Yummy glazed donuts. Like Krispy Kreme but bigger and we all know classic glazed KKreme does a solid.

Placed conveniently in downtown San Mateo, I have felt I found a gem inside downtown. The donuts are fresh, as the sign advertises, but they are a bit bitter. I think it has to do with the type of oil they use. The price is about $3 per donut and they do not speak plain English, yet they are very kind. Overall since I don't buy sweats too often, I have a very high bar for my donuts and I don't think I buy from them again. May be just another time

if you are craving for good, soft, tasty donuts, your search is over, this is the right spot! I bought from them twice and in both cases I absolutely loved what I have got. My favorite are the apple fritters, so thick and juicy, with a slight cinnamon after taste that is absolutely superb. I was helped in both occasion by the same sweet old gentleman, that in both cases gave me an extra donut for free. Pricewise absolutely reasonable! I can't wait to go back.

Great place if you want to satisfy your donut cravings! It is right to Philz which is great because you can have a nice cup of coffee with your donut. I arrived here around 4-5 pm and they had a good selection of donuts left. I got one glazed donut, one maple donut, and 12 donut holes. The donut was soft, sweet, and delicious. It melted in mouth and I have to say I was not expecting it to taste that good. Great quality and great service! The owners were really sweet and funny!

This place was hot inside when you walk in. It is a small shop with a classic sign outside. There is a selection of doughnuts and sandwiches plus drinks. I got a maple glazed old fashioned doughnut. It was very fresh tasting with a dense , thick quality to it and it was moist. The doughnut holes were fresh too. Polite employees.

I passed by this donut shop many times and have not gone in . I decided to go in and check out what they have since I had some time to kill. To my surprise they have all the donuts that an old fashioned donut shop would have! I got my plain old fashioned donut, red jelly donut, maple donut, coconut chocolate donut and chocolate bar. My total bill was $8 something. These donuts are really made fresh! The dough was light and fluffy just like a pillow. I would highly recommend you come in and check this place out. If you are in the San Mateo area on B street grab some fresh donuts to go!

    Sunday morning vibes

Coffee, donuts, and lotto all in one place. There's even a lottery ticket vending machine up in here. This place does brisk business on a Sunday morning. I had a hankering for a donut and after having walked by so many times, I finally decided to stop in and try their goods. My donut was fresher tasting than I expected. It was light and fluffy and paired so beautifully with my coffee yum! I think they get enough business here that the donuts don't manage to get stale. Lots of people coming in and out and it's kind of fun to see what everyone chooses for their fix be it bear claw or donut holes. The man sitting next to me was having cheesecake for breakfast! Nice! I was surprised to see they also serve breakfast sandwiches and a full on breakfast plate with pancakes and bacon/sausage for very reasonable prices. This is a good place to go if you want something quick to grab and go but there were a decent number of tables to sit at to enjoy a more leisurely pace. Coffee is self-serve. Only negative is each time I've come either the coffee I wanted was running low or they were low on half and half so they could do a better job making sure their coffee station gets some more attention. It could just be my bad luck though that they always seen to be out of something when I stop by. When I let them know, the employees were happy to refill said item.

I'm addicted to Donut Delight Cinnamon Roll! I can't get enough of it!

I've got this major addiction to carbs. If you can relate, then you know what I mean. Donut Delite's Cinnamon Rolls and Twist are insanely, really good. They taste so fresh. And when you come here early in the morning, they are still warm. Also, I really love their customer service. It's family owned. Everyone is always so cheerful! Plus, they sell LOTO and provide customer parking. Until then, be kind to one another and Cheers! ~ :p

Overall, I'll come back for a sweet treat. I think service at this one was better than the other cause just less customers.

We stood in line to order for about 20 min, and everyone told us it was worth waiting on! It turned out to be VERY true! The food was out of this world, the donuts were SUPER yummy and we the service was wonderful! I can only speak for my plate, but I ordered the "Amazing Breakfast Sandwich" and it was DELICIOUS!!! Let me break it down for you: 1. The bread was sourdough - but it was SO MOIST and SQUISHY! Unlike your harder, toastier sourdough bread. 2. the turkey bacon and cheese were tasty and hearty on this sandwich 3. the arugula was fresh and added a clean taste to the bite 4. The garlic aioli was the PERFECT sauce to go on this sandwich. It gave it the aromatic flavor it needed! (I took off the fresh tomato due to allergy!) I still think about this sandwich!!! The hashbrowns were good, they were a solid choice. They make it on the crunchier side which I LOVE! Pictured there are the cinnamon bun and the maple cake donut, which both were SO GOOD - especially the cinnamon bun. The bun was a perfect balance of the cinnamon, glaze, brown sugar and dough. The maple donut was comparable to some of my favorites! The donut dough was not my favorite, but the maple glaze made up for it! I topped off my meal with an iced tea! :) I want to go back to San Francisco JUST for this breakfast again! Highly!!! Recommend!!!

I went back inside and was immediately given a fresh old fashioned. The glazed cruller was ok, but it had an artificial (custard) flavor that I found a little off-putting. I had purchased two "chocolate" cruller. The glaze on this donut was NOT chocolate. The glaze tasted absolutely artificial, overly sweet and probably a health hazard. I ate just the underside of one of these donuts and threw the rest away. Sadly, the workers had not bothered to change the frying oil in a long time, so even the fresh old fashioned donut from this place, which was relatively inoffensive, suffered from an ever-so-slightly rancid flavor. The coffee was solid and they offered a lot of different options for it, such as milk and cream as well as the usual nasty French vanilla "creamer," which is the only reason that Chucks gets a second star. This business owner should radically restructure their business model to include quality over cost-cutting, because they would do better to use clean (and not soybean) oil, real ingredients without artificial flavorings, and authentic chocolate instead of whatever unpalatable garbage I experienced. They offer all kinds of superfluous menu items and they should really consider making better donuts. If I hadn't exchanged the first donut, I would have wasted money on 3 out of the 4 donuts. It is telling that rather than selling out, this business had inventory left from the day before, and they tried to sell it to me. Stan's donuts in Santa Clara often has to close early because they sell out hours before their 3PM closing time, and they don't do this disgusting quality compromise.

While photos of their SF location suggest some seeing, this OG location is pretty much pickup/delivery only: a fairly literal hole in the wall, located along a random quiet street. Most folks would probably opt to take home or eat at one of the "nearby" parks, but we've gotten in the habit of just eating in the car, which... not so great for something as messy as birria lol. I'll say that for most folks, this would probably easily be more a 4 star spot, while for us, it's more a 2 star since we're unlikely to come back. That's not to say the food was bad: on the contrary, the flavors were quite good, and the consomme was less salty than some of the others we've tried. But their food is HEAVY. Not just the birria itself, but also the burrito we got, and heavier than other places we've been for some reason, with the birria sitting in a pool of oil soon after we picked it up. This probably isn't a deterrent for most people though, so take this as you will. Accessibility: Not too relevant since this is really just a pickup spot, with the pickup window being at the usual height you'd find elsewhere.
