The parking lot for the restaurant is very tiny. When we went we had to park on the side of the road since it was very busy and full of people. The food is great! The tacos are a good size and not expensive. The lengua and barbacoa was very soft and fell apart easily. The tripa was fried and super crunchy and I enjoyed it a lot. I also really enjoyed the chips and salsa! The sauces were a bit spicy but they were so good and paired super well with the tacos. Exceptional service. One of the most attentive breakfast experiences I've had. I stopped by El Panchito on a Friday morning around 8:30. My waitress Yessi greeted me right away and was incredibly attentive. After just a couple sips of coffee she was already asking if I needed a refill -- my cup never even made it halfway empty the entire time I was there. What really stood out was the teamwork. Even though Yessi was my waitress, the other waitresses were also checking on me as they passed by. There were about 5-6 waitresses working and everyone was constantly moving around making sure customers were taken care of. As a business owner myself, I pay attention to how places operate. I came here on recommendation of a friend. The price is right but I didn't really love the food that much. I tried the carne asada and the meat was salty and dry. Service was fast though and the servers are friendly. This place is a true hole in the wall-- the restroom had a pillow in the stall for some odd reason? I liked the rice and beans. Youngest daughter was in the mood for Tex-Mex, local tanquria style. I drove by this shack many times and suggested to daughter we should try. The waitress brought us free totilla chips and salsa with our water as soon as we sat down. The chips and salsa did not look nor tasted to be made on site. Daughter order ground beef enchilada plate with refried beans & rice. I ordered grilled beef liver with the same sides. We both were disappointed with the proteins. The ground beef of the enchiladas was course and dry, lacking seasoning. My grilled liver tasted fine but it was not de-veined. So some pieces were really chewy. The sides were the stars of the plates. The creamy refried bean was just salty enough with a hint of lard. The rice with bits of veggies was seasoned and moist. We really didn't need the proteins to satisfy our hunger, the sides did the job. Table service was attentive, friendly, and quick. The manager even stooped by to check on us. The best things about this tanquria were the prices and options. $12.50 for a three beef enchiladas plate and $10.99 for grilled liver plate were a steal. Most Tex-Mex shacks charge around $17 for a 2 beef enchiladas plate. Most Tex-Mex shacks offer no beef liver. We agreed this shack was not good enough for a return visit.. Picked up breakfast here: milenesa tortas, pastor tortas, pancake plate, and chilaquilas con verde (which I didnt think was all that spicy). everything was very tasty and affordable. the tortas bread was very soft and flavorful. the milenesa was a bit tough but i like it that way.
