The crossaints are stacked with egg, bacon, cheese and ham for $3 which are huge. Can't get that at fast food!! They have different flavors of coffee and toxin removing teas! Their newest item is the baked cronut!! They have different flavors maple, chocolate, sugar and crumb. We tried the crumb one today and it was scrumptious. The crunch and sweetness were just right. Came early in the AM and bought a glaze donut. Ate it at work and noticed this glazed donut was off. It tasted like used oil. And you know why? Because the donut was like soaking in the oil. You know how real smoked bbq meat has that smoke ring? So this donut, instead of the smoke, it had a layer of oil. Yeah, not coming here again. Should've went to the 7-11 or the other donut shop down the street next to the liquor store and deli. read more

I'm a sucker for local donut shops and I was stoked to find one that I hadn't been to around the corner from my house. Tucked away in a small strip mall next to some restaurants and a tattoo parlor, it's easy to miss. Their storefront advertises a variety of other things like breakfast sandwiches, muffins, etc - so if you're looking for something other than fried pastries, they have you covered! I went with a chocolate covered and a pink frosted one. Both were super fluffy and not overly sweet. Not sure if they were recently baked, but they were super fresh and I loved that they kept their form, flavor and texture even the next day when I decided to finish my sugary treats. Like most donut shops, it's cash only, but they do offer an ATM. If you really don't want to pull out that much cash, there's a 7-11 next door where you can pull out a few bucks with any purchase. I consider myself a sort of donut connoisseur, having eaten donuts in many highly acclaimed donut shops from San Diego county to L. A. to Portland, Oregon. So when I saw the high ranking and the 41/2 star rating for Donut Star, I was excited to try their donuts. After selecting 3 different types: maple cake, maple bar, and strawberry filled glazed, I started with the maple cake. After the first bite, I became very disappointed with the taste and the quality of the donut. It was nearly stale, and very dried out. Then I tried the maple bar which had received some good reviews. Same thing, not tasty, dried out frosting,, dissatisfying. The last try was the strawberry filled which was okay, but nothing special. I don't know who the people are that are giving Donut Star 5 star reviews, but they must not have tried a really good donut like at the Donut Man in Glendora. I have to give Donut Star only 2 stars for less than tasty donuts. read more

Shouldn't be difficult to tell when you've had a day old re-heated doughnut: 1) Tastes DISGUSTING 2) Super oily 3) Deflated mess of fried dough instead of being light, airy, and soft. Reputable bakeries separate their day old goods from the fresh goods and customers know when they're purchasing day old goods. I just started going to this place after I been working in the area for a few months now. I really was craving a cronut and the two times I went it was sold out so I just settled for the donut holes which are pretty good. The lady remember the second time I came in and asked about and she said you really want one? I came at 10 PM to donut star, keep in mind this is an hour after they close. I drove 40 miles from riverside to have this taro again. I tried this drink 3 years ago for the first time and I fell in love. Ever since then every time there's an opportunity to order taro I seize it.
