Donuts are decent! Customer service is lacking. Cute festive donuts for the week of Halloween! Also I loved the Halloween decorations throughout the entire store. Very cute! The festive donuts are not included in the dozens or half dozens though - just a heads up on that. You have to buy those individually. I got a half dozen of glaze twists and a could chocolate long johns.

Easy quick and fast service. Pulled up for a coffee and donut and got it asap the donut was good so was the coffee. Small little location with a few seats if you wanna eat in but it does the job you can tell they have regular customers here also

Best donut Shop ever! Everytime I come in they are so friendly to me and treat me like family. The donuts are amazing, the bagel sandwiches are sooooooo good and I also had the best pumpkin spice muffin I've ever had here! As if all of this wasn't enough, they always have really cute decorations and donuts themed for every holiday and event. I absolutely love coming here, they always put a smile on my face!

First and last time i will be coming here. Tried ordering a breakfast sandwich and asked to switch out mayo for light cream cheese and was told it would cost $1 extra for light cream cheese so i turn it down (mind you the sandwich is already $7). Ordered 4 donuts and the lady smashed them into one small bag; the donuts were literally falling out. I asked for a box, she said "6 donuts minimum or i charge you for the box" at this point i asked for small white bags for each donut bc i rather have that than them falling out on the counter. Asked for a bag and she threw it on the counter. I should have just left everything. Also, this is the sandwich.. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I would not recommend this donut shop. I ordered a raspberry filled and a chocolate glazed. The raspberry filled like it had been dipped twice and sugar, which was overwhelming and the chocolate glazed donut mostly tasted like sugar and no chocolate flavor. The other donuts in the case, kind of looked strange like the toppings have been smeared on with a pastry knife. Not smooth like I'm use to seeing. Now the strangest part. I see that there are premade Starbucks Frappuccino for $4.50. So I ask for one of those and the cashier says, "why don't you have one of our premade drinks for $7?" I was like I don't want to spend $7. She shrugged and sold me the Starbucks drink. I left to find out the Starbucks drink is spoiled and has huge curds floating in it. Expiration was 6/23. Just a weird experience

Wow. I stopped in one morning not expecting much. The place is small and doesn't have a lot of variety but these things are not important. I had one of the freshest, tastiest donuts of my life. The chocolate glazed was so delicious. This is my new favorite donut place. read more

Excellent donuts. They are always fresh and texture is perfect (at least when I pick them up on Friday mornings). My favorite donuts are glazed twists and this place beats the twists at Winchell's. For me, that's a big deal. Can't rate them perfect because they're a little pricey, but still highly recommended. read more

Pretty good spot for donuts. Had the Cronut it was a good deal. Not huge but a good size and the price was fair. The bad thing is it's not a 24 hr spot. Don't know the hours couldn't see any signs. Will be back again and will ask about the hours. Go there and get a Cronut you won't regret it. Pics soon lol read more

The muffins were good. I bought also croissant that I did not eat because the lady serving me heated it in the microwave without putting it in a sleeve or a bag. She just placed it on top of the microwave. Sadly that was a turnoff. Another matter she seemed angry or mad speaking as she was yelling. read more

I've been to this place twice now and their donuts are amazing! The first time I came here I was bringing donuts for my co workers. They said the donuts were so good, and apparently the box was emptied in record time. The second time was this morning to pick up a box for my kids and my family. They always have a nice selection and for coming in at 1030 on a Saturday morning, their trays were nice and stocked. Both times I ordered an ice coffee that they make with ice cream and it's the perfect start to my day! I need to make it a point to come back here to get more donuts and coffee. They are always so nice and their donuts never disappoint! read more

I have no idea what the haters are talking about... I was shocked to see the review by Abby S staying the doughnuts were too greasy? Hahah ridiculous, but that's what you expect from people who just yelp one star reviews and look like they need to probably find a better day job (not to be rude, but just saying lol). I remember going to this doughnut shop as a kid and they were always lovely caring people who make the best doughnuts in town. I can't fret enough how important great customer service goes a long way and doughnuts made with love rather than krispy cremes where they could give to shits about quality. If you want quantity that's all in preference, but quality is here without a doubt. Years later it didn't catch me by surprise to see this place still in business and still making fantastic doughnuts! It makes me so happy to see the local ma and pa style shop out here still doing it right. I work down the street and get doughnuts every Thursday, but it doesn't stop there! They have great coffee that hits the spot without giving me heartburn, which I found perfect since I always get heartburn from Starbucks and shit coffee. I love this place and I think you will as well. read more

The employees inside were ready to answer any questions and worked diligently to get orders processed. There are a handful of outdoor tables if you want to enjoy your treats there, but be warned that it can get busy in the morning. After one visit here it's easy to understand why. What really sets them apart is their willingness to get creative. They have the classics, but the adventurous specialty donuts are where the magic happens. I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish. Best of all, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Going back for this one soon! If coconut is not your thing, but you enjoy chocolate and whip cream I recommend the whipped cream stuffed chocolate Long John. The chocolate icing had a nice cocoa flavor without being overly sweet, while the whipped cream filling was light, airy, and pleasantly smooth. What really stood out though was the donut itself because it was soft, fluffy, and fresh. The freshness was obvious from the first bite. The donut had that perfect texture--light and airy inside while still substantial enough to hold all of those toppings. It managed to feel indulgent without becoming heavy. Even the atmosphere here adds to the experience. Standing outside with a fresh donut and coffee in hand while watching the steady stream of customers come and go gives you the feeling that you've discovered a local favorite rather than a chain trying to imitate one. If you're the type who usually grabs a plain glazed donut and moves on, this is the place that might convince you to branch out. Between the creative flavors, fresh ingredients, and consistently delicious execution, it's easy to see why people line up in the morning. Some donuts satisfy a craving, these donuts create one!

My other favorites are the Lovebirds and Foxy Cleopatra. I really love the flavors of their drinks. As always, their service is superb and I love interacting with the baristas. They're so sweet! Lots of space to do work and reliable wifi. There's a bathroom in the back as well. I love the songs that they play. Parking can be a little hard to find if it's later in the day. Most of the parking around there is 2 or 3 hour paid parking.

I have to admit that the Aussie style breakfast is along with different twist on certain things that you wouldn't typically have for breakfast or initially caught my eye. I started off with the golden latte. It was a beautifully balanced turmeric latte with almond milk with a perfect amount of sweetness. Not only was it gut healing, but it's super warming on a chilly morning. While I was looking over the menu, I was between the breakfast burrito since everybody was ordering it or the soft scramble with chili oil. I landed on the soft scrambled chili crunch. It was served with a half avocado and rye toast the others in our party ordered pancakes, bacon, a chicken sandwich and a Yuzu drink. Everything came out in a timely manner and beautifully plated. I absolutely loved the soft scramble on Rye. It was a perfect serving size as well as hitting the spot for a not so traditional breakfast. As we're sitting there, I noticed everybody was ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes, so I could not resist and ordered some as well. I will say the most underwhelming part of that was the lemon ricotta pancakes due to the ratios for the pancake pancakes and lemon ricotta. Overall, my experience was spectacular. I cannot wait to go back to Bluestone Lane to try other menu items.

I have gone the past 2 years and never had issues getting it on the first day. This year was different. I got there around 5:05 and walked into the shop to see a lot of tables empty. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

Whatever they may be make sure they are the same to avoid this. As a result they left their staff in a very vulnerable position. The staff did not handle it well. Update the hours to match. It is a simple fix to avoid this confusion and future situations.

This is my FAVORITE DONUT & BOBA place. Located on Glassell and right across from a local 7 Eleven, this Donut Star has become part of my weekly routine. I literally come here every single Friday & order 2 Honeydew Bobas with whipped cream for my mom and myself. Their boba is very delicious! I love their honeydew flavor because it tastes very refreshing. Not many boba places have honeydew on their menu, so if you're looking for a new flavor to try - I HIGHLY recommend their Honeydew! The donuts are also very good! A good amount of variety and during different holidays, they make these decorative donuts (pictured here) that are topped with a sweet, chocolate-y layer. Aside from donuts, they also offer a variety of croissants and muffins. My mom has gotten their ham & cheese croissant and says it's easily one of her favorite local breakfast foods. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. Even though the parking lot may be small, whenever I've come here, parking is never an issue. The Donut Star is very convenient for e as it is right down the street from my house and they literally have everything in there from coffee to tea to donuts to sandwiches and a plethora of drinks at your disposal. The service is always great every time I come in and they remember my face so they know or have an idea of exactly what I want before I even have to say anything. The also accept cash and card.
