We were passing by to Rosemary Beach and Donut Hole was at road side, we decided to get some donuts as end of our Panama Beach trip. The line was long, we waited about 15 minutes to be able to select donuts. There are plenty of choices for donuts. We had Devils Food, Blueberry Filled, Dutch Crumb, Glazed, Plain. All the seats are for eating in customers, so we ate our donuts at our car. The donuts tasted really good, they are among the best that I had, creamy and rich. Who doesn't love a great breakfast? We definitely got one here AND were able to avoid succumbing to the 1 Lb Apple Fritter (that looked amazing) as we walked in. The pancakes were on point, the bacon was GOOD bacon (as opposed to the cheap stuff) and the Huevos Rancheros were not too shabby for not being a Mexican restaurant! I ordered an omelette with English muffins as I like to make breakfast sandwiches with it. I don't know if they make their English muffins there or what but they were very nice! Thick and fluffy. I failed to snap photos of anything besides the coffee. The pancakes are very large and were great! The bad, the donuts aren't what I remember them being. I tried the blueberry cake, donut holes cream chocolate glazed and Boston cream. They all tasted old and we got there at about 8am. We arrived at Donut hole this morning. My husband was first in line and quickly another family lined up behind him. A lady in pink shirt was sitting in chair was grumbling about people getting in front of her. After about three more families lined up behind us the "lady" stormed to the front of the line and demanded a table. She was seated immediately w her adult son and three grands and others We had a party of seven (two of which were 2 small children) - we told waitress we would not mind splitting into two tables if it would get us seated sooner. She kept coming outside and getting people behind our party!!! Parties of six!! Two different times. We stopped her the third time!!! We got two tables after waiting 35 min in line watching people walk in from the "buying donuts only" side and getting seated ahead of the folks standing in line. My advice is to eat breakfast before you go!!! Don't go hungry!!!! Also!!! Shame on Donut Hole for not having a better system for seating patrons!! Take some advice from Cracker Barrel. They don't have any trouble seating multitudes of diners. Invest in some pagers like most restaurants do so ladies in pink shirts can sit in Adirondak chairs and wait calmly for their table. The Ultimate breakfast spot in 30A! There are several locations up and down Hwy 98 and this place is great! The donuts are immaculate! They also have all the traditional breakfast foods you would require. The place gets packed everyday, so if you don't want to wait, go early! This is the "go to" place on 30A for donuts and southern comfort food for breakfast. Folks line up early for these delicious eats. Daily specials on chalk boards offer choices off the menu. Need a breakfast "appetizer" - there's a huge selection of fresh made donuts. We ordered crispy bacon and that's exactly what we got. The homemade biscuits and gravy are the bomb. We ended up ordering breakfast, well two of us did. My mom ended up getting a club sandwich, and it was huge! My breakfast dish was called the diet plate. It was a pun, as the plate was huge! It was all things breakfast mixed together--and it was hands-down delicious. I would totally recommend! They also have donuts. They make them fresh in the morning and when they run out, they run out. We did try a few that evening, but they did not have a great selection. If you're in town, I would recommend hitting this place early. Their breakfast is good, and you can grab some donuts for the day. We had a kind server, and the restaurant was large enough for all of us to seat ourselves in an open dining area.
