I was craving donuts one morning so I turned to Yelp to tell me what was good and this store popped up. So my friend and I hopped into my car and sped on over. The shop was clean and welcoming - decor is pretty minimal. Service: When we stepped in, the staff greeted us cordially and attended to us immediately. They waited patiently as we deliberated on the multiple options we were presented with. Quality: We decided to pick 3 donuts, and we settled on cookies 'n' cream, cheesecake, and fruit loop donuts, as those seemed to be the ones people seemed to rave about. Everything came out to something around $5-6, which is a pretty sweet deal (pun intended). I had to start another paragraph because I need you all to understand how GOOD these donuts were. They were absolutely PHENOMENAL. The quality was on point - soft and fluffy and not too crazy with the sugar. I think my absolutely favorite out of the three was the cheesecake donut. The textures came together real nicely and it was surprising not overwhelmingly sweet - just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Something to keep in mind is that they do close pretty early on weekends. For the most part, if you get there early, you will have a lot of options to choose from. Donuts in this state are garbage. Your choices are basically Dunkin, or a few random duck donuts and let's be honest, that's just the same donut over and over with different glazes/toppings. So here is Donuts Time and holy crap, they make different kinds of donuts! Yea, they have a regular base donut that they frost a few different ways, but the coffee cake donut and lemon donut both use a different dough, and there are cream/jelly filled donuts here. I really liked the canoli cream donut, but I thought the bacon donut was a bit much. My only complaint is that some of these donuts don't really taste like donuts. The dough gets a bit cake-like, which I don't mind but my wife hates. Also, their standard base donut is a bit too large, and loses that fried quality you would get from a little smaller donut. America's unfortunate fuel of choice, Dunkin, has over-saturated the market with massively bland appeal such that, spare an occasional small, local bakery, elite donut connoisseurs are often left desperate and disappointed. Not so with Donuts Time! The unique choices and flavors combined with marvelous baking techniques make for a good stop. We ordered the Coffee cake, Nutella drizzle, and French toast. These are the best donuts we have ever had. We have frequented this establishment probably more than 50 times since we have lived in the Hamilton area. The donuts are sensational. They taste like light cakes. My favorites are the French Toast which tastes just like a Texas Toast French Toast with a ton of syrup. My wife's favorites are the Chocolate Frosted donut and the Salted Caramel. But do not just visit for the donuts. The Breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. I would truly give this cafe a 3.5 if I could but I round up if it's family owned and local. This husband wife owned shop is conveniently located on Rt 33 in Hamilton. We stopped in on a Sunday around 1:15. The owner seemed tired and didn't really greet us but we have our order and he started preparing the donuts right away. I expected the donuts to be warm but they were served at room temp. Slightly larger the the average donut, after I took a bite I felt they were light but still denser than the average donut. The glaze was tasty. The coffee was just ok, the donuts were ok, our bill for 4 donuts and a coffee took us right under 10 dollars. When you walk up to the counter, there is a clear glass display case of the donuts that day. The donuts looked appetizing however I was still not convinced. I was a little intrigued by their unique flavors such as tiramisu, cannoli and lemon cake. We ended up ordering a dozen donuts, a few iced coffees and a ham roll. We sat down to try a few of them and I was blown away. These donuts are not like any other donut spot. My cousin phrased it perfectly when she said that they have a homemade taste to it. The donut itself was a cross between super fluffy fried dough and almost a light cakey texture. Each donut's flavor profile was unique and unlike the typical flavors of a franchised donut spot. I highly recommend the tiramisu, cream filled, lemon cake and Reese's PB cup. However, I will say that some of the donuts are more of a dessert to me rather than a breakfast treat. The ham roll was also really good. It wasn't overly greasy or salty. Overall, I will be visiting again very soon. I am also intrigued by their donut sandwiches! My husband is a very big fan of Donuts Time and wanted to have them featured in our dessert bar for our wedding. He considers their doughnuts to be one of the best yeasted doughnuts in NJ! We went to Donuts Time and went over flavors and quantities and they were more than happy to help and answer questions for us. We decided on their staple flavors and then 2 custom decorated doughnuts. I was able to send photos to them by email and they went out of their way to send us samples of the designs on the doughnuts weeks before the wedding. Great donuts. They're hand dipped and taste extremely fresh. I docked a star since I received a bit of shady workmanship. Flash back to Fathers Day 2017. I order a dozen donuts. It was a variety - all different flavors and three of their Fathers Day donuts. The Fathers Day donut display was a white frosted donut with sprinkles around the edge and "#1 DAD" written on it. Perfect! I was short on time so I didn't look inside the taped box to check it all donuts were as ordered. Since the preparation took roughly 15-20 minutes, I assumed they did everything with care and precision. Later in the day, I open up the box. The three "dad" donuts don't have any writing on them. Ok. Not the worst thing that could happen. But lo and behold, one donut is completely bare. I definitely didn't order that and I definitely paid enough that it wasn't the case either. Ticked off but hours had passed and I wasn't in the area. At least they tasted good even the bare one... So out of 12 donuts, 4 were not as ordered. They were busy but come on! Big kudos to fellow yelper Jed S. for his previous review praising the Cheesecake donut, as his positive feedback was spot on! The base donut itself was crisp on the outside with a soft fluffly dough interior, but the really special part was the filling. The cream cheese filling was so pleasant; lending itself to a rich and creamy flavor versus sweet. In a nice pairing, that sweetness was satisfied by the dollop of fresh strawberry jam on top added that flavor profile. The apple donut (whose actually name I don't remember), looks to be a seasonal flavor and was good. The sandwiches, both breakfast and lunch, are absolutely delicious. ALL of them. They do a curried chicken salad with rasins and spinach on cibatta that is unreal. Fairly certain there is a portion of crack in them, they're that addictive. Lunch sandwiches are around $5 each, or you can get the special that comes with the full sized sandwich, a coffee or tea and a donut for $6. The choice here is obvious. People, this place is unbelievable. While I love being able to get in and out every week as quickly as I do, there should be a line out the door at this place daily. After being in my bookmark for a while, I finally got around to visiting this place. It's maybe a 5 minute drive off the NJ turnpike (if you're coming from NY). They have a small private lot so parking is easy. There is a wide selection of donuts ranging from salted caramel, smores, icecream donut, donut sandwiches..
