The zipper on an old but beloved dress started malfunctioning (the teeth were pulling apart despite being "zipped," causing the dress to spontaneously open...), but Don came to the rescue! He quickly swapped the top zipper pull with a near identical one and made some adjustments while I waited - saving me from the cost and time of a complete zipper replacement - and now I can wear the dress again without fear of indecent exposure. :D Note: Don works out of his home, so please be sure to text/call him for an appointment and not just drop in. I brought a brand new suit to Don in December 2025 for alterations. Long story short, he lost the pants. I even went to the shop myself and dug through piles of clothes trying to help find them. They finally turned up about three weeks later. I'm writing this review months afterward because I recently discovered three holes along the seams of the pants and had to take them to another tailor for repairs. I still haven't even worn the suit. My impression is that the alterations may have been rushed once the pants were finally found. Don is a very nice guy, but unfortunately this was a really disappointing experience. read more

I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the owner Don himself has been very responsive. The problem is that his sister who's supposed to text/call me about dropping off a dress to be hemmed has been unresponsive. I've called/texted Don several times already letting him know that I haven't heard from his sister yet, and he says she will call me by EOD but I have yet to hear back from her. I'm disappointed because I really wanted to support a local family owned business and they had very good reviews, but I cannot risk dropping off this dress and never hearing back from the girl who's supposed to do the hemming. read more

Great experience!! Extremely timeline friendly, detailed, and very talented. I needed a engagement dress altered and a bridesmaids dress altered. I was extremely impressed with the price and service I received. Not only was the work extremely well done, she was able to get it out in a one week turnaround, so it was extremely timeline friendly. Bridesmaids dress: The sleeves on it were extremely loose and ill fitting, which made the entire dress feel/fit weird. She was able to identify the problem and readjust the sleeves, making the dress fit perfectly. ($25) Engagement dress: This dress I worried about because the entire top of my dress did not fit me, it was extremely big. Any wrong move bending and I would fall out of it. She was able to take in some of the bust area as well as adjust the sleeves. ($50) Other than my own wedding dress, I had no other experience with alterations and was extremely impressed with the service I received. It's a mom and pop operation, so go into it knowing that you're going to someone's house to get fitted. I'm totally ok with it, as Don has proven to know how do his work really well. He used to be a tailor for Nordstrom and decided to go on his own, kudos to him for that! So far he has done the following for us: 1. Re-soled my husband's favorite dress shoes 2. Fixed a zipper on one of my back packs 3. Tailored a formal romper of mine that was way too long, and the back zipper had awkwardly stuck out like a tail. He shortened the back zipper to get rid of the "tail" and did a great job. 4. Tailored a new suit my husband bought, both the pants and jacket Don was fast, efficient, and friendly. Don is a life saver, I bought an over the shoulder bag from Nordstrom last year, and the zipper broke, but when I brought it over to them, they said they only do clothings and not accessories, so I got recommended to Don, while I discovered Don on Nextdoor a few weeks back, but the post got deleted for some reasons, but with a few clicks on Google, I found him again, I called and stopped by to meet him, showed him the bag, he did it on the spot for me in less than 15 minutes, looking brand new again, if anyone has any kind of issues with their jacket, uniform or backpack like me, you know where to find him, his shop is humbling small, but the quality he put in his work is amazing, he's very busy, make sure you call and make an appointment with him.
