This was probably the best meal we had while visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks…read more We had a day to explore the area and Grok (of all things/places) recommended visiting Victor and Driggs for the day. Kids had chicken tenders and the steak and fries. Both kids enjoyed their meal. The chicken tenders were huge and kid got 3 of them. The steak was about 5oz, which was a decent size for the kid. It came pre-cut, so the kiddo didn't have to handle a huge steak knife to cut it--which was nice. Both came with a generous serving of golden French fries. Fresh cut or frozen, these fries were good! Either a second ramekin of ketchup or a larger one is definitely needed for the amount of fries served. I had the burger. It wasn't fancy--just cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions--but it was a thick patty with fluffy bun with lots of flavor. It also came with a ton of golden fries. My mom had the BLT that didn't skimp on the pork belly. I wish the stores sold thick cut bacon like that. She said it was delicious. Hubby had the lobster roll. The kids brought the purple potato chips were the neatest thing (they were good, too). The lobster roll was perfectly dressed--not too much and not too skimpy--and tasted surprisingly fresh. This place is a little more upscale than some of the other places we've eaten at this week. We were welcomed as we were--shorts and tees. Other guests were dressed casually, not overly fancy. The adjacent museum was a cool place to visit, too. It housed 3 restored Navy planes that were neat to see. Since we're headed home tomorrow, we won't be back, but if we were staying longer, we'd make the ~hour long drive just to eat there again!

However, our food experience was also mixed. We shared a soup du jour (potato bacon broth based) which was awesome. Parmesan fries app came as a generous portion and were pretty good as was our elderberry mocktail. The big disappoint was the tandoori chicken which the waitress recommended but we found to be very dry. It was described on the menu as having a yogurt marinate, which was already mixed into the dish, but we couldn't really taste it. The tabouli/rice that came with it was also dry and didn't have much taste. The waitress was nice and tried to get more sauce but when she couldn't, she brought olive oil and vinegar which was ok but at that point I would have just liked something different as it was pretty mediocre. Forage is a nice restaurant with some nice options but you should expect to spend a fair amount. I would expect the fine dining experience quality to match the price, but we had enough good food here that I would come back to try something different.

We were there at 10 AM on a Monday after a holiday weekend and got sat right away. However, the weekend (when the friend group went without me) had a 2.5 hour dining experience, because everything is made in house, so there's no reheating, microwaving, etc. Things move a bit slower. I appreciate that. They warn you food may come out at varying times, but ours was pretty timely. Service was kind and warm. My Italian egg sandwich was flavorful, especially the pesto and the bread. Do yourself a favor and order the orange juice. Whether it's for a mimosa or by itself IT'S AMAZING. It does have pulp, but I am a pulp apologist, so I don't care. Restaurant is in a cute house painted the color of....you guessed it....butter. Happy to return next 4th of July!

Our coffees, regular drip and a latte, were solid and I loved how the waitress checked multiple times if I needed a warm-up (which I of course took advantage of). The smokey hibiscus chilaquiles were delicious as was the orzo elote salad. They each had very unique combinations of flavors and filled us up so much that we didn't even need lunch. We took the brown butter monkey bread with us to go and even though it wasn't warm when we ate it, it was still very tasty. Prices were as expected and service was amazing. Highly recommend.

Persephone absolutely lives up to the hype…read more The bakery is beautiful inside and has such a charming European feel. It's one of those places where you immediately want to order one of everything. We tried a few pastries along with the quiche, and everything was excellent. The Kouign Amann was buttery, flaky, and beautifully made, while the quiche was decadent without feeling heavy. The flavors in the quiche were amazing and the crust was perfect. Definitely one of the best quiches I've had. The breakfast sandwich was also an amazing savory item on the menu, it was served on their croissants so you get the best of both worlds. It does get busy, especially in the mornings, but it's worth the wait. The line moves fast and there's plenty of seating on their lovely patio. I'd consider this one of the must-stop bakeries in Jackson Hole.

I'd read about Persephone before our trip and marked it as a "must try" while in Jackson Hole…read more We walked over early (8am) on a Thursday morning to grab a cup of coffee and peruse the pastries. We were very surprised to find the line already went out the door! The line moved fast and boy you better be ready to order when you step up, because it is a fast moving, no messing around system. In addition there were at least three employees taking orders at the counter so the pastry case is extremely crowded and it's difficult to view what the options are. The employees weren't un-kind, but they there were no niceties like "good morning". They wanted to move you through the line quickly, so we didn't feel we could really peruse the pastries and so we skipped it and we just ordered a hot coffee and a large hot almond milk latte. People were already more than crowded inside waiting for their items so we stepped onto the patio. It was a chilly morning so the small fire pit was welcomed. For the giant crowd waiting we received our drinks within a reasonable time frame. They call names from inside behind the counter, so if you are not within 4 feet of the counter you will not hear them. We sat on the patio near the garden and the view was beautiful. My "large" latte was the same small size of my husband's drip coffee and both appeared to be around 12-14oz. Disappointing. The drip coffee was okay, but not worth returning for and my almond milk latte was also just okay. We maybe would have given Persephone another try, but in the end we chose to try the many other coffee/bakery shops in downtown. I'm not saying 'stay away', I'm just saying it's not as amazing as the hype. Other tips -look at the menu BEFORE you get in line, especially if it is buys -if you happen to snag an indoor seat realize there will be little to no privacy as the line will form right next to your table. -the birds outside are cute, friendly and will absolutely eat your food if you leave it unattended for even a moment - we saw a pack of small birds try to fly off with an entire egg croissant sandwich in the 1min the owner stepped inside for napkins. *don't worry, we stopped them

For instance, she told me that a side came with the sandwich I ordered, which was incorrect. While waiting for my order (which came out quickly), it was nice to look around and take in the decor. It was very tastefully decorated inside. The first time, I shared some food. It was good, but very expensive. I got a salad (22$) and a ham sandwich. The sandwich was 16$, which wasn't worth it. One slice of ham and one slice of cheese. The salad was fresh and flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are of high quality, but I don't know how people can afford this place regularly. The second time I went, I ordered two drinks to-go. One coffee, which was good. I found that a lot of coffee places in town don't know how to pull espresso, but my coffee was soo smooth. It made me happy! The second drink was incorrect. I ordered a matcha and didn't notice till I got home, and it was coffee. My companion, for whom I got it, was very sad, as they don't drink coffee. For a 10$ drink, I expect it to be correct.
