Ordered a sub tray from Dons. This was the first time eating anything from here. It was well worth the price. We got a large tray which is six subs cut into thirds. Each piece came individually wrapped is butcher paper and labled. The order came with a container of delicious pickle spears, a ton of them, and a variety of mayo and dressing packets. The sandwiches were loaded with meat and just the right amount of shredded lettuce and thinly sliced tomatoes. The staff were super nice even though they were oobviously very busy when I picked up. I'm excited to try more of their offerings. This is our new sub shop. read more

Ordered sandwiches a couple of times for take out. The first time I ordered the Caprese Chicken which I rate as an 4/5 as it needed a tad more vinegar and oregano for flavor. My most recent sandwich was the Roast beef and Vermont cheddar sub with tomatoes and lettuce, oil and vinegar. This was a 5/5! The roast beef was extremely good, tender and flavored well. The portion of meat and cheddar was perfect! The hoagie bun held up well. Would be a nice spot for lunch when the weather is good as it has outside seating. read more

Meh... We were on our way back to the Pittsburgh Airport from Cleveland and wanted to get some sandwiches for the plane. We ended up getting a hot one to eat immediately and a cold one to take on the plane. The hot one we ordered was the sausage stuffed pepper one. It was very tasty - but the ratio of (too much) bread to filling was off... We got the buffalo chicken one (cold) for the plane, I specifically asked for no onions and the nice lady even repeated it, but guess what?...onions were included...and for some reason it was very WET when we opened it a couple hours later (the lettuce maybe?) - the butcher paper had leaked completely through and then through the napkins, luckily we had asked for it to go in a plastic bag, or it would have been even messier. It wasn't very "buffalo chicken" tasting, but fine - and again too much bread for filling. read more

In my opinion one of the top sandwich spots in western pa. Portions sizes are huge, quality meats. We have tried the Ruben, Rachel, and buffalo blue so far. Thoroughly enjoyed all of them, very filling. A tad pricey, but worth it in my opinion. read more

The best option for good deli I've found in Beaver! Super fresh sandwiches made on breadworks with boarshead meats. Lots of options, all really good. Totally clean interior and I like the owner- she's clearly a nice woman and made me feel like I was right at home! She made the Italian dressing to order which gets 1,000,000 bonus points. Anyone can make a tall deli sandwich, just take bread and add a pound of meat. At Don's, you get the size, but also amazing combinations that most could never dream up. We visit Beaver occasionally and visiting Don's is always on my to-do list. It's hard to find a great deli sandwich. There are 5 of us and were always happy with our choices. The staff and owners are super friendly and make a heck of a sandwich, complete with pickle spear. Quality ingredients and a ton of meat- no complaints. You get what you pay for here. I went with the NJ Sloppy Joe, a double decker sandwich with huge piles of ham and turkey with coleslaw and Russian Dressing. Big sandwich with great taste on Rye Bread. My wife went with the Turkey Rachel. Also a generous helping of turkey on a big sandwich. They have interesting meat and cheese plate options. Very nice staff. Been here many times and it's always good. The owners are really friendly, fun and accommodating. In noncovid times there are unique events and they have special menus during town festivities. Tonight they made us sandwich platters to take to theatre in the park, and they were terrific; a variety of generous fillings, good bread and lots of condiments on the side. This is a great place for lunch!! Their sandwiches are big on a hoagie roll. That's too much food for us so we had the "kids @ size which is just a regular size round roll. They serve boars head meats so you know you can't go wrong. Big selection of meats and cheeses to choose from. I asked for cole slaw on mine and that was no problem and they didn't charge extra for it!!they have tables outside off the main strip and in the shade. Perfect spot for lunch!! read more

So very good. Seriously. The bread is fantastic. The meats and cheeses are great. As far as I can tell you can buy everything they use to make their sandwiches right there in the store so if you liked that sauce it's over there and if you like that cheese it's right here. They have some great Dr. Browns sodas including the elusive yet delicious celery soda (totally worth it!) The staff is also very good. They know their food. Nice place for a sandwich. The bread was really fresh and the meat is top quality Boars Head. They really stuff the sandwich so bring a big appetite. They do meat and cheese by the pound as well but not much else so I would not call it a full service deli like they have in NY. With that in mind, the sandwiches are made like a NY deli and you will not walk away disappointed. My only gripe was they advertised Italian stuffed banana peppers which sounded great but they were not ready at 1:00 PM. Found that odd and disappointing. read more

I tend to only review places I really like. This is one of those places. Excellent sandwiches. You can really tell they take pride in the ingredients they use. Great bread, excellent meat, fresh toppings. The dining room was clean, the service was fast and excellent. Prices were on par for what you get. A little more expensive than a chain sub shop or convenience store but far higher quality and well worth it. I'm in Beaver often and intend to stop here for lunch every time. read more

As a man who loves delicatessens, this one was a rather big disappointment. Sandwiches and sides were slim on variety. The sandwich I did choose had far too much meat that did not compliment each other. Not enough options for toppings and the bread was a bit stale. Snacks and beverages were not replenished. Staff who waited on me was very impolite. For me, I would have overlooked the other shortcomings if staff were nicer. The environment seemed as it were slapped together. Walls had tape on them and the patch up jobs were not cleanly finished. The temperature was very cold, to the point that everyone had to put on their jacket.
