The shop itself was clean and tidy except for the creamer station was a bit messy. They also offer other items aside from a doughnut like sandwich's. HUGE advantage in the doughnut shop world. Donut Star has never disappointed us. Their fresh donuts will always have you coming back for more. I've never had a donut that tasted like it was old or that wasn't freshly made. Another item that I like getting here is the Thai tea boba. They have a few flavor selections, including some smoothies and teas that you can purchase. Along with that, they have a refrigerator with different flavored kinds of milk and other drink selections for those that don't like coffee, tea, or smoothies. I love this donut shop! My husband brings my son weekly and the owners are always so nice to my son and make sure to have his sprinkle chocolate donuts he loves. They always call him their buddy and are so nice and welcoming to him it really makes his day as my little one is autistic and he looks forward to coming here and getting his donuts. Down the street from me, we tend to come here after church on Sundays. I like to get the strawberries and cream smoothie to wash down my half dozen of doughnuts, which, by the way, are under $5. I was looking for a place that had Thai tea and saw a fellow Yelper Sarah S. Have a great review on this places Thai tea so I thought I'd stop in! For not having many places that serve Thai tea in the Southern I.E. I definitely am not complaining with my tea esp. for the great price I payed. It was good tea and steeped well before making it premade. The only downside is that because it is not fresh, I was unable to customize it and put less sugar in it but other than that if you want strong sweet Thai tea this is definitely an option in the Menifee area! This place is awesome! Was looking for a new donut shop in the area and I found it! Came in at 4 pm on a Sunday and they had an incredible selection with racks of donuts still in the back. The lady was super sweet and even gave me a free donut and donut holes :) The place was clean and it felt like an old school donut shop from when I was a little kid. Now - THIS is OUR donut shop. We've tried all others near us but NONE compare to this one. Great donuts!!! Fresh - always fresh. Big and delicious. We both favor French Crullers. I think they put on too much frosting, but DAM they are so good!!! We can always peel off part of the frosting. Never been disappointed in ANY of their donuts - ever! The ONLY negative we have is we DO NOT like paying extra to use our ATM or a credit card. That ticks us off, as we don't know any others that do that. We tend NOT to go there when we don't have CASH on hand and there are lots of times when we have to drive by because we don't carry cash with us much at all anymore! We can pay the extra, we just don't think it's fair to do to your customers - it is not a typical practice in all our neighborhood - no one does this. They always have a nice fresh variety here and when you get a dozen, they always top it off with their choice of one last donut for a bakers dozen. Wash your diabetes, I mean donuts down with any choice of drink. You can't go wrong with any of them. From the carton of chocolate milk, to coffee, or a smoothie.
