I like this mom & pop shop. They have a good variety of donuts and super affordable too! I usually come here for their breakfast bagels. I like to order onion bagel, with eggs, bacon, and cheese. Super simple, but super tasty! I don't know what kind of cheese they use, but it's definitely a favorite of mine. The bagel comes with hot peppers and they recently started including pickled carrots. The owners are super nice as well! They get busy in the morning since their coffee is also good, but the line moves along. It's definitely a must try if you haven't. read more

We were greeted with a nice welcome when my daughter and I walked in. This nice lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful. We started pointing at the delicious donuts for our dozen and a half order. The donuts looked fresh and delicious. It is a small place with a couple of tables for those who want to enjoy their donut and coffee onsite. The box of donuts were beautifully packaged. So glad we found this gem. We brought the donuts to my son's basketball game and everyone enjoyed every piece. They are located on Sepulveda and Washington Blvd next to a Thai restaurant. Parking available in the plaza and on the street as well. They close early so make sure to check Yelp for hours before driving over. I used to love this place until they refused to accept the cash I tried to give them because it was "too dirty" and that the bank wouldn't accept it. It's cash. Perhaps they should accept debit cards? There are other donut shops in town. I will go elsewhere. Rude people! Pro tip: cash only! Located in a small strip mall with lots of parking. Such a nice local donut shop in Culver City! The owner (or whoever was working there at the time) was super nice and friendly. The shop has one booth to sit in but otherwise there's not much seating. The donuts were fluffy and delicious and I requested a ham, cheese, jalapeno croissant which tasted delicious and came warm and heated. I didn't get a chance to eat their donut holes because I came too late in the day but I want to - I had their original glazed and it was fluffy and had a lot of icing but not overfrosted. The donuts are also pretty inexpensive (~$7 for croissant + donut). Definitely would stop by again if I was craving for donuts or if I wanted to pick up a box of donuts for the office or friends! read more

Storefront isn't much, just donuts, but isn't that all you need? Donut King (on Sepulveda, note that there are others, but this is the best) is easily, the best pink box donut shop in West LA and possibly all of LA. I would also take a donut from here over any of the other "artisan" donut shops in LA. The donuts are quite large. Typically, I'd get a glazed twist, but recently discovered how great their bars are, maple or chocolate, both are divine. The cake donuts have that great crisp exterior and moist interior. The sprinkled, cinnamon crumb, and chocolate/chocolate cake donuts are all top notch renditions. The apple fritters are huge, crispy/crunchy with a bit of apple filling and nice hint of cinnamon. The cinnamon rolls are made more in the raised and glazed donut style, as opposed to the denser, chewier, and gooier cream cheese frosted versions you would get elsewhere. The old fashioned and buttermilk donuts are nice, but that's the only donut I'd take from somewhere else, at Primo's a mile away. Staff is friendly and efficient. Donuts are a good value. Great place for morning pick me up. Felt bad because there was a language and noisy sound barrier so they got my order wrong. Asked for oat milk ice coffee, got hot regular milk coffee and I couldn't drink it. She remade it twice. We love Donut King. I am not sure if this is part of a franchise or just has the same name as other places. Regardless, it is great. The donuts are always fresh and the coffee is hot (very hot, beware). My grandson picked this donut shop on our way to a play. He is very picky about his donuts. He loved it. They have a great selection, their prices are great and parking is easy. It is located right off the 405 freeway on the east side of the street on Sepulveda near Venice Blvd. The service is fast and super nice. [Review #260] 2018 Yelp 100 Challenge (25/100) My son had a hankering for donuts earlier during the week & the donut shops that I'm a regular patron of are either out of the way or they close early. After a quick Yelp search, Donut King was actually en route home. With the name like that, their donuts have to be great, right? Since it's a late weekday afternoon, traffic was pretty bad so I was glad to make it pit stop for some goodies. There's only a handful of parking spaces & that afternoon a huge delivery truck blocked off the path to additional spaces so I parked right in front of the shop. Not good. :-| Someone came out from the back & I said I needed my order quick because I'm parked right by your entrance (possibly the fire lane) so I can't linger. It was near closing time so the options were limited but I still got some of my favs: strawberry frosted cruller, chocolate covered custard filled donut, crumb cinnamon roll, apple fritter (it was ginormous, taking up almost half the box), & fruity pebbles chocolate frosted cake donut. I was hangry because I ate an early but small lunch so I ate the cruller while I drove. Considering the time of day, I was pretty surprised that it was still moist/flaky-ish; it rivals some of my preferred donut shops. We split the rest as dessert after dinner. Of my choices, I thought the crumb cinnamon roll was the standout... topped with fresh crumbs, glazed perfectly so it's not overly sweet, cinnamon sprinkled throughout a moist & fluffy rolled donut. The apple fritter that was bigger than my hand had great flavor & lots of tender apples, but the edges were too hard/crunchy as if it was charred... by cutting away the edges, it became a normal size (slightly more than half its original size) apple fritter that was delicious. My husband liked his custard donut; however, the custard was bland, but the chocolate frosting added some needed flavor & sweetness. The fruity pebbles cake donut was the most disappointing. My daughter said it was dry & not very cake-like, & the fruity pebbles were stale, old tasting. She's usually forgiving about desserts & sweets... I'm guessing from our recent foodie outings, she's becoming more finicky about food. Donut King is cash only, but their donuts are pretty cheap. A box of dozen donuts is the best bang for your buck. I'm definitely a fan, but I'm going to be selective to get their best products: Crumb Cinnamon Roll & Crullers. read more

Such pretty donuts! I needed a donut shop that was inexpensive but still delicious. I came into Doniut King and was surprised by how lovely all the donuts looked and so much variety. I got a dozen donuts for around $11 and some change for an assortment of glazed, rainbow sprinkle, fruity pebbles and chocolate donuts. They were packaged in a lovely box and secured. They take debit card but I believe there was a fee so if you have the cash you can save a little money. All in all it was a lovely experience with even lovelier customer service. read more

Watch the throne, the donut king is regally delicious. That donut cray. We went here on a Saturday evening just before 6pm and it was still super good. The total was $2.50 for four donuts. Two chocolate glazed, one buttermilk, and one plain glazed. All delicious. They weren't the freshest but still tasted great. Then we put them in the oven and they were transcendent handheld delights. You probably think I'm going overboard and maybe I attribute it to the sugar rush you get eating these things. But you have a buttermilk and tell me it doesn't make heads roll like Louis XVI. I wanted to bring some donuts in for my office today, for an early workday treat. I found Donut King on Yelp and it is also conveniently on my exact route to work anyway, so I stopped by. At first glance, the line going into this tiny place was intimidating, but it moved quite quickly. I got the Mixed Dozen for $5.99. The owner/lady was nice enough to make it a baker's dozen, yay! Then we tore into those babies at the office- wow. I can't say I'm a donut expert, but these were some of the most moist, flavorful donuts I have had anywhere. My coworkers were quite happy as well. We came by for cronuts in the afternoon after lunch at Public School 310. The prices are pretty damn cheap and at about 2P, they still had a large variety of donuts available. We got a custard filled chocolate donut, green tea cronut and a macaron. Now I know of only once place where the cronuts are still delicious a day after being made. This particular cronut was dry and stale, I'd assume only a few hours after being prepared. The green tea filling/topping were also unimpressive. I had a bite and gave up on it. The custard filled was just OK. Wasn't a fan of the filling at all. Macaroon was decently made, as well as the apple fritter my friend got. I know a lot of the reviews rave about this spot, so either I'm crazy, or I may have just gotten bad batches. read more
