Donuts are decent! Customer service is lacking. Cute festive donuts for the week of Halloween! Also I loved the Halloween decorations throughout the entire store. Very cute! The festive donuts are not included in the dozens or half dozens though - just a heads up on that. You have to buy those individually. I got a half dozen of glaze twists and a could chocolate long johns.

Easy quick and fast service. Pulled up for a coffee and donut and got it asap the donut was good so was the coffee. Small little location with a few seats if you wanna eat in but it does the job you can tell they have regular customers here also

First and last time i will be coming here. Tried ordering a breakfast sandwich and asked to switch out mayo for light cream cheese and was told it would cost $1 extra for light cream cheese so i turn it down (mind you the sandwich is already $7). Ordered 4 donuts and the lady smashed them into one small bag; the donuts were literally falling out. I asked for a box, she said "6 donuts minimum or i charge you for the box" at this point i asked for small white bags for each donut bc i rather have that than them falling out on the counter. Asked for a bag and she threw it on the counter. I should have just left everything. Also, this is the sandwich.. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Best donut Shop ever! Everytime I come in they are so friendly to me and treat me like family. The donuts are amazing, the bagel sandwiches are sooooooo good and I also had the best pumpkin spice muffin I've ever had here! As if all of this wasn't enough, they always have really cute decorations and donuts themed for every holiday and event. I absolutely love coming here, they always put a smile on my face!

I would not recommend this donut shop. I ordered a raspberry filled and a chocolate glazed. The raspberry filled like it had been dipped twice and sugar, which was overwhelming and the chocolate glazed donut mostly tasted like sugar and no chocolate flavor. The other donuts in the case, kind of looked strange like the toppings have been smeared on with a pastry knife. Not smooth like I'm use to seeing. Now the strangest part. I see that there are premade Starbucks Frappuccino for $4.50. So I ask for one of those and the cashier says, "why don't you have one of our premade drinks for $7?" I was like I don't want to spend $7. She shrugged and sold me the Starbucks drink. I left to find out the Starbucks drink is spoiled and has huge curds floating in it. Expiration was 6/23. Just a weird experience

I'm a sucker for local donut shops and I was stoked to find one that I hadn't been to around the corner from my house. Tucked away in a small strip mall next to some restaurants and a tattoo parlor, it's easy to miss. Their storefront advertises a variety of other things like breakfast sandwiches, muffins, etc - so if you're looking for something other than fried pastries, they have you covered! I went with a chocolate covered and a pink frosted one. Both were super fluffy and not overly sweet. Not sure if they were recently baked, but they were super fresh and I loved that they kept their form, flavor and texture even the next day when I decided to finish my sugary treats. Like most donut shops, it's cash only, but they do offer an ATM. If you really don't want to pull out that much cash, there's a 7-11 next door where you can pull out a few bucks with any purchase. I love the people who work here and thier donuts. In a rather convenient striplet on Riverdale/Glassel by the 91 frwy, Donut Star shines as a great place for many things. Parking gets crowded sometimes but never out of hand. The service is always great, freindly people, clean organized shop, quick and efficient. Cofee I always get thier regular coffee and its always perfect, I usually prefer thiers over a few places I will not name(but thats a personal prefference, not a typical evaluation point). I also like thier hazelnut blend, they have a couple of other flavors. You can add milk, cream and sugar right there before you go. more They have milk, juices, sodas, cold cofee's, water, and more in thier fridges. plus they have Boba. Donuts all the greats are here, if you want an apple fritter that taste soft and fresh, not stale and crunchy, here it is. The old fashioned glazed, devils food, all the bars, sprinkles, and everything I can think of, they are great. Plus they have muffins and criousaants, including thier ham & cheese breakfast crousaints which my co-workers love. I may get critiqued heavily for giving a classis style donut shop ran by 2 great women 5 stars, but, that is my take, love it or not. read more

Best donut shop in Orange!! From the yummy food to the awesome service!!! The donuts are freshly baked and super yummy and soft. The crossaints are stacked with egg, bacon, cheese and ham for $3 which are huge. Can't get that at fast food!! They have different flavors of coffee and toxin removing teas! Their newest item is the baked cronut!! They have different flavors maple, chocolate, sugar and crumb. We tried the crumb one today and it was scrumptious. The crunch and sweetness were just right. The owner is so sweet and friendly. She always welcomes you with a smile and hello. Love talking with her when I come in. It's cash only so make sure to have bills in the wallet. read more

Wendy and Savi are very friendly and hard-working. Everytime I come in I am always greeted with a great service, kind face and warm conversation. Always feel welcomed and treated well with. Really fresh donuts! Great tasting, happily glazed and sweet! The donut holes were delectable, but the raised twist was a bit too yeasty for my taste. All the rest were wonderful. Love the hours - open later than most independent donut shops. Highly recommend! Update: Have gotten donuts here a few more times since my last review, and have to say the donuts are now ALWAYS AMAZING! I've lived down the street from this donut spot since I was little! I'm not a big donut person. But this place made me love donuts! The only spot I'll ever order from and my family too! Always fresh and never a bad experience! So now I'm starting my own family and just had my babyshower and we had donut star provide 7 dz donuts and 100 donut holes and did they disappear fast! I always pick up donuts here for my coworkers since it is so close to my work and they all love them every time I bring them, they don't leave a donut left in the box! They even offered to let me call ahead in the morning so they can make extra for me to pick up, which I greatly appreciate :) And their ham and cheese croissants are very good as well, would recommend their shop to anyone in the area! read more

Tsk tsk!!! Shame on you, Donut Star!!! Selling day old re-heated donuts as "fresh" doughnuts. I've had these day old hockey pucks mixed in with fresh doughnuts on my last few visits. Shouldn't be difficult to tell when you've had a day old re-heated doughnut: 1) Tastes DISGUSTING 2) Super oily 3) Deflated mess of fried dough instead of being light, airy, and soft. Reputable bakeries separate their day old goods from the fresh goods and customers know when they're purchasing day old goods. This Donut Star has lost a repeat customer and earned a one-star Yelp review. read more

I just started going to this place after I been working in the area for a few months now. I really was craving a cronut and the two times I went it was sold out so I just settled for the donut holes which are pretty good. The lady remember the second time I came in and asked about and she said you really want one? I was like yes I do and she was like we sellout early but I'll make sure to have some tomorrow when you come in. Service is exceptional! Workers that treat their customers like this deserve a lot of praise. But shop is reasonable in price and is very convenient. Will start going more often but I have to watch out for my weight ahahaha. read more

My favorite local donut shop! Their donuts are soft, doughy, and perfect! Better than Dunkin Donuts and any other donut shop around town. They also offer croissants, cronuts, smoothie drinks, etc. Chocolate twists and maple bars are my favorite here, but when I don't want a donut (rarely ever) I will pick up a ham and cheese croissant warmed up! read more

This place is horrible, theres one female customer that they let come in and bypass waiting customers and she is rude. She pushes people physically to get past them and when you bring it up to the owner they shrug. Would give zero stars if i could. read more

I came at 10 PM to donut star, keep in mind this is an hour after they close. I drove 40 miles from riverside to have this taro again. I tried this drink 3 years ago for the first time and I fell in love. Ever since then every time there's an opportunity to order taro I seize it. What a dissapointment! The donuts are so greasy that my husband and I couldn't even finish them. We got 3 different types of donuts - glazed twist, maple bar, and apple fritter. All 3 were too greasy so it wasn't like a one time mishap. read more

I love this Donut Star! The donuts are always fresh and delicious! It doesn't matter the time you go in to buy them, they are scrumptious donuts. The service is excellent, so friendly and welcoming. We visited this place at random one Saturday morning when we first moved into the area to pick up some donuts for us and a few friends, and we absolutely loved their donuts!! We had to go back to get more!! Haha Now my friends drive from Anaheim just to pick up donuts from here. Always fresh, fluffy and just consistently good! We LOVE THIS PLACE. The employees inside were ready to answer any questions and worked diligently to get orders processed. There are a handful of outdoor tables if you want to enjoy your treats there, but be warned that it can get busy in the morning. After one visit here it's easy to understand why. What really sets them apart is their willingness to get creative. They have the classics, but the adventurous specialty donuts are where the magic happens. I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish. Best of all, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Going back for this one soon! If coconut is not your thing, but you enjoy chocolate and whip cream I recommend the whipped cream stuffed chocolate Long John. The chocolate icing had a nice cocoa flavor without being overly sweet, while the whipped cream filling was light, airy, and pleasantly smooth. What really stood out though was the donut itself because it was soft, fluffy, and fresh. The freshness was obvious from the first bite. The donut had that perfect texture--light and airy inside while still substantial enough to hold all of those toppings. It managed to feel indulgent without becoming heavy. Even the atmosphere here adds to the experience. Standing outside with a fresh donut and coffee in hand while watching the steady stream of customers come and go gives you the feeling that you've discovered a local favorite rather than a chain trying to imitate one. If you're the type who usually grabs a plain glazed donut and moves on, this is the place that might convince you to branch out. Finally made a trip to the mainland, made off with my daughter's car, and headed down the 22 for some Spanish bread. I ordered a box of 20 STAXX, and six assorted donuts. While waiting for some freshly BAD-baked STAXX, kid behind the counter helped me pick some donuts cuz I was overwhelmed by all this BAD-assery. Knowing myself, I placed the boxes in the trunk and headed back to the pad. And then BAD things happened. I placed the box of STAXX on the counter, opened it up and inhaled that BAD-baked scent. I promptly ate up three STAXX...you can't eat just one. I am coming back in the weekend to try their Ube version.

This is my FAVORITE DONUT & BOBA place. Located on Glassell and right across from a local 7 Eleven, this Donut Star has become part of my weekly routine. I literally come here every single Friday & order 2 Honeydew Bobas with whipped cream for my mom and myself. Their boba is very delicious! I love their honeydew flavor because it tastes very refreshing. Not many boba places have honeydew on their menu, so if you're looking for a new flavor to try - I HIGHLY recommend their Honeydew! The donuts are also very good! A good amount of variety and during different holidays, they make these decorative donuts (pictured here) that are topped with a sweet, chocolate-y layer. Aside from donuts, they also offer a variety of croissants and muffins. My mom has gotten their ham & cheese croissant and says it's easily one of her favorite local breakfast foods. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. Even though the parking lot may be small, whenever I've come here, parking is never an issue. The Donut Star is very convenient for e as it is right down the street from my house and they literally have everything in there from coffee to tea to donuts to sandwiches and a plethora of drinks at your disposal. The service is always great every time I come in and they remember my face so they know or have an idea of exactly what I want before I even have to say anything. The also accept cash and card. Plus, since I don't eat pork, they have turkey as well unlike some other donut shops that only have ham. This place is absolutely fantastic! read more

4am and Jeff is there SEVEN DAYS A WEEK WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING . Friendly service and ham -cheese crossiant very good . Coffee is always fresh and I drink it black to get full effect . Jeff works very hard and motivated like most to better there lives . Cooked off very nice and coming in that time of the morning gets OVEN FRESH DONUTS . Plus I told Jeff I would right review .
