We went here looking for a spot for brunch but we were met with some of the prettiest donuts I've ever seen. The smell of sweet, sugary goodness hits you when you open the door. There's not much seating but I don't think people come here to sit but they definitely come here first the yummy goodness. We let other customers ahead as we gazed at everything. There was nothing gluten free on the menu at the time but the owner assured me that when his wife returns from maternity leave, that I should expect some! A customer told us that she was just there previously for her kids but that she was buying herself treats as an early bday gift and told my sister that she had to try the banana pudding donut (pictured) and of course she did. She ate it before I took her home. 10 out of 10

We preordered a cronut sampler box after missing out a few times (I'm so bad with remembering preorder dates)! This weeks flavors were banana cream, ube, peach brulee, and key lime. Ordering online was a breeze and I checked before we left on where I was going so I knew what to look for! The gentleman working the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was tempted to get another few doughnuts to try their "regular" ones but I controlled my urges and stuck with the cronuts. I'll definitely be back to check out the selection. The cronuts are exactly what I hoped for - insanely flakey, tons of filling, perfectly crispy but soft in the center. All of the flavors were well described and they portions are pretty sizeable! I'll definitely be back to try a few more things (especially since I know what to expect now)!

I love coming here in the mornings and so excited for them to start stocking local coffees! The donuts are amazing, but they sell out quickly on weekends, so go early! The staff is amazingly kind and always happy to tell you about everything they offer! I need to come back for the bread.

We have wanted to come by and try the donuts here for a while. You definitely want to come early as they sell out quickly and many people pre order especially on weekends and holiday weekends. The owner was very patient and even gave the kids the opportunity to personalize their donuts by adding different icings and sprinkles. I personally felt like everything was very sweet but the rest of my family thought they were delicious- especially the cinnamon sugar cronut.

The original donut connection will say "permanently closed" on Apple Maps due to the unit being a different restaurant but you'll find that the donuts are located inside the Philly Cheesesteak restaurant of the same plaza at the corner unit. I was in the mood for mochi donuts or cronuts but the cronuts already sold out for the day and there's a backorder on the ingredients to make the mochi donut. Nevertheless, I wasn't going to leave empty handed so chose the apple cider donut, lemon filled, and was hoping for a maple donut to which the gentlemen freshly glazed some!! They have a selection of donuts that are ready to be frosted and sprinkled so next time I'll speak up to see what else they can glaze bc I didn't want to hold up the line any longer. Very popular donut shop with a fast moving line. The gentlemen was the only one working so kudos for keeping the line going while filling orders and processing payments! The donut itself was fluffy, my boyfriend loved his maple glazed one but to me the glaze had a waxy texture. I loved my apple cider donut, great with the sugared edges and paired great with a cup of coffee at home.

When I asked on Facebook about where to get a king cake locally the overwhelming response was Donut Connection! So glad I followed the recommendation, absolutely delicious!

I'd wanted to try this place for a long time but it's a bit of a drive from my place. Since I had to be in the area, perfect time to order. Definitely order ahead of time! They are super busy and favorites go fast. First, the sign on the outside says Philly Cheesesteak so maybe that is what was previously in location. Easy to get in and out of parking lot. My first thought entering the shop was holy cow they need to clean the entrance. They have so much equipment and supplies crammed into their shop. They honestly could concentrate on a few flavors and not try to be all things to all people. Compared to other shops, their prices are reasonable. I preordered Strawberry & cream croissant, cinnamon roll and lemon filled paczki. The flavors were everything people have raved about. My favorite was the croissant...not too sweet, pastry was flaky with the perfect amount of crunch. Strawberries were fresh and the cream was delicious. I devoured before I even got out of the parking lot. Definitely worth making the trip.

I don't know about the review 22 days ago, but the website is invalid and the place is completely empty even though yelp says it should be open Sunday April 13. There is barely anything in the store and emergency lights are on.

Very much a hole in the wall donut shop! My fiancée was excited to see pork roll was on the menu so we had to give it a try (she's from New Jersey). I was very excited to taste the amazing donuts I see all over the Facebook page! The service was great. The pork roll would have been better if it was on a bagel instead of the sourdough. The person who took our order informed us he was running a little behind today and apologized. Sourdough was all they had at the moment. I think for the pork roll, egg & cheese with ketchup, salt & pepper, the sourdough just got soggy very quickly BUT the quality of ingredients & the amount of stuff on the sandwich was perfect. Defines get what you pay for! It was not skimpy in any way. I also enjoyed the apple fritter. I wanted to try a few donuts but we decided we will be back to try the pork roll on a bagel & I'll grab a donut next time.

This place is just delightful! The building has no signage for donuts at all--you'd think you're walking into a Philly cheesesteak place. But then you walk in and there's a donut case staring at you! This is the only place I know that sells Mochinut. The whole experience is delightfully quirky, but then there are the actual donuts--which are delicious. I got an assorted selection and had trouble deciding which to eat! We bought them and headed to the beach, enjoying them along the way. The people here are also great--super friendly. I will absolutely keep coming back (especially for those Mochinuts)! Parking: Plenty of parking, just make sure you're on the lookout for a Philly cheesesteak sign instead of a donut sign.

This is a tough review to write. The doughnuts I had here were pretty good, and definitely they had a few interesting options like donuts made with mochi. But virtually none of the basics were available and I was here at 9 AM on a Saturday. The place is so very strange, it's also a pizza shop or deli of some sort? It has tables inside but it's a train wreck, no way are you sitting down; they had a drink cooler that was empty. And the kitchen looks like pure chaos, and frankly I saw the tubs of donut toppings totally uncovered and the whole area was covered in splatter from it, which was bad enough but I saw a few flies in there too and all I could think of was these flies being all over the donut toppings. The staff was super nice and I liked my donuts, they were the puffy, not cakey, variety. Coffee claims to be the best in the world, it was basic gas station coffee which is actually pretty fine, it wasn't acidic, but it wasn't very flavorful either. If this place got their kitchen together and just spent a day organizing the place, picking up, cleaning up, etc. it would go a long way to making it feel more comfortable, and the other way to get to the full fix stars is to expand the menu to include staples like glazed and jelly filled and custard filled. Truly great donuts that are step above the rest. Chris is wonderful and was patient and helpful in getting us the prefect donuts. Would highly recommend!

One…read morething I always appreciate right off the bat is that they offer an outdoor patio that's pet-friendly -- huge bonus for anyone who likes to bring their pup along for coffee runs. This visit was a drive-thru order for us. They did let us know they were pretty busy, which is totally understandable, but I will say the wait was a bit on the longer side before we got our drinks. As for the coffee itself -- my husband ordered a decaf latte with tiramisu syrup, and unfortunately the flavor fell a little flat. He mentioned it tasted very weak overall, and the tiramisu didn't really come through at all. I ordered a decaf latte with cookie dough syrup. Mine was decent -- the coffee itself tasted good -- but similar to his, the syrup flavor didn't quite match what I expected. It didn't really give that cookie-dough taste, just a light sweetness. Price-wise, it came to just under $15 for one medium decaf latte and one large decaf latte with syrups, which feels pretty fair for specialty coffee drinks. Overall, not a bad stop -- especially if you're looking for a pet-friendly coffee spot with a patio -- but I do wish the flavored syrups had been a bit stronger and more true to taste. I'd be open to trying them again and exploring other flavors on the menu.

They also have delicious pastries, and I recommend their red velvet cinnamon roll. I liked their indoor seating area, where I got some work done; the noise level was decent and not distracting. My only feedback is that the drive thru could be managed better. A barista was attending to us at one point at the drive thru window and later forgot us... Another stepped in and asked if we had been helped yet, which we hadn't. Otherwise, it's a great coffee shop in Goose Creek!

Meeting up for a coffee date I got to Magnolias a little early to settle in. The place is interesting and seems authentic, not like those damn yuppy and pretentious coffee shops with the late 90s liberal sitting in the corner writing the next "great American novel." No, this is a place pregnant ladies come with their family to get some coffee and what appears to be really good food. The place has nice wood tones on the floors and tables with simple seating and fake plants, which I can appreciate b/c I too have fake plants at my house b/c I kill live ones! As for the staff, they're prompt and receptive of what you want to drink as well as giving suggestions. I got there when a much younger late 20 something was working so I tried to spark up a conversation. The young lady looked American, blonde and cute but when she spoke pure Latino! Oddly enough I was meeting a 33-year-old Latino for our first date here (yes, I brushed up on my Spanish, but I just moved from Austin so np here). She was a nice lady but she did forget about my drink order so not as good of a barista as one might desire. But honestly, I was superficial at the moment and she was cute so I overlooked the imperfection. The case had some tasty looking treats like croissants but I refrained. My advice is try one! While I'm a medium roast coffee kind of guy and I like my coffee like the women I date; hot, sweet and blonde. I vary my selection by what I'm in the mood for, sometimes latte, sometimes hot or iced, sometimes mocha, you get the drift; and yes I'm talking about coffee (get your mind out of the gutter). But what I do appreciate is creativity in a beverage and a joint with the courage to put a creation on their menu, Magnolias doesn't have that as they're more straight forward. Instead I opted for the latte with 2 shots caramel, 1 vanilla and one toasted marshmello; try it you'll thank me later. I just wish they had more options like almond. Oh to add, I ordered my date a latte and she acted as if it was water and downed it in 5 minutes, so much for sipping and enjoying. In summary, Magnolia's coffee is really good with what looks as great food. Add to that they create an environment where one can feel safe while sitting inside or just stopping by for a quick interaction with nice employees while waiting for food and it's a recipe for success. While I didn't sample their "edibles" (how's my parking?) they looked wonderful. To finish, the employees are great people, the ambiance is fun and the coffee is great. Stop by if you want something good to pick yourself up or rub elbows with a future leader of America.

Give me a McDonalds with from the 80s with an exterior that dared to be unique, not part of the 1984 (read the book) agenda. This brings me to Summit coffee; I absolutely hate the exterior. Devoid of life, soul and any unique presence. However, I'm not really here to write about a drab exterior but coffee! Let's go inside, shall we? Summit coffee establishment is located is on the outskirts of Nexton proper, easily accessible by foot and with a sterile atmosphere. One oddity I noticed is the place doesn't smell of coffee, which I found interesting. Sadly the inside is as lifeless as outside. It looks like a they paid a cleaner to remove all vestiges of life while only leaving a spec here or there to meet a quote. Ok, enough with aesthetics as I've complained enough, The staff is quick to help out and offer good suggestions when they're asked. Being a former comedian, I tried to whip up some jokes to compensate for my utter boredom, the ladies were nice enough to laugh. Needless to say, the women here had a heart. They made good suggestions but I was curious why their pastry display only had like a handful of items, did they make them or get them from the grocery store? I don't know but I was only here for coffee. I did like some of the creativity - a banana creampie latte - sounds like something.... Nevermind but all props for creativity. Birthday cake latte didn't sound good for the waistline but another attempt at creativity - I love it! But I opted to go for my own flavor. A lack of options for addins, I mean literally no hazelnut, almond etc. Well, I did the best I could - Latte with 2 shots caramel and 1 vanilla. I can honestly say it was "mid" at best. The roast didn't resonate while the lack of options made it feel so generic like I couldn't play the part of an evil scientist mixing a crazy concoction. But it beats McDonalds. Oh, they do have "the world's best granola" which I made several jokes about, even encouraging other customers by saying "if you were in France and ordered granola, they would talk about Summit's granola, after all it's the world's best!" Yes, I was being the overfriendly annoying customer, b/c I was bored. At least there were some laughs. Sadly, there's nothing about Summit that stands out.
