Arrived home on a Thursday night after work (with hungry kids in tow). Upon opening the garage door I heard a loud pop sound. One of the cables busted. I called Door Pros after normal business hours and a customer service rep was available to take my call. He was able to schedule a tech to come out first thing in the morning but also explained that an after hours tech could be dispatched for an additional fee if it were an emergency. Jacob arrived the next morning. He was very communicative, friendly, and professional. He assessed the issue immediately and provided tiered solutions without trying to upsell. So I have a mixed review. We've had Door Pros come and fix both our garage door and my mother-in-laws and they did a phenomenal job! especially with our garage door in which we had a new opener installed. Likewise we had an excellent experience with having our screen sliders and large sliding doors serviced. Alex went above and beyond to make certain we were happy. Unfortunately with our large front ((entry) door. As well as a couple of interior doors that we wanted repaired or replaced. The tech came out spent about a half an hour taking measurements and drawing up a plan and then never came back or contacted us. I woke up this morning to find myself stuck in my garage after a large heavy duty spring in the door tracking mechanism broke and the door was too heavy to open manually. I submitted a service request to my home warranty company and was advised the job had been assigned to Door Pros. I called to see if they could send someone out the same day (Saturday) to help me at least get the door open even if the repair needed to be scheduled later. Chris and Tina were not only super friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to find my service request and were able to get James dispatched out within a couple of hours. My experience was not so good. The technician came out and said it was the springs that needed to be replaced which he did. Then he tells us the motor is bad - even though the motor was working when he started to replace the springs. I had to call another vendor (Avila's Garage Doors is awesome!) and he said there's nothring wrong with the motor. It likely just overheated with the first repair guy. So I'm out the original service fee with Door Pros plus the fee from vendor #2. Do not recommend. read more

They came to my home but needed additional parts so scheduled an repair appointment a few days later. My multi-sliding glass doors were getting hard to slide open and close due to dragging dirt and grime along the tracks. It was impossible to close the sliding doors unless I used an air canister to blow the dirt from the corner. I tried getting a large brush to clean the tracks; it helped a little. I tried using a vacuum to suck in the dirt, but my vacuum was not powerful enough. I used a screwdriver to break up the dried dirt chunks, but it was taking me an hour. Even after the aforementioned problems, I would still need to clean it again next week or else door wouldn't lock because dirt is piling up on the corner. This problem started happening for a year and progressively kept getting worse; more effort to slide open the doors; I've never cleaned my door tracks. I went online to the Door Pros website and entered it my name/phone/email number, and stated to only text or email me. I received a text message the next day during business hours; scheduled a free estimate the next day. A technician named Alex was super courteous and knowledgeable. Gave me an estimate of $100 per sliding panel for a deep clean (which is average from what I saw online), then got discount to $250 total for 3 sliding panels. Also got a separate estimate for $600 to change out the rollers if they find out that they need replacement (but he said that this is worse case scenario and won't know until they look more closely into panels; luckily I didn't need this). Scheduled the clean for the following Monday (my estimate took place on a Friday). Alex had an iPad to email me the free estimate and then sign it with my finger. I looked up on Google for average prices to clean my sliding door, and my price apparently falls within the average. Upon the following Monday, two guys (one guy named Alex - coincidentally same name as the technician who gave me an estimate) show up to clean my sliding panels. They were working hard; I watched them the whole time using a high powered vacuum, using a screwdriver to clean the crevices, and lubricating every part. I'm super glad that there were actually TWO people to do the job because then they will be in and out of my house faster. They finished the job in 45 minutes; probably would've taken 2 hours for only one technician to do the job. What's nice is that they send you an email and text message of a picture of the technician showing up to your house; in addition to an ETA of when they are arriving. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my service, and I will definitely reach out to Door Pros again. read more

The first time they responded to a wiring issue with my garage door the technician couldn't find any other issues. Two days later the door sounded like a rocket ship so I called back and had to wait a few days till Monday for a re-visit. Monday came and a half hour before my appointment I was told that the technician was on a big assignment and couldn't arrive at my scheduled time and they couldn't tell me if he'd arrive at all but could reschedule me for Wednesday. I work a 9-5 job and took Monday off. Now I'd have to take Wednesday off. No thank you. I refused and they had supervisors call me saying I was being unreasonable. Say what? They dropped the ball but I was to blame? Yeah, no. Their business manager called me next and refunded the amount I had paid for the 1st call which was $99.00 and I should've know something was wrong then. I called a competitor, Patton Garage Doors and they came out when scheduled and he was the owners son! Great service, trouble shooting found the problem with the operator, repaired that, performed a free tube up of my equipment and charged me a nominal fee. Zero problems since. To be honest, I should bill Door Pros for MY time and the billing from Patton. They list a great customer because I had planned to have them replace my pool slider doors as well. We had Door Pros install a new Liftmaster garage door opener a couple of months ago. The job was done well, the guys worked clean, the installer took the time to explain how everything worked - including setting us up on the cell phone with the app to use remotely. He was really patient and made sure we were completely satisfied with everything before he left. Fast forward: Yesterday, the track on which the garage door opener cable runs came crashing down from it's mount on the wall above the garage. Fortunately, no one was hurt and our vehicle wasn't damaged. A call to Door Pros and they tried to get someone out same day, but couldn't. A one-day wait on short notice was not bad at all. Jason came out today. Before he arrived, we received a text from Door Pros to let us know he was on his way. The text included Jason's photo, a brief bio about him, a little about his experience, and the words "he will make sure to have your door up and running and working safely." What company does that? Every company can take a page from the Door Pros play book. As promised, Jason arrived shortly after that text. He quickly diagnosed the problem: the track had not been properly bracketed to the wall above the garage door when originally installed - it had been attached with only two bolts into the sheet rock. He didn't make excuses or try to pass the buck. He explained what he needed to do - install a support bracket and ensure it went into the stud above the garage door. After doing that, Jason then tightened the bolts which hold the opener to the ceiling and ensured that everything was secure. He then ran multiple tests to make sure everything was working smoothly. Afterwards, he reprogrammed the wall control to the correct time, ran through with us how to program it ourselves, and made sure our phone app was working as well. The entire time he was patient, polite and professional. This is the kind of customer service you hope to get from every company you have to deal with in whatever capacity. Even with the error on the original install, we would use this Door Pros again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them. read more
