Update to previous review. After the replacement glass was found at another vendor, we come to find out that the glass wasn't any good. So back to square one, the other glass was still on its way to the shop. I came to a compromise with them. I'll bring my car to them in Manteca from Tracy, but I needed a ride back to my house. They dont normally do rides that far out, which is understandable. Do to the circumstances, they agreed. We ran into another snag when the vendor emailed Wednesday morning saying that they wouldn't have the glass until the afternoon, therefore not reaching the shop until Thursday morning. Trina advocated for me and basically said that is unacceptable, and to have the vendor call her as soon as the glass made it to them, and she would send a tech to go pick it up so that it would not delay me in picking up my vehicle Thursday morning. I got a text from Trina Wednesday afternoon letting me that FINALLY my vehicle was done. They really turned a bad situation around. Special shout out to Lupe, Trina, Freddie, and Ryan. Lupe-I really do apologize for you receiving the brunt of my frustration. Trina-Thank you for advocating for me and getting my vehicle completed within the promised time. I was very impressed with the customer service at Don's mobile glass. I was specially surprised when I took my really big piece of glass in there to be cut to a much smaller piece & I also needs the edges beveled. I was prepared to pay for their services, just like I had at another glass shop, 4 similar services. Yesterday, on my way to Tracy, I had a huge rock hit the windshield of my new car. Right away, I knew to call Don's Mobile Glass in Manteca as we had used them before. However, I forgot to call when I got home. So, this morning I called them around 9 am, and Freddy answered the call. He was very friendly, informative and eager to help me. He said he was sorry, but they probably wouldn't be able to get to me until tomorrow. I expressed my concern about the heat and that it might run across the windshield. At that point, Freddy asked to wait wait just a second and he would double check . He was back on the call quickly telling me that, he himself, would actually be able to come out and fix it between 1 and 5. He was here at 1:30, and fixed it quickly and was very friendly and professional. We usually use Don's for most window repairs, and we will continue to do so! We have used Don's Mobile Glass for many windshield crack repairs & broken windshields. We work with MIKE, what a great guy!!! Mike is so Helpful, Polite, Experienced & Funny! He always gets the job scheduled & the tech out to do the replacements at the date/time stated. Mike has done a few crack repairs and you can even find the spot! We are very happy with Mike & Don's Mobile Glass. I would never recommend this company. The Manteca store replaced my windshield and I believe they broke the plastic moldings at the bottom corners. They also scratched the paint. I was hurried out of the store by friendly people and did not notice a problem until the moldings were flapping loosely while I drove down the street. No one mentioned there had been a problem, if they had I might have even ignored it, but they didn't. I called and took the car back. I was told the moldings can't be replaced properly, they're only tight on a new car, and with my permission they were attached with epoxy. Only one of the two is actually in the right place. I was told they would order paint and call me to fix the scratch. They didn't, so I just went in to ask. I spoke with a technician because the manager wasn't in and he got the vin number to order the paint (apparently no one did earlier). I was told I would be called in a couple of days. I was called a week later. They had trouble getting matching paint and it took a while. They did the touch up today. I was told it should only take 30 minutes and they would call me when they were done. I called after 4 hours and was told my car was finished a few hours before and they didn't know why I wasn't called. The paint does not match and it was poorly done. One molding is still loose and I was again told they can't possibly attach it better. They offered to have some guy they know try again on the paint, I turned them down. I was then told I was welcome to go elsewhere and give them an estimate. Save yourself a whole lot of frustration and follow up appointments and just go elsewhere. *** After double checking I want to say the color match is not their fault, they did use the color recommended by, and ordered from, the car manufacturer. read more

Earlier this year I stopped by to inquire about some window replacement screens. The originals were missing when I purchased the home. I liked what I was told and planned on returning to get the work done. Today I returned but the service was a complete opposite of my first encounter. I drove from Tracy with my measurements and after a few minutes with the window tech I left. I noticed a sign as I entered the showroom that help was wanted. l said amen to that. Just recently had my first experience with Don's. I was not impressed. I gave two stars because all of the people that I talked to were extremely nice, but the quality of the work was not great. I had my windshield replaced on December 16th, 2014. This was the day before the storm hit. The next day (Dec. 17th) I leave work and get in my car to find out the entire passenger seat is soaked as well as the floor all the way to the back seat. Don's was already closed so I waited and called them. I work Wednesday through Sunday and when I called I asked if they could come to my job to fix this, but they had to come to my home. I am not off work until 6 PM so I had to wait an entire week (of course while it's pouring rain) for my windshield to be fixed. I had to replace my floor mats as they were carpet and completely soaked through and they smelled like mildew. I also had several things on the floor of my car including two books that got destroyed. My appointment was Monday the 22nd to fix the window and no one showed so I called and rescheduled it to Tuesday the 23rd. Tech showed up right at the end of the time window (they sent the same tech that messed up the first time) and used some type of glue to fix it. As he was finishing up he said "Let's hope this works!" Not very reassuring. It is supposed to begin raining soon so we will see if it holds up. Again, people were great but really bad quality. It's a shame I had to spend more money to get new floor mats and vacuum out the inside of my car due to the excessive amount of water when this issue was not my fault. I expected better. read more

We've had many a windshield chip repaired in the past, even had the mobile service visit me when I worked in Dublin. No hassles, very good customer service. We are remodeling our bathroom and have a 35x48 mirror in the hall bath, installed when house was purchased in 1977. We wanted to save it, have it cut and framed with the same wood/color of the cabinets being installed, so we called them to see how much it would cost to trim. They told us under $10.00, since it was our own mirror. We brought it down, very friendly people. It was done in one day, and they didn't charge us! Also, one of the employees suggested we check the inside finish of the mirror frame, if it's unfinished you will be able to see this in the mirror. He said you can take a black magic marker and darken the unfinished side, this will take away the reflection. What a good deal we got, saved us a few bucks! This Manteca store has shower doors displayed in their showroom. Add them to your list if you're calling around for glass or mirrors. read more

This yelp review is long over due! I had my glass replaced in July last year and the company did not service my area. However they recommended a company that did and I told them the company they recommended did a poor job twice so I will not go with them. I was just planning to go to my dealership and get my car windshield replaced since I had a horrible experience with a company that does multiple tv ads. Not only did they did a horrible job twice with my car but twice with my husband's car. My Allstate office mentioned Don's service and I decided to drive nearly 60 miles from my home to get my windshield fixed and Don's mobile service met me at the Allstate office, got me lunch and drove me to my eye appointment and picked me up! They even calibrated the car for me too!!! Tiffanie, Jose and Jacque were an AWESOME team and I will ALWAYS give them my business FOREVER. It has been 3 weeks since my home was broken into. If this wasn't depressing enough, Don's Mobile Glass has made me feel like a nuisance and an inconvenience to their business. 3 weeks in, and I still do not have an accurate quote for the services I need provided. Vanessa took my order over the phone and sent the wrong guy out to measure for frame and window (1 day wasted for me). Melissa gave me two inaccurate quotes via email, and although she told me she would contact me 'same-day', she took 4 days to respond to me. I am now at home, waiting for someone to take additional measurements. They should have been here between 8-12. It is 12:23...no one has called or anything.
