I ran into this doughnut vendor at the Lane Field Park Market on Sundays that run from 10 am till 4 pm. They specialize in making mini doughnuts but with a twist because they come with some fine toppings. For example, I had a half dozen of the Nutella Minis and a half dozen of the Home Style Maple Minis for $7. I loved both of them but my favorite was the Nutella Minis. The doughnuts had a light crisp edge and sift warm center. The Nutella tasted great with them, and the powdered sugar and chopped peanuts added to their goodness. The Maple doughnuts came with just enough maple syrup, as to not make them overly sweet but to give that maple affect. They were tasty and the butter and powdered sugar gave them that sense of eating pancakes or French toast. Both minis were great eating with a nice cup of coffee. I'm a big fan of freshly made mini-donuts. Love their crispy exterior and soft interior. This stand offers a variety of creative toppings to really liven up the game. Smores: A bunch of freshly made mini donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar then covered in flavorful toppings. For this smores option it was chocolate sauce, marshmallow sauce and graham cracker crumble. The marshmallow sauce was particularly disappointing. I was hoping it'd be thick and sticky like fluff, but it was runny like chocolate syrup. Didn't taste or feel very marshmallow-y. They traveled from San Diego to Westminster for our wedding! His team had masks and face shields on. Also, they added shields on the donut cart for everyone's safety. They cook on site and everyone was able to watch them cook from start to finish. Everyone raved about how delicious all the donuts were! A lot of my guests got all 13 flavors to try! FYI- the churros are too, but we decided to just have the mini donuts at our event. I first found Donut, Hello back in 2019 while looking for a dessert vendor for my hotel (I am a Catering Manager) and quickly booked them for my own 2020 wedding. I am so glad we did! They had everything we were looking for in a dessert vendor- mini donuts that had so much flavor (not too doughy), had specialty flavors, an interactive station & all donuts made on-site, and the cutest set-up of all time! Our wedding was a travel theme with Parisian influence and the bicycle set-up was absolutely perfect for this. I am all about making everything look above and beyond (hate the standard pop-up tents and tables) and hosting not just an event, but an experience. I ended up having to postpone my wedding twice due to COVID-19, but Paolo and team were so understanding and easily switched our dates for us. I am so grateful they were still available for our new dates. We finally had our special day on May 16, 2021. We were blown away with Donut, Hello and so were all my guests. They are still talking about them months later! My only regret is that I didn't spend enough time at the station during my wedding (duty calls, right?), but I was able to have some and even share them with our band. OMG YES. SO MUCH YES. When I was in Greece, I fell in love with something called Loukoumades. Essentially, these are deep fried donuts covered in cinnamon sugar or nutella. Since I've been back in San Diego, I've been looking for something similar- and these come super close! We got the nutella mini donuts, a dozen, for $7. They were fresh from the fryer, with a good crisp outside. While they were tasty, I was disappointed by the way the nutella was put on.
