish-ish 4) -peach & strawberry purée/jam in middle. Mex. Breading not same as danish. Not my "jam". Had a pierna guisada torta per recommendation from the worker and two conchas (pan dulce) three weeks ago in May for lunch. I thought the torta was really good! I like that it comes with a side of sauce you can eat it with. The selection of pastries was very impressive but I just settled for the pan dulce. I thought it was alright. It was pretty but tasted a bit old and dry. I think my standards are a bit high because I tried one in Cancun before and it was fantastic! I think if I heated it up it would be alright paired with a coffee to start the day. Overall this is a decent place to get Mexican pastries and a quick breakfast/lunch! Adorable new panaderia with Mexican food including tortas, tamales, flautas, pupusas, etc. They do not serve tacos and burritos other than a breakfast burrito in the morning. I'm assuming this is due to Cinco taco next-door. Went during lunch and there were several folks working and I was greeted promptly at the door. There's a few tables, but most of the food is taken to go. Oh yum love their pan! Had the upside down pineapple muffin that was so fresh and tasty. Couldn't stop myself from eating it while I waited for my Sope and pupusa. Their food is made to order and everything is very fresh. That was probably one of the best sope I've had in a while. Freshly fried dough pilled with beans, roasted pork, lettuce & tomato. I took the pupusa to go. It was perfectly made and filled with beans and cheese. Since it was meticulously made by a baker, there was no cheese spillage, resulting in no yummy crunchy fried cheese edges. The bakery is where Petra's Middle Eastern food used to be in the same shopping center as Target next-door to Cinco Taco. This is more of an upscale Panadería and the prices reflect that. read more

I stopped in during their grand opening and was warmly welcomed. They were offering samples of their sandwiches (tortas) and other treats. They had a variety of pan dulce. Great little place went today for the first time, ordered a one of their breakfast tortas, they have about 6 different breakfast tortas and about 8 regular tortas lots of choices also lots if other choices on menu,has a small eat in area I got mine togo. Torta was good definitely something different from the normal breakfast comes with hot sauce also. Of course had to get a couple of pastries while I was there their selection is truly amazing lots of choices. the friendliness, courtesy, cleanliness and good vibes of this business exceed the quality and price of the product. the flavor, texture, freshness and size of pastries was on par with those of latin bakeries i've tried over in tracy , but price was more here. prices in tracy ranged from 1.25 to 1.75, while here they were 1.60 to 3.15. Still, the sweets were superior to those of the local mexican grocery store in town. the burritos were 12$ and way smaller than at other local places. meat was very shredded on the chicken and asada, and dispersed through plentiful rice. ok tasty, but i missed the fresh taste of pico and cilantro and bite size pieces of meat. overall, the 56$ for 2 burritos and a dozen sweets was not worth it. read more

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences my family has ever had. My sister ordered a pupusa and bit into a piece of glass that was inside her food. Her mouth immediately started bleeding. It was terrifying and completely unacceptable. We brought it to the staff's attention, and instead of taking it seriously or showing real concern, they acted dismissive and unprofessional. On top of that, the service was already bad before this even happened. A short lady who works there was especially rude and had a nasty attitude the entire time. Finding glass in food is a serious safety issue. The way this was handled makes it even worse. We will never come back and strongly warn others to be careful eating here read more

The hospitality is immaculate! The food is devine and the pán is scrumptious! My husband and I got Torta Cubanas and 2 drinks. I got a carrot and OJ juice and he got Jamaica. So so good!
