    Assorted dozen

What a great find! If you're looking for a donut spot in Culver City, head on over to Donut King! Pre-ordered 3 dozen assorted donuts the day before for pickup and considering this was our first time, we were pleasantly surprised by the service. The donuts were ready on time and we paid when we arrived. One dozen for $15.99 and they even threw in some donut holes. The donuts were light, fluffy and not overly sweet. Yummy! Thanks, Christine!

Half dozen donuts - SO GOOD!

These are the BEST DONUTS in LA! Amazing price and really friendly people working there. My family and I went here for several years of my childhood in the early 2000s. Just revisited last month and then today and it's still SO DANG GOOD . Also had one of the best bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwiches from here, it's perfectly toasted and has a little bit of jalapeño in it if you ask for it, for $6.

First time at Donut King on 1/6/24 and it won't be our last! The awesome reviews are deserving of this place. Yelper's got this one right! We were greeted with a nice welcome when my daughter and I walked in. This nice lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful. We started pointing at the delicious donuts for our dozen and a half order. The donuts looked fresh and delicious. It is a small place with a couple of tables for those who want to enjoy their donut and coffee onsite. The box of donuts were beautifully packaged. So glad we found this gem. We brought the donuts to my son's basketball game and everyone enjoyed every piece. They are located on Sepulveda and Washington Blvd next to a Thai restaurant. Parking available in the plaza and on the street as well. They close early so make sure to check Yelp for hours before driving over. They also have lotto tickets and scratchers for those who like to play. Next time, i'd like to try their boba drinks.

We love Donut King. I am not sure if this is part of a franchise or just has the same name as other places. Regardless, it is great. The donuts are always fresh and the coffee is hot (very hot, beware). My grandson picked this donut shop on our way to a play. He is very picky about his donuts. He loved it. They have a great selection, their prices are great and parking is easy. It is located right off the 405 freeway on the east side of the street on Sepulveda near Venice Blvd. The service is fast and super nice. They also have a huge selection of drinks and some other items. This is so much better than some big chain. Go there. Cash only.

    Sprinkled deliciousness!

By my second visit they had my order memorized. This isn't your typical chain like "Yum Yum," which I'm not knocking, but this is by far the best quality and pricing combination. Their latte's are delicious. The vanilla sprinkled donuts are superb. Love it.

Best donuts in Culver City? Really? Hmm that got my attention haha as I got an instant message to try out these donuts. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't eat donuts too often. I always thought all donuts were the same (with the exception of some cool blueberry donuts my cousins got at M&M- see my review of that place ;) ). I was pleasantly surprised when I tried a glazed donut from Donut King. It was so soft and was just like what Isabella L. said in her review, "unbelievable." This is truly a yummy delectable breakfast treat :). I was impressed with how fluffy the donut was. It was so light and fresh and had just the right of crisp at the edges of the donut. I even gave one to my mom, which she ate the next morning and it was still nice and soft. Amazing! :). Donuts that still are soft and fluffy the next day...are a winner :). The description that I got on my instant messanger that morning from a friend to try out these donuts because they are the best was not a joke. These donuts do not disappoint.

Best to eat it with the cake. Would return when in the area. Thank you for the free cake slices.

She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

Chef Yang Soon began developing the reimagined classic Helms Bakery twelve years ago but could not have anticipated the huge changes that were to hit the dining landscape with the Covid pandemic. The decline of going out / dining out, changes in spending habits and the rise of delivery services made this Art Deco styled concept bakery financially unsustainable. Helms has a fascinating history. In 1932 their bread, Olympic Bread, was declared the official bread of the Olympic Games. This led to worldwide recognition. Delivery wagons, or coaches, brought bread, doughnuts and other baked goods to Angelenos' homes with their slogan, "Daily at Your Door." Helms was the bread that astronauts in Apollo 11 took to the moon. World Famous. I've sampled many items in my several visits (driving all the way to Culver City from the SF Valley.) *Breakfast burrito, $14 *Prosciutto/Persimmon sandwich, $17 *Coffee Cake, $5 *Cherry Pie slice, $12 *Nutella-stuffed cookie, $7 *Oat & Medjool Date cookie, $4.50 *Corn & Caramel cookie, $5 *Pistachio & chocolate cookie, $7 *Pecan Molasses, $5 On previous visits: *Olive Oil Cake *Corn Cake All of the above were made with high-quality ingredients, and thus sold at a high price point. All well-crafted and extremely delicious in my opinion. I will miss this place tremendously. I sincerely hope that Chef makes good on opening a Helms bakery in another location in the near future. I used to work in the area & came across this bakery, but never got around to trying them out. Since my daughter's birthday was coming up, I thought about trying them out since their desserts were beautifully displayed... they should taste good, right? I ordered the current favorite flavor: red velvet, & asked if they could decorate it with pink flowers & birthday message in red. The cake looks plain with just 3 pink roses, but the birthday cursive was pretty good; however, for the price, it wasn't worth eating a super dry cake. Our family of 4 barely ate 1/3, & tried giving it away to our neighbors, who were also unimpressed. The Smack Pie was supposedly a decadent chocolate lover's sinful treat. It was meh... the ganache wasn't silky-smooth but did taste fudgy, the caramel was hard, & the peanuts were stale. We did enjoy the Banana Cream & Lemon Blueberry Tarts to offset the very dry birthday cake. Luckily, I bought these to compensate for the cake so the birthday girl was happy in the end. Sinners & Saints Desserts sounds like a deliciously tempting bakery but some of their goods miss the mark. I don't think I'll be purposely sinning here much.
